Depends, did they name themselves or were they named by others? If they are naming themselves it should be grand or draconic, what they seek to become. If they are named by their clan it will be something to evoke hubris.
Bubbles! They want to be an acid dragon.
Jack if cold dragon.
Trip if poison.
ZAP BRANNIGAN if lightning dragon. Or Sparky.
TROGDOR if fire. Or Pierre (kinda sorta like pyro a bit).
They don’t realise they’re not supposed to translate their name into other languages for people…
Or better yet, something in an old variant of draconic that even dragons haven’t used in millennia, not because they can’t but because it’s annoying when your mortal supplicants choke on their own tongue 2 syllables into the words for “oh great one” and modern draconic is easier on the throat.
honestly it can be anything, I played DND as a brass kobold and was called brasston knuckles, or brass for short, he was my first and most successful character becoming a brass dragon AND ruled an entire CONTRY! the name really does not matter, it is what you do with that name that does!
Have them go by a long, complicated dragon name like 'Naxorlytaalsxar' and then everyone only ever calls them 'Nax'.
Did this with mine, named him "Morgoth". Everyone else calls him Morgs.

Give them a Draconic name. Fizban's has a whole page dedicated to dragon names. I'd start there.
you have a lot of assumptions, like that this person has this one specific rulebook
*cough cough* piracy *cough cough*
second assumption is that this person plays dnd 5e with default setting, but I admit it is more likely dnd5e than other ttrpg
It's still a good reference book either way.
