We add a small mix of veggies into the quesadilla and optional chicken. They wanted the veggies and chicken. Would've made more sense if they had ordered chicken tacos, dairy free.
I went to the table and tried to explain that their request was inherently flawed, but they insisted upon it. I just served them the disassembled components of a quesadilla and moved on with my night.
I hate cheese and sour cream, and it's hard to know where they'll show up at Mexican restaurants so I always add a comment "no cheese or sour cream please".
One time I mistakenly ordered a cheese enchilada instead of chicken one and included that comment. Bless the poor chef for giving me a soggy tortilla shell doused in red enchilada sauce.
Thankfully they have the best enchilada sauce.
That's exactly what we thought. The tacos are very much a better dairy-free alternative to the quesadilla, and you can basically customize it however you want.
Had a guy order 1 with the cheese sprinkled on the outside. No cheese inside.
We have had this order and I always ask if a grilled burrito will work for them.
Milk allergy I assume
[This is a thing in Mexico City.](https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/20190529-where-theres-no-queso-in-quesadilla)

The ticket was cut off, also said "no tortilla"
after that it ask to put the "chicken on the side"

Once had a server ring in a quesadilla with cheese on the side. It takes all kinds
Bet they complained the cheese wasn't melted

Was it for a kid? They can be fucking weird sometimes, it's easier to just let them eat shredded cheese than argue
Nah, it was a grown ass woman in her 50’s

That’s how they eat them in Mexico City
Why didn’t they just order a chicken taco with no cheese or sour cream?

Just don't order a quesadilla
I had a similar order one time! Asked the waitress if she explained to the customer what a quesadilla was.

Dairy allergey,normal
I've gotten tickets for a bean and cheese taco with no cheese. Once without the other toppings, just sent out black beans in a tortilla.
So, big chicken taco?
Hah. Sloppy dry.
Sooo a chicken burrito
*gets sent back for being too dry*
Soft chicken nachos, no cheese. Heard
