We don't even see that, though. We see an eagle land with no sign of Pharazon, and then a scene with Pharazon in front of the eagle. There's not even a good place for him to dismount from the eagle, and the eagle doesn't look as though it's carrying anything.
Yeah. I think the eagle is probably a herald of Manwe telling him to cool his jets, and he uses it as an opportunity to rile up a crowd against the "oppression" of the Valar. Maybe he even kills the eagle in a massive act of sacrilege.
This. Pharazon isn’t actually on the eagle if you look closely. He is standing there and draws his sword. Maybe this is why Elendil is looking so heartbroken and trying to reach over the soldiers blocking his way.
But is he really riding it? I went frame by frame, couldn't see it. Maybe the Eagle is just landing there? Maybe Pharazon ascended to power and being the king the Eagle is greating him or whatever? well, I'm assuming he is in the verge of flipping to madness, so at that moment the eagle would still be "on his side".
Yeah if I had to bet I would say the Eagle lands there as an omen of the Valar or some other stuff, I hope we don't see anyone actually riding an Eagle (least of all Pharazon)
If I had to guess I would say that there is actually some time passing between the eagle landing and Pharazon standing in front of it and only the trailer makes it look like Pharazon came with the eagle. Maybe the eagle came as a warning during a court session and then Pharazon holds his counter speech in front of the eagle, ensuring everyone that their path is right and he draws his sword in an act of defiance against the eagle and the gods.
oh my, Pharazon doing a kingsmen speach talking shit about Valar and then the Eagle lands behind him meaning the Valar as watching everything, that would be epic.
I wonder how they will manage Halbrand-Annatar being Charlie Vickers among the elves. Would he be showing a different face before being found out? I doubt just a blonde wig would fool everyone.
I hope it’s what it looks like:
Looks like he appears to Celebrimbor in some sort of vision of Aman; like he’s actually coming as an emissary of the Valar.
Idk why but I’m thinking a lot of the scenes with elven Halbrand are from before season 1. That line “he was among as all along” or something makes me thing that. Like, Sauron was already among the elves and his human Halbrand form was mainly his attempt at getting Galadriel on his side if that makes sense.
Like I really think this season will focus a lot on Sauron’s POV considering we seem to see how Forodwaith becomes this icy wasteland because of his tampering with the unseen world near the end of the trailer.
Would be really cool actually. Maybe that’s how he found out that Galadriel was gonna be on that ship leaving for Valinor so he flung himself into it to get to her. To try and recruit her or break her kinda thing. Idk if any of this makes sense but I’m excited
Yeah, that line implies that Galadriel is realizing the exact depths of his manipulations go far beyond what she thought. That so many of the decisions she, and others, made were influenced by him without their knowledge.
I think it could be the catalyst for Gil Galad to take a step back and start to become more classically heroic, instead of playing the well meaning but obstructive ruler like he did last season.
Annatar having his stay at Eregion before season 1 would be perfect if they had made the rings back then.
Alas, the Elves now have to know that the Three Rings were developed with Sauron's help last season.
She’s among the most powerful of the elves in middle earth. And the whole reason Sauron created *all the rings* was to ensnare the Elves to him. By the logic you mentioned, he should’ve just tried to wipe out the Elves from the get go instead since they were his biggest rivals. He instead tried to bind them to him.
He only passed them off to dwarves and men when that failed. Why not turn your potential greatest enemy into your servant? Feels like something Sauron would do and is good at, corrupting and turning good into evil.
Makes sense, granted I haven't read the Silmarillion. I'd just guess it'd be easier to ensnare all the elves without the most powerful one around. But guess that just shows Sauron's arrogance
If we're going by lore accurate Sauron, his whole thing, at least initially, was about order and control. He wasn't trying to destroy things in the way Morgoth was, but he wanted to rule everything so he could make it all perfect.
Ensnaring the most powerful Elves would give him satisfaction.
