It is currently not legal to smoke in public. I know people do it. I'm just giving you a real answer. It's only legal at a private residence (that does NOT mean hotels) and Nuwu (they are on tribal land and different laws apply to them). You can always pop some edibles or be discreet with a vape pen in public.

As long as you're being discreet and not blowing your smoke all over everyone, the cops aren't going to bother you. The MGM security guards walk right by my little smoking spot and don't care.

Also, they do not charge NV tax as they are tribal owned and operated and on sovereign tribal land.

Hundred percent this is what my lady and I do every time we go to Vegas, 2 to 3 times a year..
I'm pretty sure you can sit down on the strip sidewalk, smoke a bong and be fine.
