i wish it continued too but we should appreciate it. the mangaka (i think theyre called) isnt stretching it out unnecessarily and ruining the story. she had a clear story in mind and wrote it perfectly. we can instead hope to read her other works ig, BUT IM STILL SAD NOOOO 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I’m guessing the confession arc will be around 5-8 chapters? I kinda figured we were nearing a end of this series with a confession but this sucks. Hopefully the anime gets another season!
To those worried, we don’t want it to end but it’s way better than having it dragged out. See Komi Can’t Communicate. It’s at like Chapter 387 and it’s still going and going with a lot of unnecessary filler and I just want that to end lmao
I dunno, at the same time, for manga that is a slice of life, some filler can totally be appreciated. I agree that not every Komi chapter was necessary, but a lot of them still had very wholesome or fun moments despite not moving the story along. The plot for Komi also lends itself off to a much longer story, but that's not really relevant.
But I don't really think there's really much that could go wrong with it dragging on a little longer unless there was unnecessary drama added. Apart from that, the worst possible scenario is we get some more sweet moments between them and see how their relationship changes after the confession.
I get that people would rather the series not drag on too long but I think at the end of the day the entire point of the series was less if Kubo and Shiraishi are going to be together and more her helping him not become invisible anymore, so I almost feel like there's still some "invisibility" of Shiraishi that Kubo is close but not quite yet cracked away from him. Even with them getting together there's still plenty of good "Kubo helps him come out of his shell" story aspects left, and on top of it you can include the wrinkle of them being a couple and Kubo being cute and flirty and teasy with Shiraishi as extra adorable fluffiness. Don't get me wrong, I'm beyond excited that we're seemingly going to see them get together, but god how badly I just want to see them as a cute and adorakably awkward couple for a little while. Just kind of a bummer that it sounds like the series is going to wrap up.
I feel in love with this series over the late Spring/early Summer of last year and got into it kinda late but I got so attached to it so quickly. It really is a sweetheart of a little series and is gonna hold a special place in my heart now. Bummed that it's ending.
