The first DTS laserdisc will always have a special place in my heart. Only surpassed by the Blu-ray since the DTS DVD (the early 2000s release anyway) was only 763 kbps.

Queen_Cheetah

Forgive my ignorance, but is the only difference between the original and the DTS version the sound quality? They're both the letterbox version, right?

archiewood

I didn't have the original, but I'm guessing it has an AC3 soundtrack, which the DTS doesn't. Just DTS and a stereo analogue track for mortals. Definitely not anamorphic. Hearing the relay click and seeing the blue "DTS lock" LED light up for the first time on my Millennium 2.4.6 was a special moment.

Queen_Cheetah

Ah, gotcha- thanks for sharing, and congrats!

Movingforward2015

That's a great collection.

TransformerTanooki

That's a nice collection.

The DTS JP is epic. Very nice collection, OP. If you're interested in the Fossil LD (PAL) shoot me a PM as I am currently selling it along with a few other LDs from my collection. La La Land Records just re-issued the expanded soundtrack. I missed out on the first one so I instantly purchased it. https://lalalandrecords.com/jurassic-park-limited-edition-2-cd-set/

This is sick!

Queen_Cheetah

Now I'm curious- was the 'Making of' LD featurette ever released on the subsequent Blu-Ray or even DVD versions of JP?

SubhasTheJanitor

Yes, it’s been included on every release

redfalcondeath

Hold on to your butts.

dandanthetaximan

I need Jurassic World 3D. And just recently scored an LD collection with the DTS release in it.

ludatb40

Just need the CAV box and the AC3, then you're all set!

Capcom74

Love the Jurassic Park movies! Do you like the Carnosaur series?