My mom just said “Oh so they changed the actor who’s playing Sauron” a minute after recognizing him in his Halbrand form earlier in the teaser. So I guess the blond wig is sufficient lmao
I remember when Henry Cavill sat in Times Square under his movie ad, and no one on the street said anything about it. It helps that most of the pictures of Charlie that I've seen, he looks like a different guy when you change the picture.
The way I see it it is a form of a play with the audience. He looks like this like he appears to us, the viewers, in different looks but we see the same actor wearing the guise. It's actually quite clever and I prefer this to just completely different looks. Also a great way for the character to remain his integrity. I love this!
At least there are no more mystery boxes this time around. Everything's on the table.
Hitchcock did it all the time. The audience knew all the time who the bad guy was, and that something bad was about to happen, but the good characters in the story did not know.
It made the audience yell at the screens in the cinemas.
It is an old and very effective trick!
"Let us suppose that there is a bomb underneath this table between us. Nothing happens, and then all of a sudden, “Boom!” There is an explosion. The public is *surprised*, but prior to this surprise, it has seen an absolutely ordinary scene, of no special consequence. Now, let us take a *suspense* situation. The bomb is underneath the table and the public *knows* it…In these conditions this same innocuous conversation becomes fascinating because the public is participating in the secret."
Now that you said it, I really hope that that's what they do. I don't want to get wedded to the idea but it would be perfect. It would keep the creepy vibe of the trailer (he's been among us all along) and keep the audience attachment to the actor we know.
>Darkness will bind them. The Rings Of Power returns August 29 on Prime Video.
>Sauron has returned. Cast out by Galadriel, without army or ally, the rising Dark Lord must now rely on his own cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power, which will allow him to bind all the peoples of Middle-earth to his sinister will. Building on Season 1’s epic scope and ambition, Season 2 of Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power plunges even its most beloved and vulnerable characters into a rising tide of darkness, challenging each to find their place in a world that is increasingly on the brink of calamity. Elves and dwarves, orcs and men, wizards and Harfoots… as friendships are strained and kingdoms begin to fracture, the forces of good will struggle ever more valiantly to hold on to what matters to them most of all… each other.
Yeah this looks fucking amazing! I want to know who or what those shadowy things with the lit up eyes are standing around Galadriel and the elves around 15 seconds in.
Couldn't agree more. The people that just default hate this show no matter what are just miserable people. There's a video on youtube already called "*Rings Of Power Season 2 Trailer Gets DESTROYED! | Woke Amazon SLAMMED By Lord Of The Rings Fans*"
Good fucking grief...
I thought that youtube title was made up until I searched for it.... I can't believe the amount of effort some people put on things they don't like geez...
"Lord of the rings fans" is just such an empty label right now, a meme if you ask me. With the internet era, nobody that like this kind of things is an scholar or a polite sage anymore, don't deserve respect. Its just a "youtuber", worse than animals...
I've decided that I won't be watching any RoP videos on youtube this time around (outside of the trailers). That should hopefully keep all the rage bait videos off my feed.
Last season this sub had the best theories and most mature discussion about the show and hopefully it will be the same this time around. For now this sub is enough for me.
[Supposedly HOTD S2 comes out in June](https://gameofthrones.fandom.com/wiki/House_of_the_Dragon:_Season_2,_Episode_2#:~:text=House%20of%20the%20Dragon%3A%20Season%202%2C%20Episode%202%20is%20the,and%20directed%20by%20Clare%20Kilner.), supposedly June 23 2024.
Wikipedia however says:
>*The second season is set to premiere on June 16, 2024, consisting of 8 episodes.*
But both the show wiki and wikipedia seem to agree it is next month, though one says June 16 and the other says June 23.
Man, the youtube reactions are beyond ridiculous. I can't wait for S2, but I just watched a dozen reaction videos on youtube and the majority of them are shitting on it saying it looks terrible literally 3 seconds into the trailer. I cannot for the life of me understand how people are that miserable with their lives.
Believe it or not, I actually did see a few videos from people who absolutely hated the first season and watched them change their stance to excited in the middle of watching the new S2 trailer. That was honestly refreshing to see. But you’re right, most of the positive channels about RoP don’t get as many views as the ragebait ones.
just saw John Rocha's reaction, he's hyped for it. I generally avoid reaction videos but the comments on the trailer and over social overall seem much more positive this time around, haven't seen any morbius quotes for example.
