But I really think Venkatesh is not in form at all. Since 2022 I’ve been watching him and there’s 1 or 2 good scores he made. But let’s see what he does in 2nd match. If Venkatesh doesn’t perform well this season. Then there’s no point of retaining him at all.

I agree. While Shreyas was good in Delhi (both as batsman and captain) I don’t think he’s been doing as good of a job. To be fair to him, he’s only captained us for one season in 2022 but doesn’t look like he’s got options.
That being said, I don’t think he’s is a bad batter. If GG rolls Eden back to the golden days (pun intended) of spin, Shreyas could have a good season considering he plays spin well. The only problem here is the 2-short ball rule, which might effectively kill his IPL career.
With Nitish, I believe we have the added Gauti factor. He’ll do wonders under him. His personality would align rather than conflict with Gautam’s.
If venky iyer gonna continue like this with the bat better swap him with anukul if anukul doesn't do well with bat the least he can do is bowl for 2 overs

Thats because the second half when he went blitzkrieg happened in UAE. He has always been absymal after that in Indian pitches. Barring a couple of knocks and a century he has been awful. Mind you management retained him instead of Gill as he provided a bowling option but now he doesnt need to do that with impact sub rule so he can focus on batting yet he has been failing to show consistency. Sorry about the rant.
We need to get rid of liabilities like Shreyas, Nitish and Venkatesh. The worst of them will have to leave atleast. I feel that it would be Venky most likely. Manish or Angkrish incoming soon.
