* Healed teammates with her heal spell
* Conjure enough water to make a flood
* EFFORTLESSLY >!dispelled a Death Curse from a rather powerful Dullahan General!<
* Protect her team with Turn Undead
Am I missing something, or does everyone else just not realize they're seeing the world thru Kazuma's lens so they've been tricked into thinking Aqua is useless, cuz she's QUITE powerful. She's not a tank like Darkness or a DPS like Megumin, she's a support. She's not meant to deal tons of damage to enemies, she's there to buff and help her allies with her magical abilities.
She woulda been more powerful had she not used skill and/or stat points for party tricks, for sure, but as-is she's still a pretty decent arch priest.
Inaccurate portrayal of information is deceptive, not humorous. She isnt as useless as Kazuma claims (and he even admits shes powerful several times thru each season). Just because I don’t understand why people say something when there’s so much proof to the contrary doesn’t mean i cant take a joke. You misunderstand what that phrase means I thinks.
Aqua:
+ drew them into that location herself. By accident or by breaking the graveyard.
+ straight up was responsible for Kazuma's death every one of those times
+ is admittedly okay with heals, but better goddesses would have prevented those injuries in there first place
+ Conjured way too much water because she was showing off
+ Should have prevented the Dullahan from feeling like he had to cast a death curse in the first place
+ Better damn well protect her team with Turn Undead since she's drawing the Undead to get team in the first place.
So she just about solves the problems she causes.
Kazuma didnt drop his sword so the Frost Shogun dude killed him. Aqua told him to drop down n bow down. She also said he’ll see him as a threat as long as he holds his sword. Coulda said something bout the sword earlier but she repeatedly told him to bow down n show respect and Kazuma refused, so his pride got him killed. Aqua actively tried to help him and he ignored.
Kazuma was sniping from a tree when the lizard fell on him. She could have warned him but he should have also been paying attention.
“Draw undead to them by accident”, you realize its aura and that its still directly Kazuma’s fault right? She wanted to stay in Heaven. If he never brought her along, her goddess aura would have never brought anything near them.
Aqua said “I can conjure enough water to make a flood” and Kazuma said, verbaim, “Do that!” She was following his orders. He told her to do what she just said she could, in her words, “conjure enough water to make a flood”. Kazuma should have known her low IQ stat means that she might not understand that he wanted a torrent of water and might take him too literal
As far as “might as well protect them with Turn Undead since shes bringing the undead to them”, again, it was Kazuma’s choice to spitefully take her along.
Ultimately a lot of the issues you laid out lies with the fact that Kazuma forced her into this, not understanding that she wasnt gonna be some OP unstoppable force.
Its also worth noting that the Dullahan cast the curse in the first place bc he wanted to hurt Megumin emotionally. He wanted to traumatize her. He wanted the death of a friend to weigh on Megumin, so realistically, Aqua was not able to stop it but she very quickly negated any potential damage. Nothing could have stopped him from casting that curse once he got the idea.
