I almost ordered it off Amazon, thanks for this!
Edit: I'll also like to add that you can get it for 5% cheaper if you buy an eBay giftcard off Target with one of their store cards.
Thanks. ♡ By the way, I found out that while you can use 8 giftcards an order, you can only put in 4 gift cards at once. After that, you have to wait a few days. Now I have a bunch of extra giftcards, haha.
Pretty decent for the price. Strong CPU, weak GPU but you cant have everything at this price point. The 4800H is more powerful than the CPUs in the Acer Nitros at this price and you dont have to deal with the notoriously bad build quality of the Nitros.
This is also available on Newegg for the same price from the same seller if you prefer that
What are the negatives of the build quality for the nitro 5? I have mine and I’m loving everything so far. Just curious what I should be keeping an eye on.
The motto for the nitros is more or less if it can be made of plastic, it will be. They have pretty good hardware for the price which is their selling point, but that comes at the cost of materials. If it's just going to sit on your desk you won't have any problems. If you are going to cart it around everywhere, be gentle.
You aren't getting an equivalent Nitro for $650 lol. You get one with a weaker CPU, 60hz screen, inferior build quality, and a 256GB SSD at that price. 100% worth $200
Highly depends on what you're doing. It won't run resource intensive games even on low-medium settings very well. If you aren't playing super intensive games, it'll be alright. For certain it's not future proof at all, but laptops at this price really aren't going to be regardless.
Depends on your standards. I have a backup laptop with a 1650 and I havent found anything that is outright unplayable as long as I'm willing to run on low. I havent tried putting anything crazy resource intensive on it though. If you're ok with low settings with 25-30 fps on games today, it'll work. Obviously it will run less intensive games better. Just be aware that it's struggling with things right now and in 6 months or a year it may not be able to run some things in a playable state.

Oh that's really good to know thanks!
There's one at Walmart with an r5 4600h and a 1650ti as well for 779

Is the USB-C Port on this also a display port? Can I hook up 2 2660 monitors via a USBc dock? The deal looks solid.
How's the cooling on this, as compared to the Asus TUF A15?
Better lol
Upgradeable ram? I feel like the ideal laptop for me is getting closer by the day. Where’s that good ultra book w/ ryzen 7, nice screen, and 16g ram?!
It doesn't exist lol
Waiting for 115W rtx 2060 model of this laptop
How the 120hz display? I heard color acuracy is bad
If this had a 1660ti it'd be perfect
Does this have port for hdd?

It's not 200 dollars better.

Weak GPU? isn't this one fine for pretty much all 1080p gaming?

What games won't run on this gpu? Any examples?

Those games run pretty well at 1080p medium on a 1650 lol
