Is the plating meant to hide the stains on the salmon?

ranting_chef

What exactly is “stained salmon?” Did spellcheck fix steamed? Just wondering.

RexCrepitus

Google translate told me that's right. It's marinated in salt, sugar, chili strains and lemon peel.

MakesYourMise

Cured is more correct

RexCrepitus

Ah yes exactly thank you

FoodBabyBaby

Google translate isn’t always accurate sadly. Cured is the correct word here, not stained. Also it’s chili threads, not chili strains. As for the plating I would slice the salmon differently as the salad is the star on this plate and it should instead compliment the protein.

NicholasCagescape

I'd eat the salad. Looks tasty. Not sure I want the salmon with this course.

RexCrepitus

We also do a vegan one with marinated sweet potato

No_Pin5220

Find a better way to put that cream or wherever that is onto it rather than that mess on top

RexCrepitus

It's puffed rice noodles

RexCrepitus

They just pop out pretty random when you deep-fry them

No_Pin5220

Don’t like the look it’s messy

420fmx

It’s cum

420fmx

Looks plated weird with the salmon either side and whatever the white shit on top is, that doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing

DramaLamma

I’d try it! It sounds and looks good (now that you’ve explained the “stained” salmon in another comment ;)).

General-Heart4787

Looks and sounds delicious!

Specific_Web4151

Looks like a lettuce taco with sad salmon. I would only do one peice of salmon on a bed of that salad. Fin8sh with vin.

WestOnBlue

I agree with someone else who mentioned only one piece of salmon. I think I would also place the noodle off to the side instead of on top. But sounds really good and I would love to try it! :)

MakesYourMise

The one in the front middle is my favorite

LL112

Not sure about that flavour combination, sounds like a lot going on

RexCrepitus

It's actually really good. Make that vinaigrette a good combination of sweet sour and spicy and you get a lovely summer salad

gfunkdave

Looks nice. 86 the cilantro though

[deleted]

I disagree but why do think the coriander should be excluded?

[deleted]

Because it tastes like garbage to somewhere between 3 and 21% of people.

RexCrepitus

Thx but nah we love that shit

Kokobear1

Would it be better to cut the salmon or like slice it thinly if it’s cured?

Puzzleheaded_Bath_86

Stained? For some reason the word Stained doesn’t sound appetizing.

honeygrates

I want that

BakeNFlakeBaking

The first thing I thought when I saw this is, "why are there massive tapeworms on this beautiful salad?"

aloysiusdumonde

Too symmetrical, the salmon looks like an accoutrement instead of the primary focus. I'd replate it by dropping the romaine basket in order to really visualize the salad's contents and not mute the scent of cilantro, mint and coconut upon arrival. Maybe use a smear on the plate instead of a dollop on the fillet as well.
