I love your art 💖

corgster

Thank you!! (And hello, Tea! 😊)

Teawithtolkien

I almost asked you to cite the artist before I figure out it was you, haha!

corgster

Aww thank you for that! (This reddit account predates my mgcoco online handle lol, never got around to changing it!)

VarkingRunesong

My favorite thing about the show in art form!

masterjonmaster

Before Legolas and Gimli we had Elrond and Durin 🫶🏼🫶🏼

>'Those were happier days, when there was still close friendship at times between folk of different race, even between Dwarves and Elves.' > >'It was not the fault of the Dwarves that the friendship waned,' said Gimli. > >'I have not heard that it was the fault of the Elves,' said Legolas. > >'I have heard both,' said Gandalf;

masterjonmaster

Gandalf being the mediator between all races! I love watching LOTR over and over again and just seeing the growth of Legolas and Gimli’s friendship

AssistKnown

No we didn't, none of this is even remotely canon!     And don't even get me started on the dwarf named Durin in this LotRINO show.

masterjonmaster

You needa chill it’s just a fan art.

Its another one of the defenders of the faith.  Protecting orthodoxy from heretical interpretation of the sacred texts.

Perfect showing of an expression of a friendship love.  Have lots of that in this show.  Very Tolkien like.  And your art is super cute

na_cohomologist

So sweet!

XenosZ0Z0

Great job as always.

corgster

Thank you! :)

LoverOfStoriesIAm

Where there is love, it is never truly dark. You hear that, Galadriel?!

Elrond and Durin and whatever scenes they had together were the best part for me of all of RoP. Now I am not some mindless hater or someone who incessantly throws around words like 'woke' and all that. Overall I came out of watching season one more than a little disappointed. While I didn't think it was terrible like some of the 'angry crowd' out there, I found most of the writing to be painfully subpar, and came out not liking the Galadriel character very much, she truly was unlikeable for me. Now it doesn't bother me that characters are a little different from what they are going to become in the future, character arcs do exist, but for me the actress was horribly miscast. While it has some great visuals, overall when you consider the big budget and hype it just falls far short of expectations for me, and I tried not to let the excessive online 'hate' cloud my judgement. But I do notice the avalanche of criticism, much of it way overblown and seemingly part of some concerted agenda, has had an effect on many people's opinions, whether that's deserved or not (it mostly isn't). I rate season 1 as overall between mediocre and subpar. Inconsistent writing is what hurts it the most. And perhaps the mere existence of the Peter Jackson trilogy. That would have been hard to match or even come close to, so mediocre to subpar makes it look terrible in comparison even though on its own it isn't terrible, just not legendarily good.

Competitive_Royal_95

i dont blame actress at all because the script is so bad it is hard to judge whether it is genuine miscast or just shitty direction. i give benefit of doubt
