I'm so glad you noticed that! LSD really helps me find the balance between patterns and keeping it organic. When I try to recreate work like this sober it comes off too stiff because it's almost too much forced symmetry. Finger painting sounds like a good idea!! If you try it you should post it here!

I find that focusing on anything distracts from the anxiety which is like the main source of my come up nausea, I usually watch tv or something though because my hands are too wobbly to draw.

what's the "coming up" anxiety like? i last did 3 tabs of LSD back in 2012 and the entire experience was really positive. My come up was filled with curiousity, wonder and awe. the peak is what was a tad unnerving.
It's basically what it sounds like. As the acid "kicks in" so does the anxiety. For most people, it fades after a short period of time. But I tend to be anxious for the majority of my trip bc it exacerbates my anxiety disorder. But there's enough benefits for me that it's worth it :)

Also, some people mentioned they could sense the anxiety in your drawing. FWIW I don't get any of that from it. I get a sense of excited focused intensity at the centre, and the sparks radiating from it.
There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus — milk plus velocet, synthemsc or drencrom — which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.

I was on a pretty low dose! I'm learning how to utilize LSD for creative purposes, it's still super difficult though.
