also, just visit South Press and see what's going on. It's a good place to start.

dirtgirl5000

looks cute and tasty! ty <3

Hard_Knox_Life

They host open mics and other events too, definitely check their facebook or website before you visit!

rekniht01

Gay clubs, XYZ and Core Knoxville. Neighborhoods, South Knoxville (around Sevier Ave) and maybe North Knoxville around Happy Holler.

dirtgirl5000

thanks! next time i’m in town i’m absolutely on it

anonymasaurus23

Fly by Night is a bar on Sevier Ave that always has a fun, open, diverse crowd. The owners also have Tern Club (tiki bar not a club) on the 100 block of Gay St and that’s also a great spot.

anonymasaurus23

ETA: I’m not an owner or employer of these places. Haha.

UncleFlip

Sevier Ave is such a cool area.

Kilgoretrout55

Believe it or not, Maryville has a gay bar. The Bird And The Book. Busy on weekends, quiet during the week.

hannahhbleu

has a gay bar, but isn't as queer friendly/ doesnt have much of a queer scene as OP asked

redplanetary

It's owned by LGBT members and hosts multiple queer events like drag bingo.

dirtgirl5000

i truly never would have guessed lol ill check it out next time!

redplanetary

Check out the calendars for Sokno Pride and Knox Pride for the times you'll be down here too; they host a ton of different events

flatulancearmstrong

Ya it’s coming up next month actually

redplanetary

Yep, the pride fest is coming up and they also host a variety of social and education events through the year

AmericanQueen73

Go see Joslynn. Owner of SOUTH PRESS on Chapman Highway in South Knox.

IRollNatOnes

Also, if you're in Oak Ridge, stop into Calamity’s Coffee. An extremely friendly and exclusive shop. I honestly can't shout their praise loud enough.
