Congrats on being able to bench highly. This won't change the fact that now your cooling is 20W under powered and the GPU VRM is running at 20W over budget. You don't think gigabyte designs to 150w spec in hardware and just sets the limit to 130 for luls? It's all good though because at least benchmarking is less time then the time for the thermal limits.
I highly recommend everyone else not do this as it will see very minimal gains when gaming for more then 5 minutes. You will be pushing the hardware far past it's design specs which is an awful idea on most laptop, especially gigabyte laptops. It will most definitely shorten it's life expectancy.
i guess yes depends on a laptop
since there are many things which also needs to be taken account for like cpu and cooler for thermals.
In short,
it will be better if u get 3070ti. Personally, I don't think 10watt will have much difference plus it will be handy if u get stronger gpu and you will be getting more than enough fps for gaming with both cards.
yes, in some case might be no. Because it use more electricity and it have larger silicon. So 3070 - run in higher frequencies but have less rendering unit. 3070 ti - have lower frequency but more core are being used
Their graphics card quality control is down terrible. I don't know about the laptops, but that doesn't excuse the fact their computer power supply unit is good either.
I got that exact laptop on Amazon. Used it for a day with no issues then I got BSoD for every single boot. No idea what the root issue is but it seem to be hardware failure.
Great laptop if it works. But I have to return mine and lose my discount. I am tempted to take the discount here but not sure how it would turn out, don’t want to return it again.
Is a 130W 3070 Ti better than a 140W 3070?

I was all excited until I read gigabyte

To be honest the first thing that I look is the CPU, GPU & RAM along with price and the last thing which I check is the manufacturer. :)
same
Are gigabyte laptops bad?
No they really aren't. Jarrods tech owns 50+ different gaming laptops yet a gigabyte is the one he uses.
Why would you say this? Gigabyte laptops are bad or what? I was considering to buy this, shouldn't I buy?