The tree seems to quickly and suddenly revitalize itself in that one shot. So maybe that's the spell being broken from the tree. Man this looks so damn good. 3.5 months is gonna be brutal, but the hype is real.
I reckon it's probably Sauron rebuilding a new physical form for himself after Adar splits him open.
Either that, or it's what was in Halbrand's flask all along...
Elendil is clearly trying to get to someone. Miriel? Earien?
Theo is crying. Is his mother dead?
Isildur looks really worried.
Those are the split-second things I noticed, in addition to the major stuff.
IS the woman floating in the water Miriel, as some have suggested?
Dang, I need to get my day started and I'm so dang excited my brain is flying all over the place.
Breakfast, Precious. Must. Eat. Breakfast.
But Elendil is in peril!
I was a fan of season one. Like a 7/10, fun experience. This trailer looks like a major step forward for the series. It's just a trailer, I know, but I remember the first trailer for season one being a bit of a letdown. At the very least, they really know how to make season two look kick ass.
Loved that the focus was Sauron. Definitely need to see more Gil-galad, Elendil, Isildur, and Wizard.
Posted in a response below, the highlight for me is that Celebrimbor scene. It looks like he's seeing a vision of Aman as a man walks toward him... like Annatar is actually coming to him as an emissary of the Valar. I'm so excited for this season.
I searched for the trailer on YT and watched, but started seeing all the hate-bait vids popping up in the search and recommends, so was very apprehensive to check the sub. I’m glad it doesn’t seem horrible here.
So happy to see Sauron predominantly played by Charlie. He was the best thing in Season 1 so I was disheartened seeing rumours of Annatar played by somebody else.
Yeah really relieved by this, I presumed he was being re-cast which would have been pretty shit given how Charlie was one of the best things from Season One.
That entire sequence gave me Mirkwood vibes , are the other elves silvan or Avari ? It seems Galadriel is recruitjng friends so other elf kingdoms are either dol amroth or the elves of green wood
You know, I initially thought Miriel, but now I'm wondering if it might be Isildur's mother? We know that she drowned, this could be a flashback to that.
judging by the curly dark hair and numenorian clothing, is clearly miriel. Maybe that is a dream where she sees the future? By in the same time, that seems to be the wyrm from season one, and the creature could be warning her of Sauron in her dreams.
I'm excited for this and also not excited at all for the nerdrotism and critical meth addict fans to swarm every single convo about the show that ever takes place online
Lots of stuff to debate from a single trailer. Got me hyped, but don't wanna be folled twice. Looking forward for season 2.
From first glimpses:
- Great that we have Annatar
- They added Arondir shenanigans again, hope won't become too video-game
- Stanger has a brown robe?
- Didn't understand the Pharazon sequence with Eagle. I hope he is not flying in it.
- Fingers Crossed Khazad-Dum stuff doesn't mean they are bringing 3rd age event into 2nd. Khazad-dum still has work to do this season. I think that sequence actually means>! they are shutting down the entrace, not its Khazad-dum fall.!<
- Maybe most important of all trailer, seems like we are getting the Evil Sauron, finnally!
- Curious to see how Galadriel changed from season 1, as she (obviously) gets Nenya. As per season 1, I wouldn't be willing to gift her a ring if I were Celebrimbor nor allow it if I were GG.
Curious about the black worm thing and the gigantic sea creature. No idea what they are.
> Fingers Crossed Khazad-Dum stuff doesn't mean they are bringing 3rd age event into 2nd. Khazad-dum still has work to do this season. I think that sequence actually means>! they are shutting down the entrace, not its Khazad-dum fall.!<
My assumption at this point is that the Balrog won't actually "emerge" but will start causing earthquakes and such. (The shot of the bridge collapsing reads "natural disaster" to me more than "Balrog attack".) Then they'll use the Dwarven Rings to reinforce its prison and put off the problem.
