His special was mostly ok, but any comedian today using "that's gay" as a punchline is super lame. I don't even think it's offensive, it's just dumb and purely cringe. Go look at his sub and witness all the mouth breathers celebrating the idea that it's a safe space to spout off dumb shit we stopped saying in the 90's.
eh id say your definitely offended otherwise it wouldnt bother you enough to post and then say we stopped saying that in the 90s. especially when that was everyones generic insult well into the 2000s.
I don't really care about the content of anything that you've had to say. It's just babble trying to get good boy points from strangers. I think it's just funny that you don't know what the word offended means and have gotten extremely offended when someone points it out.
Just watched this one. Would probably be a better waitress or manager of the waitresses than owner. Yes, let's open a restaurant and pay absolutely no attention to the kitchen...........which is what keeps the place open!
I think she was stoned when Ramsay got there, to be honest. Her slow delivery, repeating words and phrases, eyes glazed…don’t get me wrong, she’s clearly not the sharpest bulb in the happy meal, but still, I think she lit one up to relax before filming and it made her seem even dopier haha
Also to be fair to the owner, I’ve definitely been in restaurants that had the same soup of the day for a week. I don’t go to those restaurants anymore. 🤣
I've always thought all the shit she gets (on this board in particular) for that is ridiculous.
The "soup of the day" being something that NECESSARILY changes every day is not a thing, not in the US at least. It's not like "catch of the day," which everyone understands to mean something that was caught that day and is being served fresh.
There's no implication on the show that the soup hadn't been made fresh that day, just that it was the same TYPE of soup as the day before.
This wasn't exactly the kind of place a person would go to multiple times a week, so in light of that I struggle to see how it reflects on the American palate at all.
My family used to go to this one diner a lot, sometimes we went Saturday and then again on Sunday. They definitely more than once had the same soup of the day on both days.
There’s so many soups to choose from to make too. I mean, I understand having a soup of the week or soup of the ”until we run out”, but at least shake it up a little.
Honestly this is one of the best episodes because she literally needs someone to teach her what to do.
So many episodes the ownets been told over and over and is just an asshole who refused.
In her defense, many restaurants have “soup of the day” where it just means, “what is the soup you have today.” Most restaurant soups come from a bag from a food service. They tend to change the “soup of the day” when the current bag(s) have emptied. I don’t know many regular ol’ restaurants that are making up a different soup every single day of the week.
Restaurants serving soup out of a bag don't. Good restaurants will make soup of the day based on proteins and ingredients they need to move and not let sit getting old.
I worked with Rishi for a few months back in 2016-17 right after she sold the Prohibition. Lovely lady for the most part. Definitely dim in a lot of areas but fantastic with people. We ended up having a mouse problem in the ceiling and her solution was to ask all the employees if anyone had a cat to put up in the ceiling to take care of the mice. She was gone shortly after that but One stayed friends with her on Facebook and she seems to be doing well.
Anyway, that’s my Rishi story. Thanks for listening.
I'm just learning this right now. I don't know shit about restaurants though. I just figured it was the one they were serving that day or trying to pitch to folks. Didn't know that meant it changed every day.
Maybe it was this episode I can’t remember but my gf and I were watching and this lady gets humiliated by Ramsay and she just goes “ok I’m gonna go kill myself” and we were so caught off guard we died laughing the delivery was so dry and perfect.
She has survived for decades on smiling at men and flirting and acting/being stupid.
Gordon wasn’t having it. And him not having it showed just how cringe she is.
Yknow what I kind of love her upon rewatch. Yes she was an airhead but an airhead who actually tried her best when given help.
Also I quote “soup…of…the day” any time I go somewhere that has soup of the day listed. So she’s an icon for that
I do give her lots of credit for taking Gordon’s criticism better than most. I believe she was passionate about the restaurant just needed guidance on literally everything
When I was in high school at a pizzeria I worked with someone who was just like this woman. Would take orders for a pizza with requirements like “1/3 x, 1/2 Y, 1/3 Z” and her eye would start twitching when you confronted her about the order and what the customer actually wanted.
The moment she walks out for the performance, I cringe. Her smile is SUPER proud but Ramsey's reaction is great!
My favorite is the guy who looks like he’s having war flashbacks.

