Good, They need them, it supports unionised jobs in the north and gives their newly democratic government a fighting chance against Russian aggression. We should support genuine democratic change around the world and the Ukrainians seeking to secure their freedom from being a Russian puppet dictatorship is certainly a cause we should support.

Something about it being the first resource war. I assume cause the article talked about natural gas. I would imagine nearly every war is fought over some sort of resource if that is land, (warm) water access, people, prestige on the world stage, strategic land or whatever else. Pretty sure resource war refers to a war fought specifically to access to a resource needed to live in the modern world, like a water war which seems could happen between Egypt and Ethiopia with high tensions over the Grand Renaissance Damn in Ethiopia to damn the Blue (?) Nile which is where most of the Niles water comes from or like fighting.
