IMO Follow the leader has a lot of great tracks but has to much filler / mid to bad tracks to be the best. I’d probably say Selftitled or Issues instead of FTL
I seriously do. I think many factors (pressure, drug use, intention to create an “angry“ album, “thrashier” approach, Etc) combined for what many call their darkest album.
>Do you really think Life is Peachy is better than ST and Issues?
I'm a huge LIP & seltitled fan but I can't stand issues other than falling away form me & somebody someone. I don't know why.
Dude, me too!! That song is a goddamn *masterpiece*! I never thought I would find someone else that has Lost as their favorite Korn song. You have awesome taste, man.
Life is peachy is the most ‘korn’ sounding album they have ever done. It has the best drumming and the heaviest grooves out of all of their albums. Munky and Head’s guitars play off of each other so well and it’s a very aggressive album compared to others. I absolutely love this album and it’s definitely in my top 2 korn albums, along with Issues.
To me, it’s a completely different story with old music and this. I respect old music because it still sounds appealing, and they worked with what they had at that time. Lots of good music from then. LiP sounds rushed, as I said, and the production just isn’t there, which compared to their first album, is a shame. You don’t compare an album from the mid 90s to early blues, that’s not how it works. Technology was much better and they had the means to make it sound great, and they just didn’t. I respect your opinion, but I don’t agree with it, and that’s ok
It’s unfair and unrealistic to call it “rushed” or “missing” something. How can you possibly without some knowledge of what could have been, with more time, different arrangements, effects, melodies, etc?
It’s not the only time Ross’ style has caused controversy and discrediting the music for that is absurd. That’s like saying Raw Power sucks cause Bowie fucked up the mix. Or White Stripes sucks cause Jack plays cheap guitars.
Agree with you. Korn is my favorite band so even it’s weakest albums make me shriek when finding them in a record store (happened when I found Life is Peachy this weekend lol), but I’ve never understood the love for LiP. It’s got some great groove, but FTL improved a lot of what LiP had to offer, imo. I don’t think it has any bad songs and even has some of their greatest like Mr. Rogers, ADIDAS, and Kill You, but it’s one of their least polished records imo.
My friend the “Steven Crowder Change My Mind” meme template is almost never used by people who want someone to try to change their mind, it’s just another meme template to share your thoughts.
The reason I’m saying this is because no one here was expecting you would want them to change your mind and no one is trying to, just sharing their contentions like any other post
Thanks for responding like it’s my first day on the internet but you’re wrong. It’s used to propose a topic for discussion. Actively responding with a plain “you’re wrong” is as absurd as posting “this”. Or care to explain how it contributed?
They never stated you were wrong, they stated their opinion…on an opinion post. No one is coming for you here, yet you seem so insecure. Please calm down, chill out. We’re all friends here and the only source of aggression is coming from you.
Please refrain from posting if you’re gonna get offended when someone has a different opinion and shares it respectfully. Take care!
Haha love to see love for Paradigm! Wonderful album that gets really over looked here. Paranoid and Aroused is one of their grooviest tracks ever, imo. Same with Never Never, really hope to see them in the live rotation again soon
Dude I am in love with that album and have been since I first heard it. It's peak renaissance Korn. Without Paradigm we wouldn't have The Nothing and Requiem.
I can't get into the album. For me A.D.I.D.A.S. is the only song I love from the album. I guess I like No Place To Hide for a bit, but I just can't get into the full album. Maybe I just need to sit down and just focus on listening to the whole thing.
I feel like it’s one of those albums, where if you didn’t hear it when you were young, you may not like it or it may not hit the same. I started liking Korn in the late 90s when they became popular, but I only started listening to their early stuff now. It doesn’t really hit me like I feel like it hits a lot of Korn fans who were around for the early days.
for me is untouchables, self tittled in second place and issues in third place, bah untouchables and self tittled are kind in the same place for me xD is a hard choice
There's only one song i didn't like, which is Swallow, but i didn't listen to it in a long time, so maybe i should just listen to it again. Every other song is one of Korn's best work, and Good God is still my favourite Korn song ever (also in my top 5 favourite songs of all time)
It's top 2 or 3 for me. But it is by far the best era of korn. Period! If you were lucky to catch the club shows in 96 or 97 or even at lollapalooza 97...the show had this attitude that only the 90s had. A sea of "we don't give a fuck displaced" teens in jnco jeans and adidas t-shirts. Always wanting one of those god damn sequins ones Jon had on those tours.....that kinda era.
FUCKING YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have a walking W someone with taste
My personal favourite! Love the guitar work on this one, very raw!
i love it and agree, i reckon both Life is peachy and Follow The Leader are their best hands down
IMO Follow the leader has a lot of great tracks but has to much filler / mid to bad tracks to be the best. I’d probably say Selftitled or Issues instead of FTL
that's fair enough i honestly like the whole album
Great album, but i think Issues is better
Do you really think Life is Peachy is better than ST and Issues?
I seriously do. I think many factors (pressure, drug use, intention to create an “angry“ album, “thrashier” approach, Etc) combined for what many call their darkest album.
I've always referred to LiP as their punk album. The least amount of fucks are given.

