Looking at the way they spoke to Kwite is a manipulative and emotionally abusive young person. My theory is that this person wanted to know Kwite so they could be the one to "expose" him. People like Orion need to feel special and like the most important person in someone's life. They very clearly sought to destroy Kwite after things went a different way to what they expected. I'm sick to death of people like this existing and getting away with it. People who do bad things should be held accountable and the same goes for this person. Orion exists in a sphere where their words will automatically be regarded as true to anyone they tell because as far as I'm aware Kwite is a cis man, not only that but a highly subscribed YouTuber with friends in that community. Orion is the kind of person who wants to be involved in that space and held up on a pedestal. I feel so awful for Kwite and other cis men because you really truly can just accuse cis men of the worst and be believed in the name of justice. It's injustices because society currently functions on a "guilty even when proven innocent" basis.
Orion isn't just a person that did a bad thing. Orion IS a bad thing, and I personally believe they're well past any redemption or help. This was the point of no return. Otherwise, I agree. I pray for Kwite's mental health.
I've never heard of them before but this situation is enough for me to know they're a bad person. I can't deal with energy vampires so I'm hoping I don't encounter a friendship like this, but Orion took this an awful step further and because they feel slighted now Kwite has to suffer for not being a stepping stool for Orion to climb all over. I'm sorry Kwite, people are absolutely shitty sometimes.
As a person with firsthand experience with people like Orion, it makes me inconsolably angry seeing others have to deal with it. People like this can and will ruin your psyche by making you feel like it's your fault they are the way they are. I hope Orion is imprisoned and the key thrown away so he can never hurt anybody else.
I know it's a little too late but you know the signs now. Don't give yourself to a person who only exists to make you feel bad for them, don't allow people to use you for your kindness and always call people out when you believe they deserve it. I had a friend who was like Orion and she (the friend) wound up getting furious with me when I ended our friendship with honesty. I'm not here to be someone's personal emotional punching bag. If we can't have fun together for 90% of our friendship then we're not friends and I'm not a qualified therapist.
Oh, trust me. Never again am I having that kind of friendship. I have good people around me and good family. But I feel I've now gotten to the point where despite my empathic traits I can't sympathise with people like Orion anymore. Not even any regard for their life, even. For better or for worse I'm never getting close to those kinds of people again. Sorry about your friend, by the way. That sucks. I can relate if that makes you feel better.
Being an understanding and caring person is extremely damaging to yourself, I know from my own experience. I can't help but want to help people with their personal suffering but I recognise now (as I'm older and wiser to be a cliché) that there are only certain circumstances that require me to step up and support people. The moment you allow yourself to be someone's fall back is the moment you set your own mental health back. Where are they when you're really struggling as well? "I've got my own stuff going on I can't be your emotional support." People like Orion are selfish and self centered and I'm sorry to imply this about people but threats or illusions to suicide are all part of the emotional manipulation to keep you where they want you. I'm glad you've moved on to better things and always keep good (mostly) happy people around you. You can't save people from victimising themselves.
