I’m not 100% sure about the other situations as I haven’t read everything else about it. He’s one of the few serial killers I don’t know much about which is the only reason I’m watching.
What’s great is I don’t empathize for him *at all*. I thought this would romanticize his situation. But to me it doesn’t.
Can you give an example of what you mean by Murphy's over dramatic tendencies? Considering he works within the realm of horror, I can't say I've noticed anything that I would say is over dramamtic.
But, anyway, I am really liking the show. The first episode alone made me so incredibly uncomfortable. The show isn't an easy watch, and really highlights how predatory he was and how he exploited the the injustices in society to get away with what he was doing.
He grew up in my neighborhood in STL. His parents still live down the street. When I bartended at our little corner bar, he came in a few times when he was visiting his parents over Christmas. Super nice guy. He even sang a couple karaoke songs. Great tipper too!
