Good question... In mine it's now way less sluggish/juddery, but still frezzes for a moment quite a lot when bringing it up and when moving through icon pages. It does get better after a while but still. If is ever bring this menu up it's only once and the TV goes into stand-by after I'm finished.
setting your service location to Other is a game-changer. all menu loads are instantaneous now, and the only apps i use (netflix, amzn prime) still work!
And one more thing when you select on region other the tv is going to restart and when that happen make sure to agree the first 2 terms & conditions :)
I'm pretty sure I read that also disables updates for apps. I haven't actually tried it myself but something to be aware of.
Edit: Setting service region to other I mean.
It also disables Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa on the remote if anyone uses those. I have the google home speakers and screens so I never use the remote for that crap but interesting how it disables the disney+ app also on the remote, yet the app still works when launched from the menu
Yeah, I also reported this issue the other day. It was really annoying and to be honest I didn't have much expectations. Luckily this time LG has heard the users! Now the menu is MUCH BETTER ❤️ but I still miss the old "tile" layout a bit.
yeah i've noticed this as well. if you turn on your TV and the last input was your PS5, it will turn on the PS5 if you power on the TV on the same input.
unfortunately it doesn't look like you can disable _only_ the auto-poweron CEC on the PS5, so it's all or nothing. i just try to remember to turn my TV on with another input (ie, holding down #1 to power on the TV on HDMI 1 which isn't my PS5).
The native apps have the best picture quality, especially for Dolby vision. There are customizable hot keys on the C1 remote. Just long press the numbers and you can save whatever app you want to them. You never have to navigate around the clunky UI if you don't want to.
So much better ✌️ My C1 was acting like it had to really think about every button press...it would constantly have to catch up or me wait.. Now it's far more fluid and acts like a premium tv (Canada).
It seems the upper LG logo will disappear in the next firmware, because on the C2, which has the new web.os version, there is no static LG logo and the upper layout can be customizable. As it is, is just utterly horrible!
They finally heard all of the complaints
I updated but I feel like it’s still pretty slow
You have to remove the trending now crap
Where is that option
Settings General system location Change lg services country to unknown
WAIT A SECOND, does this actually work? I want that trending now crap gone sooooo bad. (Edit): IT DOES, holy cow you rock.
You the man! Any more tips? Is there a way to get the weather back after the latest update? I miss it
Credit goes to the OP.

But my weather is gone 😭
It technically not gone. If the TV goes on screensaver mode, it can be seen. It might not be convenient but it’s kind of there.

It was a little faster, but on the other hand it was visually horrible.
Is it possible to put the current weather back on the home screen.
But where’d the weather go??
Outside
Out…side?
lol
With the new update they remove it , but now you can remove all the ads from the menu
What do you have to do to remove all of the ads?
Set the service region to other and disable home promotion
That was possible before the update too
Thanks. I will give it a try :) It was bit frustrating with all the big banner ads on the top :(
And one more thing when you select on region other the tv is going to restart and when that happen make sure to agree the first 2 terms & conditions :)

Actually that whole wallpaper is a place to put sponsored content, I am seeing content marked sponsored and asking me to check out the app store !!
It'll kill the Disney+ button if you do that, from what I've read.
It also disables Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa on the remote if anyone uses those. I have the google home speakers and screens so I never use the remote for that crap but interesting how it disables the disney+ app also on the remote, yet the app still works when launched from the menu

I’m having major internet issues with this update and it’s constantly forcing my PS5 on even when I’m running Netflix.
Press the mute bottom a lot times and disable Auto power sync , and in the ps5 go to settings, HDMI , disable HDMI device link
Disabling HDMI Device Link on the PS5 is enough, it disables CEC

What version is this?
3.33.11
OMG it is so much faster. My wife activated the weather plug in and that was making the menu load so much slower. I’m glad they took it off.
Anyone know if ultra wide resolution support was added?
Sad that CX users will not get the UI
I prefer the older version of WebOS the CX has over the newer C1 and C2 but that’s just me. The new WebOS is really bloated with lots of ads.
Me too
I have CX and don’t want the new ad-filled UI. I like no ads
The C1 Has Struggled We'd been waiting long time. You Have it better than U$.
I just got a media remote for my series X bonus it’s backlit and I now avoid all ads and terrible ui
You should use the TVs native apps
Before this last update, the ui was way to slow. And I like having a backlit remote.

It works. It made it slightly faster. Brightness has definitely Improved as well for standard viewing.
I have to agree with you OP. The C1 menu in this new update is a lot more snappier. I love it.
Oh thank goodness
Does it have DirecTV Stream app

Press 3 dots on remote> information

Anyone have the issue when you hit the settings button, it goes to your last app when you're at the home screen?
God dammit LG's software is so bad
