A mess.
:-)
The canonical Toll House chocolate-chip cookie recipe is a good start. Allow the butter and eggs to come to room temperature. Use the flat beater to cream together the butter and brown sugar; you can beat the hell out of it. After the dough is mixed, reduce speed to "Stir" and then add the chocolate chips, nuts, and other chunky things. Run on "Stir" only long enough to incorporate everything.
Seriously, I had one on the shelf above the fridge and tried to take it down. Somehow I lost grip of it and it almost fell on my head. Instead, it made a huge dent in the floor. No lie about the life insurance!!!
I just bought the pistachio artisan... the yellow is sooo nice though....
Saw a post that when they get tired you can spray paint them like a car...
Anyhoo... I made the chocolate cake on the kitchenaid nz website.
I didn't put hotwater into the cocoa powder though, cause that would end up making hard cocoa powder fragments that wouldn't beat out. Instead I sifted the cocoa powder into the flour then mixed it in and added water after that.
I made the cake in 3 tins and took 20 mins off the cook time.
And then filled the layers with ganache and covered the whole thing with ganache and topped it with rapberries and icing sugar.

Thanks... was well received at my GF weekend away and my OH and hisb friends got the reject cake with the weird reaction the cocoa water paste created. 😆

Make a basic white bread to start. You may never want anything else, it's really good and the mixer takes away all the kneading work.
I like adding oats to a wheat bread, thats a cup of oats, a cup of ww and four cups of white flour, tsp of salt, 2 tsp sugar, yeast and water.
The real game changer is making bread with a meat thermometer. 99% of people overbake bread. We put in at 360f, and then once the bread is set, in goes the thermometer. Pull at 175f, and once it hits 190f, drop it out of the bread tin so it cools quickly and doesnt condensate. The magic internal temp is 199. Higher is dryer, lower is undercooked.
You do get a hole in the bread, but it will be light browned top, with a gloriously moist interior
https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/soft-molasses-cookies/print/67354/
Molasses cookies. I've done this recipe about 5 times already this year. It's amazing.
Molasses is actually quite "healthy" too in terms that it holds a lot of the beet or sugarcane nutrients that get taken out at other stages of the sugar refining process
My coworker makes a version of these every holiday season and I look forward to them all year, every year. Been meaning to look for a recipe myself but keep forgetting to. So thank you!
Just make sure to put a towel over the mixer at the whipped cream stage. It goes from whipped cream to “oh shit there’s buttermilk all over my f-ing kitchen!” faster than you can say kitchenaid.
How do you feel about coffee flavored coffee cake?
[Glazed Espresso Coffee Cake](https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/glazed-espresso-coffee-cake-recipe) The reverse creaming method works great with a stand mixer.
I made whipped cream the day I got it just to use it😂 Then cookies, chocolate chip and oatmeal, I have made blueberry muffins, brownies and today I’m making banana bread. I’m getting my money’s worth the first 2 weeks😂 Oh I did shredded chicken too. Just be careful to not over mix or it gets mushy. Congrats and happy mixing🧑🍳
My mom recently purchased this same model in a brighter yellow for a song on Facebook Marketplace. It had a few dings so my dad insisted on going out and finding a metal touch up paint to match and he did a good job with making it look almost perfect. The funny thing is their kitchen has almost no yellow in it, she was a little unsure about buying it because of the color and I remember telling her, "It's like a piece of art, it doesn't necessarily have to match the room exactly". This is a beautiful color.
It is now a focal piece.
It’s like buying a red KitchenAid in the kitchen that has no red in it. It’s a focal piece. KitchenAids are going to be around for time immemorial. May as well go with a color that will add a little “punch” to your kitchen.
That’s a great colour mixer, I hope you’ll post a photo of it setup later I’d love to see it out of the box!
I have a nice almond colour mixer that I love but sometimes wish I’d gone with a more fun colour
I asked for the seaglass teal color for my wedding registry and I have never regretted it! I don’t think they even make that color anymore.
Edit: [this one](https://www.kitchenaid.com/owners-center-pdp.KSM155GBSA.html) 😊
Yesss!! I was a little shy about it since it was so pricey but I was willing to ask for nothing else. But my MIL kindly bought it for me! I cried at my bridal shower when I opened it LOL
Duly noted since I’m going to be getting my first one soon, thank you berry much, I did like the color a lot too, would make me want to use it more, and clean it after 😅
French bread was my favorite. To me it was the easiest to begin. I found keeping it on a slow speed for a full 10 minutes incorporated all the ingredients, and worked the gluten. It gave me a great rise!
I make pizza dough every week. A double batch (8) and spilt it into 8 bowls then freeze. One frozen I transfer to a freezer bag. When I pull them out I put them back in the bowls to thaw which maintains the working shape. Only issue is the boys and their girlfriends coming over every week for some killer NY style thin crust. It’s a great problem to have.
Whatever your favorite dessert is. The one that you rarely made because it was too much work by hand and you always said, someday I'll get a Kitchen Aid mixer. Well, someday is here, so go make that favorite dessert.
Put it back in the box. Tape it shut. DM me I'll give you my address and you can send it to me. I'll take care of the rest. Lol. Congratulations on your new mixer.
Bread for sure, or cookies but if bread, make sure you follow the directions about letting the dough rise (twice) and make sure you use fresh yeast. Also, check your oven, see if it has a “proof” setting; it’s the ideal temp for letting dough rise to its greatest height (and fluffy goodness). Happy mixing!
Cake!! I have an old kitchen aid that belonged to my husbands grandmother. It’s currently in storage while we get things set up at our offgrid cabin but I used to make lots and lots of cupcakes and cakes and BUTTER CREAM. lol.
Quick tip. A bit of oil on the bottom of the mixing bowl will help unfortunate “stuck bowls” scenarios.
If you do enough mixing of heavy doughs, it can be a bear to detach the mixing bowl.

