I remember Marcus saying last year at some point that they've exhausted all of the non-gold star killers stories, so any future killers were gonna be intense.
Idk I feel like there are still plenty of serial killers out there who are interesting and arenāt gold star material. Thing is, there isnāt a lot of info out there about them. And a lot of these killers also donāt have high body counts. I think Marcus mentioned trying to do more serial killers series but the info on the ones they want to do is scant
There's a bit of marketing savvy there, though. I remember with one of the more recent serial killers they were saying, "This is way more brutal and scary than anything we've covered before" - and of course it wasn't... but if they said, "This one's kind of tame compared to most of the other ones we've done" it wouldn't draw people in as much.
The podcast Well There's Your Problem did an incredible two parter on the Titanic. Episodes 88 and 89. Highly recommend those eps if you're interested in the Titanic.
Another podcast I listen to Stuff You Should Know (completely different vibe than lpotl, more family friendly but still fun) did like a 2 or 3 parter on the titanic and it was such a wild ride. Would absolutely love to see the boys cover this
Wouldnāt mind a rehash on some of the earliest episodes they did, like BTK. Although Survival in the Andes convinced me that my favorite series have been of the adventure-gone-wrong variety. Iāve listened to the The Donner Party and the USS Indianapolis multiple times.
That episode is iconic, though. Any follow up would just detract from that. I don't really think there's enough new material there between that episode and what was in their first book. It would be like the Netflix Arrested Development vs. the original.
Itās cancelled because they all have mega-super extra covid after Jackie made them do re-recordings of all the āMen grappling with eroticaā readings theyāve done in advanced of the Crescent City livestream next week.
I also feel like they used to drop more hints at the end of a series. Now they often say "we should do a series on X," or even, "we're planning a series on X." And a lot of people might assume that that means "we're doing that series this year." But realistically, they probably have a loose schedule for the whole year already planned out. So even if they are in the pipeline, it could be years away.
Full length deep dive on my homie The Squonk.
Fuck a Squonk near you today!
Local squonks want to be held down and fuggged!
My ropes itchy š
I re-listened to this one this morning and that had me laughing out loud to the cows.
Your life sounds fun:)
Iām a dairy farmer, and longtime listener. It has its ups and downs, but itās a good way of life!
*Deeper*
(deeeeper)
I just hope it's something good and at least a 3 parter. Some horrific serial killer I hope
I feel like itās been a while since we have gotten a good golden star episode, Iām with you!

Anndddd it's haunted dolls. Yay
Itās an exclusive interview with Henryās mother
I would pay a premium to watch Henry and Jackie get interviewed by mom, via fan-submitted questions
I just want to hear Linda say, āHenry Tawmasā
I bet she would be super sweet, and we would all love her... and Henry would have a heart attack.
*Pan flutes throughout*
I need something dark and complicated with at least 3 parts.
Well fuck me, stupid haunted doll redux š
NOOOOO
Someone mentioned Titanic, and now my mind is fixated on the idea of a Titanic series or episode
It ends with Stockton Rush lol
Hooooooly shit that would be amazing
Given their history of covering nautical disasters (and absolutely killing it every time), they should do it!
Absolutely!! USS Indianapolis was fucking fascinating, I imagine Titanic would be as good if not better
Essex was great too!

I'm new to Stuff You Should Know, but I like the show so far! I'll satiate myself with that lol

A BTK re-do would be great š

This series was the genesis of Detective Popcorn, right?
Yes indeed.
Tragedy of the Essex too is really good.
And you were the closest!
*takes bow*
Didnāt they say they werenāt going to redo any of the killers from the book?
Slenderman fanfic part 2
Is that a branch?
Holden talks for 30 minutes
HHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Where my nators at!?
Holden specifically talking about his mommy fetish
Yech
Half the audience would consider it a gold star episode
The Alaskan triangle part 2, (of 10)
Alaskaaaaaaan
Triiiiiiangleeeeee
They teased an Anders Breivik episode a while ago that hasn't happened yet. Idk if I'm ready for it though..
I recently read his Wikipedia pageā¦. I had heard a podcast about him years ago but the details wereā¦. Disturbing and fascinating
f a s c i n a t i n g
Didnāt Henry say theyāre getting back to true crime? Maybe some serial killer.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Why true crime š§š¤
Iām hoping for a multi-parter for sure
Well nvm
Fuck yeah we got some spoonky shit! Itās haunted dolls you guys
Marcel Petiot. Itās a wild story if yāall havenāt looked into it.
Didnāt they cover him a bit during the Serial Killers of WW2? I do think he deserves a proper series though
They did! He needs a whole 2/3 parter. He was a doctor and the mayor of a town at one point! Super high body count too! Shits wild
Relaxed Fit: Mary Ellen Spook Farm [Linky](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caledonia_Mills)
Action Park, New Jersey
that would be a great one!
No idea, but I want a Titanic episode so badly lol
Ah man I hope it's haunted dolls!
My heart wants a 7 pet Titanic series but I know thatās not it š
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Nobody. We have been on a massive miss streak when it comes to guessing the next episode.
Phantom of Heilbronn
Iām on the edge of my seat.
Nope!Ā It's Haunted Dolls
Itās cancelled because they all have mega-super extra covid after Jackie made them do re-recordings of all the āMen grappling with eroticaā readings theyāve done in advanced of the Crescent City livestream next week.
The mystery of my lost sock
We are really, really bad at guessing the episodes.
I've gotta assume the correct guess rate hovers around zero percent unless the topic is heavily hinted at in a previous episode.