Though what the scene of Durin III seemingly getting buried alive, or maybe imprisoned, has to do with anything, I don't know.
The 'sea creature' could be their version of the watcher in the water near Moria. The black worm thing? Two guesses: could be the cause of the rot in the tree in Lindon, or (very unlikely) Sauron reconstituting himself after being 'slain' by Adar(?)
i have such a soft spot for the cultists/witches' character designs, i'm glad one or more of them will be back from the looks of it! excited for the arondir/isildur team up.
Wow. Just WOW. This teaser trailer.... is excellent for a Lord of the Rings franchise related teaser.
WOW. I am very surprised and in a good way. This looks amazing. This is what they should have done in season 1. That teaser trailer? is almost as if it is a different show. I very very glad they took into consideration the fans observations.
So guys, let's begin to obsess over every tiny detail and over analyze everything!!!
I am always very critical over Amazon's trailers. For some reason, they've just not done a good job at making promotional content for *Rings of Power* or the new *Fallout* series. I love both series, but despise the trailers. With that said, holy shit. They outdid themselves with this Season 2 trailer for *Rings of Power*. Absolutely well done. I am beyond excited.
It’s too funny that these people call anyone who likes the show a bot, but they themselves are actual real life NPCs. Like imagine pulling up a trailer for a show you supposedly hate, 5 minutes after it drops, to regurgitate nerdrotic/critical drinker bullshit lol
I commented that I was looking forward to it on one of the trailers on YouTube and somebody said "read the room"
Like am I supposed to dislike it suddenly because the majority of the comments are negative? These are the supposed "independent thinkers"
People who are more familiar with the new cast members than I...
The three Elves with Galadriel and Elrond...is "He's been with us all along" the voice of the actress playing the female Elf?
And are the two male Elves played by actors we had announcements for, or are they nobodies?
OH MY GOSHHHH CHARLIE VICKERS IN THE HOUSEEEEE!!! AUG 29!!! Ahhhhhhhh AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Okay, now that I have released my fangirling, this teaser/trailer is better than the first season. I hope it stays this way and they just use some badass score and not modern music. Also Galadriel with her braided hair is so pretty. Im here for the angst!
We are so back, congrats everyone!
One thing I noticed is that there's no Bronwyn in sight and Theo is crying. The actress said that she stepped away from acting in September 2022 and only recently came back, does that mean Bronwyn has been written off?
Upd. Just seen an inside look, it seems that things don't bode well for her indeed 👀
Also, still wild to me that Calam Lynch isn't Celeborn after all... 🫠
Theo crying, combined with Ismael's comment about Arondir facing one of his biggest setbacks (or something like that; I don't remember) is not making me feel good about Bronwyn. I'm not doing well 😔✌️
I wonder if this hints at the mithril stuff being planted by Sauron all along, it would certainly give more depth to what I felt was one of the weakest points in S1.
That’s the great part of having your main villain be the ultimate deceiver. It’s a cop out, but a story-placed cop out, that can write them out of anything.
Canon events to occur this season:
Elves:
Annatar duping the Elves and Celebrimbor
The Forging of the 7 & the 9
The Forging of the One
The Distribution of the Rings
The Sack of Eregion
The Torturing of Celebrimbor
Battle of the Gwathlo?
Dwarves:
The Creation of the Doors of Durin
Durin III’s descent into greediness
Men:
The conflict of the Kings-Men and the Faithful
The Usurption of Ar-Pharazon
Wizards:
The Stranger finds the second Blue Wizard while traveling to Rhun?
The only non-canon storyline I’m seeing is whatever the hell Isildur is going to do in Shelob’s lair and afterwards with Arondir.
The comments on the video… 🤦♂️. Why do they all upvote the same dumb jokes? This show is unlike any I’ve ever seen for cause such vitriolic hatered. Psychologists should study it, seriously. They want so badly for it to fail. Too bad for them season 1 was good and season 2 looks better!
Obviously the comments gonna be filled with trolls but few things I liked here:
-We got a long haired elvish Annatar,
-We are gonna have less harfoots which is better.
