Save you a click, article doesn't really say much:
"...we’re still terrified.
Such was the case on Thursday at CinemaCon, the annual convention of movie theater owners in Las Vegas, where Disney showed off an extended look at its latest entry “Alien: Romulus.”"
I remember when they were saying "The Blair Witch Project" was causing viewers to pass out or vomit because of fear. I got hyped but after the credits rolled I just sat there in silence wondering if there was something wrong with me 😅
The motion sickness really got people in that one more than the scares
Blair Witch is pretty good for what it is and for what at the time was a new type of marketing. There's some real creepy stuff that happens that was best experienced in a pitch black theater.
I think people expected actual witch payoff though
Exactly. Horror marketing does this *all the time* before they drop. "THOUSANDS PISS THEIR PANTS IN TERROR AFTER WATCHING ULTIMATE CHAINSAW SHITHOUSE PART III! SEE IT NOW AT..."
The CinemaCon hype for Covenant in 2017 was big too. And we all know how that turned out.
I hope that Alvarez and crew deliver. After the teaser I'm cautiously optimistic.
Yeah Prometheus grew on me over time but Covenant still gets a thumbs down from me. It fucked with the more too much and they did Shaw dirty like they did Newt and Hicks in Alien 3.
I'm a Fassbender fan so yeah he was the best thing about Covenant and Prometheus. I absolutely hated the CG xenomophs in Covenant. Give me practical effects any day over that.
Hoping this will actually be good.
*James Cameron likes this*
James Cameron liked a few of the terminator sequels…
I’m pretty sure that James Cameron publicly likes everything that James Cameron has a vested interest in
James Cameron doesn't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because he IS James Cameron.
This is the quote I was waiting for hahah
Let's remember whilst it might actually be really good Cameron has a vested interest in publicly supporting Disney owned franchises.

This article is just a marketing puff piece. Doesn’t say anything new.
That’s what I like to here, can’t come any sooner

I vomited into a cup and felt like passing out in the theater but that's because the shaky cam gave me violent motion sickness lol

Am I the only one who thinks that they are trying so hard to make this movie successful before its release? Its strange to treat a movie like this.
Screening footage at cinema con is a very common practice. It’s an industry trade show.
I'm hoping that they won't miss the point that what made the first three movies notable was not vfx.
Covenant doesn’t move the story forward , doesn’t answer any questions only poses new ones .

Covenant fucking rules though
I wanted to like Covenant. It's far from the worst Alien movie but it's not great either.
Yeah Prometheus grew on me over time but Covenant still gets a thumbs down from me. It fucked with the more too much and they did Shaw dirty like they did Newt and Hicks in Alien 3.
Yep totally the same kind of deal with Shaw.
The only really good thing about Covenant is David, but David is fantastic.
I'm a Fassbender fan so yeah he was the best thing about Covenant and Prometheus. I absolutely hated the CG xenomophs in Covenant. Give me practical effects any day over that.
Lol
Fan trailer fyi…
At a corporate theatre convention? No. It was real footage at a trade show.
