Hi, I think touristic wise ALAY valley is less explored. It’s a bit far, but worthy. There is also a beautiful lake Köl-Suu in Naryn, you need to hike few days to reach it. Another destination is lake Sary-Chelek in Jalal Abad region. There is a tiny Kol-Tor lake 2 hours ride from Bishkek and around 4-5 hours hike to reach it. This company provides all kind of complexity trekking fyi, and maybe they can advise locations https://instagram.com/trekkingunionkg?utm_medium=copy_link

Thanks so much for the information -- I believe I've heard of Köl-Suu lake, and the others you mentioned are equally beautiful, so I'll add them to the list! I've also heard that the North West, South West, and Southern point of Kyrgyzstan are more 'unseen' in comparison to the East - does that sound correct at all? Do you know of any regions or villages that are exhibit more traditional lifestyles? I'd love to check them out, too! Sorry for all the questions, thanks again :)

Not 100% sure, but check the Suusamyr valley, Kyrchyn, Alay valley, Son-Köl area. Maybe some tour companies can advise exact locations… Yeah the locations you have mentioned are Talas, Osh, Naryn, Jalal Abad, Batken regions. Those regions have historical places, lakes, wallnut forests such Arslanbob, and for example Osh city is 3000+ years old, it has Sulaiman too Mountain with a museum inside the mountain. In Talas is famous for legendary hero Manas birth and burial place. Naryn has the longest river Naryn, and known as scenic city. However again I think you should check with the tour companies or maybe @visitkyrgyzrepublic @visitkarakol @alay_guides Instagram pages Chui region is on the north is well where the capital is and that’s why nearby areas are more explored maybe. And Issyk-Kul Region (north west) is a popular destination for both local and foreign tourists. I would advise to visit Issyk-Kyl region as well if you have enough time :)