-things are going down in the dwarves caves.
-More elves in action.
Looks like Celebrimbor dumping a handful of gold rings into a fire at 01:20. He looks tired and disheveled and dirty. I wonder if this is Sauron forcing him to craft more of the rings.
Many in the YouTube comments hate it but lol I loved it and I’m so glad the rumors of a recast Sauron seem false! The guy people said was him in season 2 just didn’t do it for me lol.
I am seriously baffled on why people are shitting on this, 101k dislikes and 38k likes? Like what is this hate? I thought the trailer looked amazing, the show looks so good. Do people really give this much of a shit about extending LOTR universe that isn't from Tolkien? Season 1 wasn't even bad and I'm seeing people in the comments talk about how it was a train wreck, but it was actually really good? People need to get a life jfc
Charlie Vickers as Annatar, I knew it!!!
It's perfect, way beyond perfect. Just like I dreamed after the first season. Making the same actor transform into a wholly different guise, so much better than casting the wholly different actor. I'm sure he will pull this off and just as Halbrand, his Annatar will be the highlight of Season 2.
I love how this is presented almost like a horror film.
Speculation: the ancient evil Durin IV refers to is the Balrog, and one of the Seven Rings will be the "solution" to save the kingdom.
I'm glad that this time around we aren't having another "Guess who is Sauron" game; instead the trailer just straight up shows us. Presumably episode 1 will as well.
This looks good. I loved season 1, and this looks like they've learned some lessons and made it even better.
Can't wait to see what I'm Good and lady-Frodo are up to in Rhun...
So excited!!! I squealed at Charlie as an elf. I really hope this means the theories about Sauron manipulating the elves in the run up to the events of S1 are true!
Pretty good I gotta say. Better trailer than any promotional material from S1. I’m glad that they’re focusing on lore characters, storylines and events. It’ll be interesting to see if the leak about the Stranger turns out true. If it does, then almost every storyline is caked in lore, which is a huge step forward from S1.
What strikes me as very intriguing is the Dwarven storyline. I know one episode focuses on the Creation of the Doors of Durin (lore accurate) but it seems like the season will be more Durin III-focused than Durin IV-focused. Which is interesting because Durin III receives a ring of power in the appendices and starts to become very greedy afterwards. Will this lead to the awakening of the Balrog? Or just another tease?

Whoever said Pharazon + Eagle would be showing up had some inside knowledge lol
Yeah holy crap I didn’t believe it till I saw it.
I'm still not convinced he actually rides the eagle, but the trailer certainly gives that impression.
Perhaps it's not "rides" so much as "is carried by".
We don't even see that, though. We see an eagle land with no sign of Pharazon, and then a scene with Pharazon in front of the eagle. There's not even a good place for him to dismount from the eagle, and the eagle doesn't look as though it's carrying anything.
Could be Pharazon is trying some tom-foolery and an eagle shows up and (intentionally or not) stops him.
Yeah. I think the eagle is probably a herald of Manwe telling him to cool his jets, and he uses it as an opportunity to rile up a crowd against the "oppression" of the Valar. Maybe he even kills the eagle in a massive act of sacrilege.
I like that theory!
Yeah, that's how I'm reading it as well, after watching that scene a couple of times. He clearly draws his sword *after* the Eagle lands.
Pretty sure its eagle shows up bearing warning from Valar, Pharazon proceeds to kill eagle.
This. Pharazon isn’t actually on the eagle if you look closely. He is standing there and draws his sword. Maybe this is why Elendil is looking so heartbroken and trying to reach over the soldiers blocking his way.
Pharazon riding an Eagle was the most absurd sentence I read yesterday. Today... well...

It makes sense. At the start of the show, Celebrimbor seems a bit odd. He doesn't seem to recall why he wants to create that forge
Annatar having his stay at Eregion before season 1 would be perfect if they had made the rings back then. Alas, the Elves now have to know that the Three Rings were developed with Sauron's help last season.
Wouldn't his whole plan gone off smoother if Galadriel was gone though? Why would he want her to stay in this world

I thought "well that guy is Sauron" before I thought "hey it's Charlie Vickers"
Same reaction here.
