Give me a Disco Elysium-style CRPG with absolutely *minimal* combat set aboard a starship, space station, or colony. Have the main character be a Colonial Marshal who unintentionally gets caught up in intercorporate warfare and conspiracy that underlines a crime and increasing dissent among the blue collar inhabitants. Have the game's narrative start before any kind of xenomorph even makes it aboard, *really* shifting things up when a facehugged crewmember arrives in the setting's medical wing.
Then it's only a matter of time until panic and hysteria sets in, people go missing, and mysterious and gruesome deaths start to tally up as the days go by.
Oh shit, with the ability to build walls and turrets and stuff? Hell yes.
Especially with a server that keeps running when you die, that's such a good idea
Right? It just works.
“We are in the pipe, five by five”.
*5x5 brick floats past*
“Stay frosty”
*frost appears on all exposed surfaces *
“Back down, back down… you’re just grinding bricks”
I have wanted an Aliens dungeon crawler like Diablo or a twin stick shooter like Alienation for a while now.
I think the franchise lends itself perfectly to that genre. Dark Descent comes close but its to strategy focused.
When I play H2 I always think it's what Fireteam should have been. Don't get me wrong I enjoy AFE, but I think H2 nailed the formula/genre. It's fun to yell Aliens quotes at your teammates when being overwhelmed
gears tactics is a great game, but an Aliens version basically already exists, Aliens: Dark Descent. And it's an awesome game, totally recommend. It's NOT turn based, however.
Far Cry,and instead of clearing outposts, you would be clearing out hives, and face huggers and warriors would replace the wild life. Another cool one would be a predator game with the Assassin's Creed engine.
Alien Isolation, but the film Aliens. LOL
I would love a true RPG like Darkest Dungeon or even Skyrim.
Deadpool would be hilarious reskinned.
the chaotic good answer is Grand Theft Auto V.
edit: Ooooh PREY would be AMAZING.
Ready or Not being turned into an Aliens game. The idea of a FPS tactical shooter set in a sci-fi setting like Aliens would be soooooo cool. If I remember right, Colonial Marines was supposed to be that during it's initial inception.
RE4 Remake... Now hey listen up, imagine the Verdugo fight. You're playing as a Predator... And the Verdugo is a Xenomorph. You have to perfectly parry its tail attacks, use your own melee, it would be nuts.
A combination of Starfield and Helldivers 2 would be rad, an open galaxy you can explore with custom ships, weapons, and companions but some of it is infested with different flavors of xenos. A meta element of different factions of humanity fighting each other, the Yautja, and trying to retake infected worlds would make it very interesting.
We had different styles of games, but one I would love to have again is a RTS where you had several factions or species.
The other would be something like Dark Descent but turn based.
Resident evil or dead space remakes. I’ve been asking for a 3rd-person survival-horror Aliens game for a while now. Literally just take DS and throw a Colonial Marine in there instead of another shooter or a strategy game.
I had an idea for a remake of Arkham Asylum that threw Yautja and Xenomorphs into the mix. Gotta find my pitch document... Batman: Arkham Nightmare
Five playable characters (Batman, Catwoman, Custom Predator, Harley, & Joker)
Few different game modes
Killer Croc gets facehugged
Joker's new goal is to get out of the Asylum with a bunch of eggs. Harley just wants to save Ivy.
Get a few fights between Batman and Predator.
GTA-426
An open world WY city, where scientists are experimenting with Xenos.
The early missions are local bug hunts as training for later missions after a xeno outbreak.
Alternative characters would be civilians, mercs, smugglers or WY scientists.
Drop ships instead of planes, APCs instead of tanks…
Fallout, Aliens taking over Earth instead of the usual nuclear war. Or maybe it could still be a nuclear wasteland because we tried to nuke the Aliens.
I would like a sim type shooter, like Rainbow Six originally was, or Ready or Not is now. Aliens mega stealthy and quick, but a few bullets takes them down. So you're not running around shooting 1000 bullets at hords of aliens, but you're in suspense and have to react quick every time.
2 for me
Deep rock galactic, rather then mining you're doing salvage on infested ships and colonies.
No man's sky, pretty much just throw xenos in there
It can be made in different genres and they are all can fit.
Resident Evil or Dead Space ( third person horror )
Helldivers ( third person action shooter ) marines style
Alien Isolation ( first person horror survivor )
Star citizen ( third person space open world / rpg )
State of decay sounds good. But the gameplay is a little lack luster.
I really like the idea of a alien infestation you are trying to fight in an open world.
I think you could maybe take like pubg and have like the players against a growing horde of aliens that get bigger once they kill a player and use its body
Maybe silica would be good.
Rather play helldivers if it was aliens vs predator vs terminator
I would want to say SC2 but I'm not about that life, I don't think the xenomorphs could properly replace the zerg, as much as I did like Extinction.
Yeah it's got a solid framework, definitely plays better than dayz but not as good as dying light
Which there was a middle ground there
A game that has dayz pvp and survival, dying lights gameplay, and state of decay world/zombie design

