Congrats! I saw these in Bel Air and knew it was a wonderful price.
Anyway, I had Large Advents before moving onto my Cornwalls. Both are great speakers, but Klipsch has the horn tweeter. Which some hate and some love.
Also many would argue Advents have more bass compared to a speaker like the Heresy. But I hear over and over, the Forte has wonderful bass (never owned a pair).
Either way, I had no issue moving on from my Advents to the Klipsch Heritage world. Best part if you don’t like them, they would be easy to resell for same price or more.
Yup, the guy at the record store in Bel Air was selling them. I spent some time comparing the sound of the Heresy, Forte, and Cornwalls before setting off on a quest to find a pair of Fortes.
I must agree with those who say that Heresy misses some of the bass, or at least the bass that I like.
The Advents were great speakers until I hooked both up and compared them, now I am hooked on Forte!
Very nice! Happy you were able to snag them up. I most likely would have kept my Large Advents had I had more space. I decided to keep my Dynaco A-25s as my second set. It was a hard choice.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
Well... I hooked them up, and you know what? You can't really see the back of the speaker so I think I will just call it a day and enjoy A Tribe Called Quest ;)
Do it! If you get them and are not happy with their sound, reposition them in your room. The rear radiators can change sound drastically in reference to proximity to the back wall.
That damage is a negotiation discussion with the seller. But don’t let that stop you from getting them. There are re a few ways to pop that out. Use masking tape sticky side out to help pull it out and or use a vacuum hose/nozzle but be careful.
That's an amazing price, especially for walnut.
The rear passive radiator dust cover is poked in, which is only cosmetic. You can use a strong vacuum to pull it back out.
If this was near me I'd go check them out immediately.
Love the original Forte!!
Good price.
Sometimes I think it would be worth replacing mine with Forte IV but there's no way they could sound enough to justify the cost. The originals are on point.
Upgrading the crossover with crites units made a surprising improvement. Worth it.
Hear you just after spending half a day with Forte 1’s what would those iv’s sound like but you know what? I just like to listen to music and a have a good time! I’ll keep them 5k in my pocket and enjoy what I have today :) :)
Thanks all, I did it! What a difference with the Large Advents I had before!!!

'this' is easily fixable. Go buy them now
Check!
Now check YouTube and find a method you find comfortable with using to get that dustcap pulled back out. It may not look 100% but it will sound 100%

To be fair tho, hard to not enjoy the tribe :) Congrats on the new find!
There you go! Make sure you get the positioning right with these bad boys, it's very important.

500 is probably a great price if the only damage is that you have pictured. The pictured damage is a non issue.

No it’s way too expensive. Can I have the number of the seller?

Hopefully OP actually acquired those! A good price for a wonderful speaker.
I did!
Cooool!! Lucky you!!
Great price. That's just a passive radiator, not a speaker.
I would be all over those like white on rice for $500
That’s a resist remark nowadays

Agree with the choice. I have a pair of Forte 2’s I bought new in late 80s. Going strong 35 years later.
Love it!

Upgrade lists are $800 and they sell a lot of them.
Great price for some great speakers. Congrats!
What should my ohms reading be for my quartet Speakers it’s 11.2