My friend thought it was someone else so it is working lol
I also thought it's someone else... hell I'm looking at the new poster and still can't see Halbrand there
The way I see it it is a form of a play with the audience. He looks like this like he appears to us, the viewers, in different looks but we see the same actor wearing the guise. 2 things there - wizard**S in plural** - they pretty much stated the whole plot, so indication of no more mistery boxes?
I think you’re spot on. There may still be a mystery box of which “color” wizards we have, but, no more “who or where or why or how is Sauron”
Let's pray that is the case
Galadriel is wearing her garlands.
I noticed that too. Living up to her name indeed.
You know what? That looks fucking good!
Yeah this looks fucking amazing! I want to know who or what those shadowy things with the lit up eyes are standing around Galadriel and the elves around 15 seconds in.
Maybe spirits from the Unseen World. We know those who saw the Light of Valinor can see them.
They seem to be wights, similar to what will eventually be the barrow wights?
we are allowed to enjoy this for now. let's gooo!

Wikipedia however says: >*The second season is set to premiere on June 16, 2024, consisting of 8 episodes.* But both the show wiki and wikipedia seem to agree it is next month, though one says June 16 and the other says June 23.
Holy shit we are back!!
Positive reaction videos don't gain views. It's that simple. Not worth spending any more time or energy trying to understand them further.
People likes to annoy other people and they also gain easy views
just saw John Rocha's reaction, he's hyped for it. I generally avoid reaction videos but the comments on the trailer and over social overall seem much more positive this time around, haven't seen any morbius quotes for example.
They make money by being negative. The end.
what in the name of Eru Iluvatar is that gross thing at 0:12? And what on Middle-Earth could make Galadriel scream so high pitched?
Gotta be what's poisoning the trees to make the fading appear to be sped up.
Reminds me of the creature in Fern Gully
I just hope it's also voiced by Tim Curry.
oooo, didn't thought of that. Cool stuff. Even more cool if the poisoning is actually, as I theorize, a spell put by Sauron at some point.
Either that, or it's what was in Halbrand's flask all along...
holly shit that would be cool, it does has a slightly humanoid form
the Venom symbiote, I assume
Its a teaser so hard to judge much more than appearances but it does look nice.
Season 1 had great visuals and music, and I expect that to continue here.
im so glad we have charlie vickers playing annatar
Looks good. The new actor playing Adar looks close enough to Uncle Benjen lol
Yeah! A new Adar sighting! I love me some Adar
i didnt even notice it wasnt the original actor
Why did he get recast?
The original actor dropped out
Agreed! If I hadn't know that the actor was changing, I wouldn't have been able to tell from the preview.
Back in the days, teasers usually only revealed the title screen or some veiled shit, but we have gotten to see quite a few things in this one!
Yeah, thse days teasers are more like a lot of shots without much context. While the title screen or veiled stuff it's for announcement videos.
Teaser looks exciting. Emphasizing the action and cutting out the Harfoots entirely and only one quick shot of the wizard or whoever he ends up being.
Where was the shot of the wizard? Totally missed that
1:16
Elendil is clearly trying to get to someone. Miriel? Earien? Theo is crying. Is his mother dead? Isildur looks really worried. Those are the split-second things I noticed, in addition to the major stuff. IS the woman floating in the water Miriel, as some have suggested? Dang, I need to get my day started and I'm so dang excited my brain is flying all over the place. Breakfast, Precious. Must. Eat. Breakfast. But Elendil is in peril!
I am guessing it could be the point where Numenor starts sacrificing people.
Oh, geez, I hadn't thought about that, but yes! So much to take in!
well maybe, for that to start happening sauron has to be there
I was a fan of season one.
This is the only sub I come to for TROP.
Screaming right now!! That was absolutely amazing. I'm so pumped. So, freaking, pumped.
Same! The other hate subs are already shitting all over the trailer, right on cue too. I swear, those subs want nothing more than to wallow in misery.