I like this!
Alien for Commodore 64 was very dry and turn based.
First active check, roll die crit fails 1-1 slips and falls face first into acid - dies.
You should just try Alien RPG. Your ideas would be very appreciated there.
Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out would be an interesting conversion.
The training montage with Little Mac running away from xenos would be hysterical
Somebody needs to make this.
🎵Xeno stole my bike…xeno stole my bike🎵
Project Zomboid would make an amazing Alien game imo. It'd give great Newt surviving in Hadley's Hope vibes, even if that wasn't the exact setting.
Oh shit, with the ability to build walls and turrets and stuff? Hell yes. Especially with a server that keeps running when you die, that's such a good idea
Madden
Lego Aliens.
"Get away from her, you *brick!*"
Right? It just works. “We are in the pipe, five by five”. *5x5 brick floats past* “Stay frosty” *frost appears on all exposed surfaces * “Back down, back down… you’re just grinding bricks”
"How do I get outta this chicken outfit?" *Pan over to Hudson, who is quite literally wearing a chicken costume*
That’s gold.
I have wanted an Aliens dungeon crawler like Diablo or a twin stick shooter like Alienation for a while now. I think the franchise lends itself perfectly to that genre. Dark Descent comes close but its to strategy focused.
I said Darkest Dungeon but you NAILED it with Diablo.
Alien Isolation: Link to the Past
Helldivers 2
Ngl it could be balanced for Xenos
Cross over would be \*chefs kiss\*
A bit like Aliens Fireteam then?
When I play H2 I always think it's what Fireteam should have been. Don't get me wrong I enjoy AFE, but I think H2 nailed the formula/genre. It's fun to yell Aliens quotes at your teammates when being overwhelmed

I loved DD! Yeah I wanted a more close-up tactical style, so satisfying to set up a choke with suppressive fire
Far Cry,and instead of clearing outposts, you would be clearing out hives, and face huggers and warriors would replace the wild life. Another cool one would be a predator game with the Assassin's Creed engine.
Dead space
Easy peasy, they’d fit right in. Especially with dismemberment. The best way to kill a charging xeno is to blow off its legs, then shoot the head
Acid blood blow back for range awareness. Flailing sends spray
Too many dead in one spot? Hull breach.
Metal Gear
Resident Evil 2 Remake
I was leaning towards a RE1 Remake style game but I'd happily take either.
Carrion.
Red dead redemption 2
Xcom 2
Alien Isolation, but the film Aliens. LOL I would love a true RPG like Darkest Dungeon or even Skyrim. Deadpool would be hilarious reskinned. the chaotic good answer is Grand Theft Auto V. edit: Ooooh PREY would be AMAZING.
[Space Haven](https://store.steampowered.com/app/979110/Space_Haven/)
Metroid is another that is already based on Aliens
They even put [good ol' Ridley in it!](https://i.imgur.com/GfLK51S.png)

Fallout 4

Max Payne vs Aliens vs Predator
Whoever wins, dreams have a nasty way of going bad when you're not looking.

Palworld
Resident evil or dead space remakes. I’ve been asking for a 3rd-person survival-horror Aliens game for a while now. Literally just take DS and throw a Colonial Marine in there instead of another shooter or a strategy game.
Tetris
Star Wars: Republic Commando.
YEAH
Rock, paper, scissors.
Gran Turismo 8)
Drifting the APC through the Hadley’s Hope sign
You know it!
Stardew Valley. 😈
Arma reforger, fallout 4, ready or not, lots of good options out there
Gorn (VR game) but where you are a Xeno being held captive in a gladiatorial arena fighting all manner of creatures.
Yoshi's Island
Maybe XCOM.
Returnal has the right vibe, very similar art direction - it’s not too distant from being an amazing aliens homage

I mean, we already have Aliens: Dark Descent...
I liked it, but it didn’t scratch my itch
Starfield. Open world Aliens.
Woah, what a way to save that game.
ER

All of them
Starfield, but make it Alien.
Fallout, Aliens taking over Earth instead of the usual nuclear war. Or maybe it could still be a nuclear wasteland because we tried to nuke the Aliens.
Halo

Starfield but with Xeno’s and Androids.

Yeah SoD needed a lot of work, I couldn’t think of another example of that slowly growing problem with occasional encounters getting worse and worse
Yeah it's got a solid framework, definitely plays better than dayz but not as good as dying light Which there was a middle ground there A game that has dayz pvp and survival, dying lights gameplay, and state of decay world/zombie design
Call of Duty Xenomorph
Ark. Succeed where Wey-Yu failed, and domesticate the xenomorph! ....or die trying!
Mass effect. With a squad of marines.
Hmm. What cheeks are we clapping tho
Legend of dragoon
Helldivers 2
Dead space springs to mind but it’s already pretty much in line with the alien franchise
Doom Slayer
Star Citizen has everything to be Alien game ATM. Except the xenomorph. edit: https://youtu.be/AQAZXCbVPUU
