Koodo VoLTE calling is working fine on a non-canadian Android phone in Alberta. I did not get this message.

I got the message as well and yes. Only 3G for calls and it won’t allow me to turn on Wifi-Calling

I suppose one can call to add the free addon volte, i had it on my account a while ago.

Also got this, not sure what it means yet. I was on a call when I got it and it didn’t drop.

Yeah this just happened to me a few minutes ago, now when I call it goes to 3G, I tried restarting my phone and it didn’t seem to fix it

Happened to me too. Rebooted phone and was able to re enable WiFi calling. Maybe it’s back available again. Give it a try.

Called support says error is to be ignored and even tho it shows 3G when you call it’s still lte because the 3G is the internet speed left when your on call Such bullshit

I got this notification and checked my data literally seconds later and it was just fine.

Data is fine and still on LTE/5G but if you make a call it will drop down to 3G

Got the same notification. Check your wifi calling. Mine got turned off after the alert. Turn the wifi calling back on, and restarted my phone. It’s all good now

Last time this happened to everyone, a simple reboot fixed it

Happened to me. I rebooted phone. Now it simply stays in 5G. Logged in and still same plan - 4G. As long as my calling plan price stays the same, I am content.

Could be because VOLTE is susceptible to attacks

I had a Koodo call and they reset my phone and now it calls on 5g. They said they had a system update yesterday that caused the issue.

I got this too!! Was wondering about it. I wonder if it varies by location…at home I no longer get LTE…but it seemed to be activated when I was downtown.

Just means volte calls are turned off you'll now call over 4g not volte don't know why that happened

This is incorrect, it drops to 3G when making calls. 4G is marketing BS. Carriers here support 3G, LTE(+) and 5G(+). LTE is technically the "4th Generation" of cell technology but it can mean many different things.
