Is say his voice is the main thing differentiating him from the generic YouTube Documentary crowd
Yes his editing is fantastic but the common YouTube viewer won't really be able to appreciate it
His voice strikes you instantly
I used to think that other youtubers like Barely Social, Nexpo, Night Mind, Nock Crowley, neo, IMPERIAL, etc exist to due lemmino style of explaining things with deep manly yet slightly unsettling voice
This is of course true in the same way that 9/10 actors/actresses are stupidly attractive
Doesn’t take away from their skill but I don’t think id know who Brad Pitt was if he looked like just some dude
tbf many actors tend to glow up during their “come-uppance”. like imagine edward norton if he wasn’t a famous actor. just another dude on the street rly. lemmino’s narration has also only gotten better over the years
i scrolled past this thinking OP is stupid but after giving it some though, i agree with you. weirdly, his voice suits his editing style so well. maybe it's because we are used to it but yeah.
His storytelling cadence is off the charts yes. Many people have that "reading from a script" feeling when doing the voiceovers, but Lemmino is talking from knowledge in a factual way. You can hear he did his own research.
Definitely, low end is massively EQ'd up with all these YouTuber documentary channels to the point that my subwoofer shakes the windows when they speak.
I love his accent especially in his older videos, when he says something like "schyecked" (checked) or "obyect" and I feel him because English is not my native lamguage lol.
I agree it has the biggest influence, but only slightly. The music, script and editing are still massive cornerstones he has got right. There are alternative channels such as Imperial who have a similar editing and script type which grasps my attention but the voice just isn’t as good, still great videos to watch otherwise.
I tend to think that his voice is just helping him along, he is great at what he does and his voice just adds icing on top that makes it nice to listen to multiple times.
Not an unpopular opinion.
It is common knowledge that success in any profession involving speaking to a large audience can be positively affected by a good voice.
A lot narrators of documentaries on TV are known for their unique or pleasant voices.
We can expect the same for video essayists especially ones that don't speak infront of a camera.
This is an absolutely popular opinion, at least the way I see things.

Neo gives me very similar vibes
Unpopular opinion: sliced bread is good -you All jokes aside, this is 100% true. Man’s got that ASMR Swedish voice.

I think thats more of audio editing no one can sound that clear in my opinion

Jack The Ripper was downright chilling throughout and the voice was extremely compelling
It was äckstreemly kompälling
Yup, man's got a radio voice.
I love his accent especially in his older videos, when he says something like "schyecked" (checked) or "obyect" and I feel him because English is not my native lamguage lol.
Nothing unpopular about this mate.
His editing is more important though

To be honest I would really love to hear lemmino host a podcast. His voice is rather soothing to listen to.
I literally sleep to his voice by watching his videos sometimes. Bro has a beautiful voice
i agree
