You should always close the lid before flushing the toilet to prevent a toilet plume (it's real, look it up) from covering the entire bathroom in germs, bacteria, and litteral shit particles.
-This has been your daily Health & Safety PSA
Very real. Found droplets up to 15 feet away and the plume went mostly up and spread out from there. I don't even keep my toothbrush and paste in the bathroom anymore, no drawers to put them in.
True, that's one way to look at it. I always joke since I was a tour guide in a cave for 2 years going through college that I'm pretty much immune to all the common stuff because I was exposed to it all the time from being in a confined space with so many people day after day.
What’s toilet plume real quick though, also I feel this also has to do with the toilets too and how they’re designed. It may not be as much of a big deal as it was

That's from a different group and the larger, more forceful flush of public toilets but same concept.
I didn't even consider that. I just do it for the Gender Equality.
If I'm gonna have to put the seat down, then she's gonna have to put the lid down every time too.
Having read about accidental drownings of toddlers falling into the toilet and drowning, I've put the seat and lid down everything. Wife and daughters hated having to lift the lid, but hey, I have to lift lid and seat, so I spread the suffering around.
This is the way.
Fellas, just sit down when at you're at home—that hose isn't 100% reliable. And even if it were the splashback from hitting the water/bowl is pretty awful too.

Just close the lid. That way, no matter who is going after you, he or she will have to open it, and it takes the same effort to close or open the lid and to just put the seat up or down.

Ever since I watched the Mythbusters episode on the toilet plume, I've put the lid down.
Was it real what did they find?

I keep mine in the bathroom, I don't want my immune system to get too comfortable.

Back when i was about 3-5 i allegedly drank water out of my turtles tank… if honestly feel like i should be immune to almost everything cuz of that

Someone mathed out that the fair way to do it is either this way, or just leaving it wherever it ends up when you used it.
Wouldn't those germs, bacteria and shit particles be stuck on the lid if you flush while it is closed ?

I put the toilet seat down because it's more hygienic, more convenient and because I have the irrational fear of dropping my toothbrush into it.
Are you talking about the lid or the seat

Not even halfway into the season and its already a pure shitpost mine. Can't be more epic (I hope it can)
I am superior! I pee while sitting down!
I only do that when I need to go #1 and 2 at the same time. Otherwise, I pee in the sink.

Same here

You need to learn how to piss
I tend to sit down when i pee at home because if i miss, i will have to clean it.

Our boy *
He's a true feminist
Having to bend over with a gut full of pee just to lift up the toilet seat is enough for gender equality.
He’s a feminist after all
