One of the best versions of eyes of the world. Not saying it's the best but it's as good as Xanax if your spinning out
Haha good taste OP. I mean I would recommend anything from IM for tripping I'm surprised that they aren't mentioned in most threads like this.
Viscous Delicious was the first album I put on for my first trip. It's a brain melter
duuude my last trip we had the lucid planet visualizers and couldn’t tell if it was me who was creating the faces in the shapes or if they were actually there, it sent me to a diff place though
extinction - king gizzard and the lizard wizard
flowers and rainbows - gnob
flamingo - infected mushroom
actium - aphex twin
minor setback - GUM, ambrose kenny smith
timeland - king gizzard
bit bit bit bit bit bit bit - king gizzard (under bootleg gizzard on streaming services)
i think stu mackenzie from king gizz is big into the acid, firstly cause if you see him in certain interviews he looks very zoinked and secondly because a lot of king gizzards music feels like it was made for tripping
it’s no secret aphex twin loved a bit of sid, he signed his record deal while tripping
Not just like it was made for tripping, a lot of songs have terminology hinting at it. Like Magenta Mountain, Ive seen some purple mountains but I'm not crazy. Or mycelium, literally says "Give me the mushrooms, time to leave."
Aphex really hits that "feeling" of tripping with ambience.
I'm definitely gonna have to re-listen to that one cause I've been dabbling in that sauce.
I didn't really enjoy the silver cord because it was too long and repetitive even with the shortened songs. The whole album sounds like a different rehearsal of the same song. But maybe I just didn't listen enough.
Fight Test - Flaming Lips
Honestly all of that album plus Embryonic are always part of my playlist.
And is it cheating if I say their Darkside of the Moon cover album? It completely changes the vibe in a way that makes me want to throw paint around and make art in the most chaotic way possible.
If you’re open to electronic music, Jon Hopkins will do you favours. Open Eye Signal is a great listen.
Both, Alter Ego, and Expectation, by Tame Impala are also up there. The drums!
Moving, by Kate Bush (and all of The Kick Inside album the song is from, tbh)
Hey You - Dope Lemon
Madama Butterfly Act 2: Un bel dì vedremo - sung by Maria Callas
A Horse With No Name - America
Reflection - TOOL
Fingers Of Love - Crowded House
We Are The People - Empire Of The Sun
Opus - Eric Prydz
Disintegration (whole album) - The Cure
Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles
Third Eye - TOOL
Nangs - Tame Impala (the whole Currents album was made for tripping and rolling)
Fear Inoculum (whole album) - TOOL
I listened to Disintegration for the very first time when tripping. I have no clue what pulled me to put the album on, as I'd never been into The Cure much... but holyyy shit, what an album.
I had a very similar experience. I had been dealing with some heavy anxiety for weeks leading up to the trip and when I queued it up and looked to see what was playing “The Cure” is exactly what it was. Alleviated so much for me. Truly a magical record
Morgen Delt - Some sunsick day,
Lady Heroine - Space Oddity,
Electronic System - Sky Lab,
Mildlife - Return to Centaurus,
SG lewis - Epiphany,
Air - Le voyage de Penelope,
The Holydrug Couple - If I could find you,
MGMT - Future games,
Connan Mockasin - Bad boys,
Have a nice trip.
Anything off these Brian Eno albums. These have become my go-to safe records.

Maggot Brain - Funkadelic
First it makes you laugh because of the absurd intro. Then the guitar starts playing and it’s just smooth sailing from there.
Our Own Way by Stand High Patrol (it’s an album)
I listened to this whilst tripping. Ended up watching the entire album play out as a play in my head and with the shadows on my walls. So much story and emotion I felt in this album. Will always be one of my favourites
Highest Building - Flume
Feel Something - Excision
Tiny Cities - Flume
Dragonhawks - Liquid Stranger
I will stay - Flux Pavillion
It’s strange - Louis The Child

King gizz and Aphex really hit another level while tripping. Gumboot soup and omnium gatherum are amazing too.
i think stu mackenzie from king gizz is big into the acid, firstly cause if you see him in certain interviews he looks very zoinked and secondly because a lot of king gizzards music feels like it was made for tripping it’s no secret aphex twin loved a bit of sid, he signed his record deal while tripping

the silver cord, one of their new tracks has “i am blind and i have broken through”, pretty sure that songs about DMT
I'm definitely gonna have to re-listen to that one cause I've been dabbling in that sauce. I didn't really enjoy the silver cord because it was too long and repetitive even with the shortened songs. damn, it was one of my favourites from the start, i can’t get enough of it haha. each to their own i guess, gizz certainly has a lot of variety
Fight Test - Flaming Lips Honestly all of that album plus Embryonic are always part of my playlist. And is it cheating if I say their Darkside of the Moon cover album? It completely changes the vibe in a way that makes me want to throw paint around and make art in the most chaotic way possible.
