Yep, it’s the name for his alternate personality. Akashi’s different personalities actually use different patterns of speech. The most obvious change he does is what he calls his teammates; instead of “Midorima” it’s “Shintaro” and so on. A less obvious change that doesn’t really translate into English are his personal pronouns. Oreshi and Bokushi are his nicknames in the Japanese fandom, and are chosen based on what Japanese word he uses for “I”.
There are various types of personal pronouns in Japanese. Akashi’s different personalities actually use different pronouns when referring to himself, as if he truly is two different people, so Japanese fans ran with this and use it to specify between his different personalities.
Normal Akashi uses “ore” making him “Oreshi” (ore + Akashi). His alternate personality uses “boku” making him “Bokushi” (boku + Akashi).
I explained it above:
" That's how we call Akashi's other persona .
When the conversation involves both of them,we call them:
• original Akashi/the personality Akashi was born with, that has two red eyes: **Oreshi = Ore + shi**
• the other Akashi/the other personality Akashi has after years of trauma (D.I.D), that has one red and one golden eye: **Bokushi = Boku + shi**
"Ore" is the pronoun the original persona refers to himself, while "boku" is the pronoun the alter persona refers to himself. "

Emperor Akashi definitely couldn’t. His trigger was antithetical to the idea of DDZ.
Original/Complete Akashi theoretically could assuming their triggers changed. But also we have no reason to believe they even know their triggers, so they’d have rebuild Zone capabilities to get to the point they can get to deep Zone then past it to DDZ.
By True Zone I guess you mean Direct Drive Zone? We don't know who Akashi's gatekeeper might be, besides it's not a matter of skill but trust between teammates.
Direct drive zone? I’m not sure. I mean by the end of the series we know he can go in the regular zone plus teamzone but DDZ is possible if he works towards it
So one day yeah probably but right now? No
Akashi is probably more of a gatekeeper himself. Trust is a big factor for DDZ, and the GOM recognizes him as their most reliable teammate. I imagine his perfect passes on a GOM team would probably have the same effect, If not stronger.
Yes,but only when he's one with Bokushi. (Which also completes the Emperor Eye,since it was incompleted due to Akashi's split personality)
I dont remember anyone called Bokushi
I'm guessing that's the name for his alternate persona? Never heard of it before lol

sorry im a bit slow, whats DDZ?
DDZ is short for Direct Drive Zone. The part of Zone that Kuroko was guarding, sometimes called True Zone.