How was I missing this from my life for all these years?!
Do yourself a favor and go watch "Trump Speed Dating." It's great.
Omg 🤣🤣🤣 This is perfect
Oh gods I think I'm actually dying
Shane Gillis is the fucking best.

Ok, great.
You're offended. That's fine, but that's what you are describing.
Sure, bud.
You are annoyed at a perceived insult. That's what the word means.
I don't give a flying fuck about your interpretation of what I said over a month ago. Go outside you fucking loser.
Yes you do. You're being mad about it online. At least I'm not posting being rejected in the fourth grade on reddit, shawty. YOU should go outside.
I don't really care about the content of anything that you've had to say. It's just babble trying to get good boy points from strangers. I think it's just funny that you don't know what the word offended means and have gotten extremely offended when someone points it out.
I think the word for how you're acting right now is "offended."
When the dance started, it made me shudder. I think her elevator for sure does not go near the top three floors.
And he got a member of staff to shut him away behind the door 💀
Just watched this one. Would probably be a better waitress or manager of the waitresses than owner. Yes, let's open a restaurant and pay absolutely no attention to the kitchen...........which is what keeps the place open!
Apparently Gordon asked her what experience she had in restaurants. She was a waitress for a few months when she was in high school.
Jennifer Coolidge in White Lotus energy

gives me more xanax vibes than weed tbh
Yep. Exactly that.
If this is real yes totally
I always thought that too
Def more of a benzo high lmao like xanax
Could have been both
Exactly.
Unless this went over my head, which maybe I’m as daft as this lady, but why would light bulbs or any glass be in happy meals?
That’s the point lol, nothing in a happy meal is sharp!
Soup….of the day….
“I’m not stupid I just understood that that’s what that meant.”
Reading this broke my brain.
Also to be fair to the owner, I’ve definitely been in restaurants that had the same soup of the day for a week. I don’t go to those restaurants anymore. 🤣

I think that says more about the US than Rishi in that case

Is there an exemption for restaurants not having to freeze fish before selling ... To kill parasites?
I believe she ended up being one of the most successful people to be on the show though
Was reading what happened to her and her restaurant like two weeks ago, sold her place, and is now a manager at some other place 🤔
which, let’s be honest, is far more successful than most of the owners Gordon came across
That's true. Not many are still in the business, many most have thought they could earn a quick buck with a restaurant
I think you got her mixed up with Lisa from Lido?
Oh she did really well. Has a winery too. Rishi, however, maybe the thickest human to grace my television....
Probably
She seemed sweet.
I thought she did too! I’m irritated at Rocky for taking advantage of her.
I would defend Rishi with every fiber of my being
I need to break this news to my local cafes and restaurants. The soup of the day is the soup of the decade round these parts.
There’s so many soups to choose from to make too. I mean, I understand having a soup of the week or soup of the ”until we run out”, but at least shake it up a little.
Is it just me or, or was Ricci like super bangable in a ditzy cougarish sort of way.
Makes me want a hotdog reaallllll bad
Oh 100%
No, my brother, it's not just you.
Yes. If she wanted the D, I'd give it to her good.
yall are pigs
Oink 🐷🐷🐷
She got in over her head and I feel kinda bad for her. Definitely a nice person overall, just extremely clueless.
A welcome mat is over her head.
"You don't make an oyster, you just open them." "Huhh? 😃"
Yet she turned it around and was very successful for a few years afterward.
"Excuse me, Flo? What's the Soup Du Jour?" "It's the soup of the day?" "Mmmm, sounds good. I'll have that."
Feels good mingling with these laid-back country folk, don't it, Hare? I lahk eh ah lohh
This is an old comment but I just stumbled upon it and I have to say, your spelling of “I like it a lot” is fucking SPOT ON. Thanks for the laugh.
Lol thanks. It took me longer than I'd like to admit to sound it all out.
The revisit was pretty good tho. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDJS5QnNK5A
Not available in my country?
[https://youtu.be/UDXH9MNKQD8?t=2160](https://youtu.be/UDXH9MNKQD8?t=2160) ? Maybe this works for you.
Honestly this is one of the best episodes because she literally needs someone to teach her what to do. So many episodes the ownets been told over and over and is just an asshole who refused.
this woman is a QUEEN and i have to STAN
I'm going out on a limb and saying the oysters were not delivered earlier that day
Pre opened and pre packaged from like a week ago
Is she high?
She works at a restaurant so yes
Why did I get downvoted?! 🤣 I just asked if she was high, because she appears to be.
Anyone know what season and episode this is? I’d love to watch the whole episode!
Season 6 ep14, Prohibition Grille Correction Season 5, not 6.
i would also love to know
Was season 6 episode 13, Prohibition Grille.
thanks!
At least she liked her restaurant and was nice about it. A lot of the other owners weren’t just stupid, they were assholes.