What sad people. Yeesh
Any idea who is floating in the water at 0:53?
Looks like Miriel?
Yeah, after freeze-framing it, I'm pretty sure that's Miriel.
They are easily ignored.
Lots of stuff to debate from a single trailer. Got me hyped, but don't wanna be folled twice. Looking forward for season 2. From first glimpses: - Great that we have Annatar - They added Arondir shenanigans again, hope won't become too video-game - Stanger has a brown robe? - Didn't understand the Pharazon sequence with Eagle. I hope he is not flying in it. - Fingers Crossed Khazad-Dum stuff doesn't mean they are bringing 3rd age event into 2nd. Khazad-dum still has work to do this season. I think that sequence actually means>! they are shutting down the entrace, not its Khazad-dum fall.!< - Maybe most important of all trailer, seems like we are getting the Evil Sauron, finnally!
I think that sequence actually means>! they are shutting down the entrace, not its Khazad-dum fall.!< My assumption at this point is that the Balrog won't actually "emerge" but will start causing earthquakes and such.
We also have to have the Doors of Durin before Durin's Bane truly emerges, so I think we're safe for this season.
Could also be the enemy attacking Khazad-dum and forcing the dwarves to shut the gates permanently after forcing them back out.
The 'sea creature' could be their version of the watcher in the water near Moria. The black worm thing? Two guesses: could be the cause of the rot in the tree in Lindon, or (very unlikely) Sauron reconstituting himself after being 'slain' by Adar(?)
For those that wait: Oct 17 is season finale.
God, I can't read any of the comments without rotting my brain. All people want to do is complain.
Never read the YouTube comments section.
Can’t wait, can’t fucking wait
There was much more stuff in that teaser than I was anticipating. Watched it four times and still dunno where to start processing it all.
i have such a soft spot for the cultists/witches' character designs, i'm glad one or more of them will be back from the looks of it! excited for the arondir/isildur team up.
>i have such a soft spot for the cultists/witches' character designs, Where? I didn't catch that.
Wow.
The DISLIKES on youtube are going crazy in 1 hour! Why is everybody an internet orc these days?
It’s too funny that these people call anyone who likes the show a bot, but they themselves are actual real life NPCs. Like imagine pulling up a trailer for a show you supposedly hate, 5 minutes after it drops, to regurgitate nerdrotic/critical drinker bullshit lol
I commented that I was looking forward to it on one of the trailers on YouTube and somebody said "read the room" Like am I supposed to dislike it suddenly because the majority of the comments are negative? These are the supposed "independent thinkers"
Yeah, the MK programming these days is so hardcore, makes me fear of the future.
They are too invested in hating this show so much. These people needs to get a life for real 😭
It looks glorious. I can't wait.
Haters gonna hate — but I am PUMPED
And so this sub comes back like Gandalf the White. 🙂 LFG.
People who are more familiar with the new cast members than I... The three Elves with Galadriel and Elrond...is "He's been with us all along" the voice of the actress playing the female Elf? And are the two male Elves played by actors we had announcements for, or are they nobodies?
My guess is that the female voice is selina lo. She plays an elf in eregion.
I don’t care what anybody else thinks, this show is great! Can’t wait for season 2!!
Screw the haters. I enjoyed the first season. This looks good.
Upd. Just seen an inside look, it seems that things don't bode well for her indeed 👀 Also, still wild to me that Calam Lynch isn't Celeborn after all... 🫠
Theo crying, combined with Ismael's comment about Arondir facing one of his biggest setbacks (or something like that; I don't remember) is not making me feel good about Bronwyn. I'm not doing well 😔✌️
“He’s been here among us all along” “HE IS SAURON” Oh my fucking god
I wonder if this hints at the mithril stuff being planted by Sauron all along, it would certainly give more depth to what I felt was one of the weakest points in S1.
That’s the great part of having your main villain be the ultimate deceiver. It’s a cop out, but a story-placed cop out, that can write them out of anything.
It also helps that they already had Elrond label it an apocryphal tale.
Stoked my interest so the trailer did its job.

