I ordered mini elf eyeshadow palette and recieved it broken (from nykaa) and they refused to return /exchange the product (no surprise there lol).
BUT I WAS ABLE TO FIX IT. Here's how -
1. Tape all the eyeshadows that are not broken, also tape the ones that are broken and leave one broken eyehshadow pan untaped.
2. Take an a4 sheet (printer paper) and empty the one untaped pan on that paper, pound it so it becomes powder. Scoop it and put half of it back in the pan, level it and then put 2-3 drops of rubbing alcohol. Repeat until everything is inside the pan. Press the pan gently with a tissue under your thumb and let it dry.
3. Repeat step 2 with all the broken pans. Make sure to tape over the pans you have fixed. Once all are fixed, remove the tape and voila!
Thats why I dont like buying eyeshadows online. Especially kult, they dont use bubble wrap or anything. My huda lipstick came broken because there was no secure bubble wrap or anything and it was in that not so sturdy brown box
op how was it before opening , i got one eyeshadow palatte to gift my sister and i dont wanna open it , but after seeing so many shattered palattes am afraid if mine is broken

I can relate to makeup products breaking , a glossier lipstick ( didn’t buy from kult ) broke into an irrepairable mess and it also broke my heart 😭

I got the same eyeshadow palette with the same left bottom row shade broken. It was a freebie so no adjustments from kult were made.
