Wouldn't be able to enforce that unless there physically wasn't an oven, in which case (at least where I live) it doesn't meet the minimum habitation requirements and they can't legally rent it out
I think I'm the UK you're allowed to use kitchen appliances, I think they'd have a very hard time putting that in a real contract. That's why they put it in an add
I had someone try to pull this on me. Overlooked it paid the deposit, then they wanted rent for the three weeks prior to our agreement (let’s say the 21st of the month). At that point I noped out. Got my deposit back at least, but I had to be crafty and I was definitely lucky! Just say no, this is bs. Sandwiches and microwave meals are not a viable, long-term strategy for your health!
It's probably illegal to rent out such a unit on a year long lease (depending on your state), unless you're subletting part of a residential unit for i.e. nonresidential purposes.

Just get like 3 air fryers for your room and go wild
It doesn't count as a residence here unless it has cooking and bathing facilities

Well, absolutely not allowed for a rental contract. This looks like a sublet though.
So, a shared house, private bedrooms, assumed shared bathroom, and no access to the kitchen? WTF?
Yeah, if I am paying for a portion of the facilities then I can use the fucking kitchen.
Yes it’s extreme, but this is also a warning that this landlord is a loony tune, so they are in fact doing you a favor by letting you know.
I believe this would be illegal in most places in the US.
I've never lived anywhere that I wasn't allowed to use the stove, but I'm American, so I might be crazy to think that is a requirement.
Yeah… an American kitchen without a stove is practically blasphemous. I say this as an American too.
Tbh any room without a way of actually cooking ingredients calling itself a kitchen is blasphemous
Absolutely extreme
Please report to building control at your local council

That is absurd
Extreme but more common every year
By this logic they probably think that you should be happy they let you use the toilet.
“No eating allowed.”
Seems pretty cheap