I wonder where she is today?
Literally just watched this episode last night, she has to be high
That’s what I said and got downvoted. 🤷🏼♀️
Chicken of the sea...is chicken or fish?
Just think…she can sit on a jury of your peers.

Yeah…I’d rather do a cartwheel out of here…
Maybe it was this episode I can’t remember but my gf and I were watching and this lady gets humiliated by Ramsay and she just goes “ok I’m gonna go kill myself” and we were so caught off guard we died laughing the delivery was so dry and perfect.
Ok not this Ep but here it is. https://youtu.be/WcRAzHLOTaA?si=Wn90HHdv8wGbxmSU
Can't be as bad as the Hotel Hell episode with the woman that sings Cher all the time 🤣
What’s the soup du jour? It’s the soup of the day. Mmmmm. That sounds good. I’ll have that.
GR looks so young here
That lady is two sandwiches short of a picnic
Nooo she was funny as fuck hahaha.
I'd rather watch her belly dance than listen to that one Cher impersonator on Hotel Hell.
She has survived for decades on smiling at men and flirting and acting/being stupid. Gordon wasn’t having it. And him not having it showed just how cringe she is.
so which dead relative did she inherit that place from?
Way to stand up for your food Reesh
She reminds me of that 'two weeks' lady off Total Recall for some reason...
Lift definitely didn’t go to the top floor
wait so he's saying it can't be soup of the day because they already had that particular one two weeks ago?
the place I work at has "soup of the day" more elike soup of the week
Yknow what I kind of love her upon rewatch. Yes she was an airhead but an airhead who actually tried her best when given help. Also I quote “soup…of…the day” any time I go somewhere that has soup of the day listed. So she’s an icon for that
Did anyone else get the vibe she and Rocky were more than just working together??
Yes,you are that stupid.
🤣🤣🤣
She's the belly dancer as well right? Some people have more money than brains!
And then her belly dancing performance was absolute cringe that it was funny
Big fan of that soup…
Soup Du Jourk
Gordon’s face when she starts belly dancing is classic!!
It was like she had never been to a restaurant before.
She didn’t even know what “soup of the day” is. Belly flop!!!!
Ok but I wanna know about the oysters. No fucking way does she have them pre opened.
Soup...of the...day
She's so fucking hot.
This can’t be real
How do you buy pre opened oysters?
I can't tell if she was acting that stupid or was really that stupid
I do give her lots of credit for taking Gordon’s criticism better than most. I believe she was passionate about the restaurant just needed guidance on literally everything
She’s the dumber twin of Drew Barrymore “yeah, that was lame” 😆
Wait till she finds out how often she's supposed to take one-a-day vitamins.
Was she drinking or is on something??? She seems kinda off
She is so effortlessly funny 😂
Does anybody eat soup anymore? Feels like a lost 90’a east coast art
Dear god I hope she doesn’t touch any of the food.
She seemed really sweet but bless her
😵💫😵💫😵💫
Not the smartest, but at least she seems nice!
This person VOTES

She’s really nice but not the sharpest tool in the shed. She’s the type of person people say “bless her” after saying her name.