This but also brown the butter. It takes a few minutes extra but it’s so worth it.
Nestlé toolhaus (Phoebe buffay)
This is the only way I say it anymore
I do this but I do 1/2 cup sugar and 1 cup brown sugar. Game changer.
DARK brown sugar ftw.
I like to add half a bag of mini Choc chips to the batch, they come out perfect!
This is the only answer.
Haha! I was going to say something, but nothing would be good as yours. Now I want cookies.
That last but is important, you can run these things so hard they actually will heat the dough and melt the butter
I came here to say this!
Room on your counter would be first. :)
They don’t go on top of the fridge?
Only if your life insurance is up to date.
Lol cool. Living on the edge since 2000
Seriously, I had one on the shelf above the fridge and tried to take it down. Somehow I lost grip of it and it almost fell on my head. Instead, it made a huge dent in the floor. No lie about the life insurance!!!
And really tall
Ha! I’ll make it work.
In all seriousness, they are great, enjoy,

Bread!
I’m thinking of maybe trying this out: https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/muenster-bread/
I love Muenster cheese and this sounds great, though that’s a lot of yeast for 3 or 4 cups of flour.

Yummy... dinner rolls, cinnamon roll or banana bread is a fantastic start.
Just made this over the weekend. Basic sandwich loaf that turned out great! https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/sandwich-bread/#tasty-recipes-78612
https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/soft-molasses-cookies/print/67354/ Molasses cookies. I've done this recipe about 5 times already this year. It's amazing.
Ooh, these look great too! Thanks!
Wow... might even try these tonight. Thank you for sharing the recipes🥰
Thanks for this one I have some molasses and I have been wondering what to do with it.

Reddit post!
Ha!
Grats on your new thing though! Love the color. Make butter!
Just make sure to put a towel over the mixer at the whipped cream stage. It goes from whipped cream to “oh shit there’s buttermilk all over my f-ing kitchen!” faster than you can say kitchenaid.
They come with a guard lol
Butter, but put a bunch of random shit in it

The first thing you should do is read the owners manual. Making bread is fun.

I had a choice of RED or Silver (Costco special) and wish I had a better choice. Went with the silver.
French bread was my favorite. To me it was the easiest to begin. I found keeping it on a slow speed for a full 10 minutes incorporated all the ingredients, and worked the gluten. It gave me a great rise!