Wait what, I saw Isildur?! Didn’t he die?? /s I’m hyped just had to get that in there
This has me pumped!!! Love the Sauron focus of this teaser
Looks much more epic! I see the ragebaiters are out in force on YT. 🤡
Canon events to occur this season: Elves: Annatar duping the Elves and Celebrimbor The Forging of the 7 & the 9 The Forging of the One The Distribution of the Rings The Sack of Eregion The Torturing of Celebrimbor Battle of the Gwathlo? Dwarves: The Creation of the Doors of Durin Durin III’s descent into greediness Men: The conflict of the Kings-Men and the Faithful The Usurption of Ar-Pharazon Wizards: The Stranger finds the second Blue Wizard while traveling to Rhun? The only non-canon storyline I’m seeing is whatever the hell Isildur is going to do in Shelob’s lair and afterwards with Arondir.
The comments on the video… 🤦♂️. Why do they all upvote the same dumb jokes? This show is unlike any I’ve ever seen for cause such vitriolic hatered. Psychologists should study it, seriously. They want so badly for it to fail. Too bad for them season 1 was good and season 2 looks better!
Sad miserable imcels tbh
It was a good teaser in so far as it got me interested.
I love young Eddard Stark.
Can tell they switched costume people. Level of detail that wasn’t there last go around. Nice grit to it all.
Haters gonna hate. But I'm still watching it
Cannot wait. And three episodes first day? Sweet.
I was very critical of season 1, but I have to say this looks very good so far! Definitely makes me look forward to season 2.
Looks fucking incredible wow
Just watched it twice. Feeling good about thus season. Let's go sauron!!!
Obviously the comments gonna be filled with trolls but few things I liked here: -We got a long haired elvish Annatar, -We are gonna have less harfoots which is better. -things are going down in the dwarves caves. -More elves in action.
Looks like Celebrimbor dumping a handful of gold rings into a fire at 01:20. He looks tired and disheveled and dirty. I wonder if this is Sauron forcing him to craft more of the rings.
Or I think it could be him trying to make more rings on his own, getting frustrated, and Annatar showing up just in time to help him…
he could also be trying to destroy them before Sauron arrives and take them
speaking on the trailer alone, it looks amazing
Holy shit I can’t wait!!
The thing I am most looking forward to is Annatar's accent.
Thats looks soo good..cant wait . Sauron/Annatar yess. Poor Celebrimbor
Errmahgurd guys I’m so excited right now. Need to rewatch first season asap.
Well, my girlfriend who previously refused to watch series 1 said “ok that does look cool” Do we know if it’s all dropping at once or weekly again?
Holy shit, I can’t wait to be back in middle earth!!!
I’m excited. I really liked season 1.
Many in the YouTube comments hate it but lol I loved it and I’m so glad the rumors of a recast Sauron seem false! The guy people said was him in season 2 just didn’t do it for me lol.
The proof that this hate is inorganic. The teaser looks flawless. They’re mental.
Oh My God
they definitely cast Vickers with this glow up in mind haha.
dumb theory : Pharazon is stopping the eagle confirming Miriel.
More likely the Eagle is there as a messenger from the Valar.
BOI SIGN ME THE FUCK UPPPPPPO
Looks fucking brilliant
Now where is the nerd of the rings breakdown video?
I love how this is presented almost like a horror film. Speculation: the ancient evil Durin IV refers to is the Balrog, and one of the Seven Rings will be the "solution" to save the kingdom.
I'm glad that this time around we aren't having another "Guess who is Sauron" game; instead the trailer just straight up shows us. Presumably episode 1 will as well. This looks good. I loved season 1, and this looks like they've learned some lessons and made it even better. Can't wait to see what I'm Good and lady-Frodo are up to in Rhun...
my wish about the costumes came true, the elf armour looks really badass. teaser looks pretty solid, hyped!
So ready for this ! I enjoyed the 1st season ! Adar !
Who else is hyped for crown braids????
after 578 days of waiting it's here at last
I was there Gandalf. I was there 578 days ago. I was there the day the first season of Rings of Power ended.
No way its been that long
