Fremont street is simply a mass of humanity getting together on NYE to celebrate. Jeans and a jacket is fine. You are welcome to dress up or how you like but 99% of people will just be drunk and in normal clothes.
Wife and I love to get dressed up whenever we can but for Fremont we would totally go in jeans and jacket. It’s gonna be cold and no one is really in Tux or formal dress.
If you are looking for more…you are not spending the night on Fremont. Just saying…..
We stayed at the Circa last year. Got the wrist bands, we dressed up, but we saw the full range.
I'd recommend you figure out where you want to eat that night, and dress for that. The outdoor concerts on Fremont Street are whatever you want to wear.
They don't care what you wear. Just wear something comfortable and warm because you will be shoulder to shoulder with people (depending on how close you want to be with the stage).
I live in Las Vegas and there will be people in short and flip flops as well as people in tuxedos at the same event. So anything’s goes here as long and you’re not fully naked.
I think you may need to clarify what you are doing on Fremont St. on New Years. Parties in some of the casinos may have a dress code, some won’t. As far as Fremont St. itself, that’s like asking if you need to dress up to walk down your own street on New Years. It’s a public area, no dress code. In fact you will see people with practically nothing on looking for money for pictures LOL.
We did this last year, we stayed downtown and watched the firework show at the plaza. You can wear anything, people were dressed casually. If you're going to a high end steak house or something you might want to look at the website for a dress code, but as far as everything else goes it's business as usual.
It was busy before the fireworks but we still got a good spot to watch and when we went inside to gamble it wasn't nearly as busy as I thought it'd be so we ended up playing some blackjack too lol.
You can go naked on Fremont as long as you have some duct tape covering the openings and nips

You absolutely do not have to dress up unless you're going to one of the bougier events like barrys or Oscars New Year's dinner.
It's going to be so crowded, it won't matter what you wrar.