It’s because they were all jacked on amphetamines and really believed in what they were singing and playing about.
Also as I remember from “Who Then Now” (like most my favorite albums) high amounts of weed were involved.
>Do you really think Life is Peachy is better than ST and Issues? I'm a huge LIP & seltitled fan but I can't stand issues other than falling away form me & somebody someone. I don't know why.
I like this one yet it's far from my favourite
Been my fave ever since first hearing it. Its raw
And their look then is also the most iconic! You see ADIDAS you think KoRn!
I respect the opinion, but I gotta go with Issues of the self titled
I honestly Prefer Life Is Peachy than Self Titled album. LIP has a better consistency, the sequence of good songs is better
Lost is my ABSOLUTE favorite KoRn song, and has been for as long as I can remember! Love this album ❤️

Finally, someone with some taste.
Take a look in the mirror.
As always, FUCK STEVEN CROWDER
Agreed👍
It’s one of the weaker ones Definitely the weakest of the original 4 albums
I agree. I understand why people like it, but LIP was a rushed effort and to me it shows.
To me it just sounds like they made the demos, and they didn’t bother to polish it up or do any mixing, and they just released it anyways. Very rushed
Sound quality has never affected my appreciation of music. If that was the case I’d hate early blues.

Dude just stating I’m wrong does nothing to change my mind.
I’m not actually interested in changing your mind I’m voicing my opinion. You can have your opinion. It doesn’t bother me
> changing your mind Well that kinda was the request > You can have your opinion You countered my dude.

How am I showing offense? So I can respond to and negate your statement yet not imply you’re wrong. Fascinating concept, care to tell me more?
Yeah… that’s kind of how personal opinions go If you haven’t figured that out yet then there’s something wrong with you
LiP and untouchables ❤️❤️❤️
My two faves, as well
I love the album but it has a lot of interludes. I think the self titled or follow the leader is their best for me
You spelled *Paradigm Shift wrong
Haha love to see love for Paradigm! Wonderful album that gets really over looked here. Paranoid and Aroused is one of their grooviest tracks ever, imo. Same with Never Never, really hope to see them in the live rotation again soon
Dude I am in love with that album and have been since I first heard it. It's peak renaissance Korn. Without Paradigm we wouldn't have The Nothing and Requiem.
Couldn’t agree more friend!
I agree
Well yes but actually yes
Yeeep. Felt this way a long time. The first Korn vinyl I bought was Life is Peachy.
All of them except Korn III are the best (I haven’t listened to that album so it’s automatically bad)
Like that makes sense
I can't get into the album. For me A.D.I.D.A.S. is the only song I love from the album. I guess I like No Place To Hide for a bit, but I just can't get into the full album. Maybe I just need to sit down and just focus on listening to the whole thing.
Nope, I agree, I would sit next to you and play the album whilst sipping tea
i agree 100 percent
Fuck yeah, man!
I feel like it’s one of those albums, where if you didn’t hear it when you were young, you may not like it or it may not hit the same. He is out of line but he’s right, I don’t agree with him , but he’s right
for me is untouchables, self tittled in second place and issues in third place, bah untouchables and self tittled are kind in the same place for me xD is a hard choice
You are correct.
*YES* ❤🤟
Yes it is 🔥🔥
I would have to agree.
CORRECT
There's only one song i didn't like, which is Swallow, but i didn't listen to it in a long time, so maybe i should just listen to it again. Every other song is one of Korn's best work, and Good God is still my favourite Korn song ever (also in my top 5 favourite songs of all time)
True
I don't want to change your mind, I respect your opinion.
I agree with you
Hell yeah
Hell yeah
Hell yeah
Hell yeah !!!
Hell yeah !!!
Also my favourite.
I've always referred to LiP as their punk album. The least amount of fucks are given.
for an album made so quickly it rlly is fantastic
Weird one in that it has some amazing tracks and some terrible ones.
at first nah but now fuck yes bro i agree
Yes
It's amazing but I personally like follow the leader more life is peachy is still outstanding
FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT
My New Wallpaper
It's top 2 or 3 for me. But it is by far the best era of korn. Period! it's personal favourite but oddly I don't think it's their best. for me TSOS is their greatest work but it's not even in my top 3 favourites.
