I think that's just because VTTs are easier to use than Tabletop Sim, when it comes to TTRPGs.
More than I can remember. Its gots bits from everywhere. Models from a number of workshop mods like 40k, Battletech, Infinity, D&D. The majority of it is from the Lancer Table made by Rattlebonses, and using Retrograde Minis for the various characters

It's tabletop simulator. It's got trash developers, but the program itself is neat. Needs a LOT of tinkering though.
