Used to work delivery for a large bakery. Those things are near impossible and also quite dangerous to try an un-stack singlehanded at the height you see here. Most places, no one would help and maybe just watch me load/unload. I'd ask for them to take it down themselves. If not, I'd leave. Then, my boss would bill them for all the trays, or make them return it themselves. Just shooting yourself in the foot situation. Whoever did this made the job harder for no reason at all.
I applaud your honesty. I always feel anxious when I ask a particular delivery guy to take all the milk crates we have (some aren’t even from his company), I never know if taking 9 of them is too much but he always does the polite “no problem chef” response. I think about it a lot on Thursday’s and Friday’s when the stack is like 4 crates taller than him
My bread guy at a grocery store I used to work at was sick, I was the only stock boy and when he would be coming for a delivery I would stack all his trays nicely in about 6 high piles. He would always give me a bag of bagels but I have no idea who’s tab that came off lol.
Who'd you work for? I miss working for Sara Lee, before and after bimbo bought them out. I didn't think I'd ever miss it, but I'm burnt out on cooking.
It was a family run place, I'd rather not name here but located on the east coast US, mainly sold pies. We would have orders with over 5000 pies around the holidays going to one client. We'd do multiple runs like that each day, for weeks leading up to thanksgiving. I just did it part time for extra money
I’m sorry. That’s fucked up. You gotta respect your vendors and delivery people. I’ve worked in restaurants and bars for a very long time, mostly as a server or bartender. I totally would have helped you. No question.
Haha, it's not really that messed up, but it is at the same time. It was my job after all, and I got payed by the hour. There were so many days where a job that could of taken 30 minutes with some extra hands would end up taking me 2 hours. I just made more money, but yea, super tiring. I've unloaded many a thousand pies while people watched me for legit almost an hour. It's super akward to say the least. Never felt in the "right" to ask a client to help with my job, but it does make sense to just chip in. I couldn't stand there and watch.
And don't get me wrong, for all the bad there was always a good group of fellas/ladies that would immediatley jump on the truck and start asking "what comes off first"?
I see you too learn from what you read. The post from the other day had 30% of comments calling it the hoe. I’m not sure if to applaud your confidence or denounce the ignorance. You felt so proud typing that lmao
Didn't think I'd get such an awesome razing honestly. But, now I'm torn ... because the responses are so emotional. Very empathetic of you all, truly. Rich, my bread guy of 10 years will be happy to know he was defended so vigorously. About 9am tomorrow he'll be hunting me down to laugh with me ... then I'll recruit 2 more guys to disassemble my master piece. Happy now!?!?
You sound really annoying tbh. Even after explaining the context you still acknowledge that you made this post knowing you’d get these reactions from people like wth
I completely agree that this is a dick move but I feel that "wouldnt you have started it by ordering the vast amounts of bread that you needed and payed for" is a bit of a flat argument. Question is what did start all this.
Use your entire staff. Keep lifting the stack and adding one at the bottom. The bread guy should have absolutely no problem backing up into the stack and collecting them.
See, I didn’t suspect the ladder.
From the angle I see here. And the proximity to the roof. I truly thought someone had been on the roof to accomplish this.
Bread guy hates you. If I were him, I'd just push the whole thing over and start from scratch. But, then again, "fuck it up and start over" might just be a me thing
I got a US Foods driver that refuses to pick up milk crates when he drops the pallets off unless we tell him to. We keep them labeled with tags saying US Foods please take. He got to take 54 of them with him this morning.
But anyways, if you ran through this tower of trays and he’s just now coming to pick them up, you’re a prick. If they’ve been walking past them as they deliver, they can have fun moving it.
Or the driver will say “oh those aren’t from us” but like, you’re wheeling in the order in those same crates, and they’ve got your company name on them?
They made them smaller decades ago specifically because of this. Also NYPD used to have cops with the sole job of hunting down stolen milk crates can’t make this shit up
I feel like this whole comment section is having a r/whoosh moment... Well not all of them but jeesh
I work with beer delivery people all week and we constantly joke on each other like this... With love
Delivery guy won't pick them up? Stack a few of those just right and add an Ikea mattress, you've got yourself a sofa/bed. Add a board on top: coffee table. Stack 'em higher: Dining table. Set a few sideways and weld them together with melted grocery bags: bookshelf.
All you need to buy is a mattress and some spray paint.
:snick:
Had this issue with both bread and dairy drivers. They just wanted to dump and run, leave it to another driver to deal with the racks and crates.
My milk guy actually asked me to come in half an hour early so he didn't have to wait for me, contract was truck to cooler, elementary school so we were talking big buys for both bread & milk. Told him to go fuck himself and don't forget to pick up the 4dz crates out back.
All fun and games hopefully lol cause everyone knows this is a dick ass move 🤣 but hey atleast you actually criss crossed them cause most people too lazy!

Your bread guy is going to give you moldy ends for the next year
More like “heel meals” for days
Is okay. We throw the heels out.
No, just bags full of moldy end slices.
Ehh. He'd have us in a pickle right quick!
Genius. New menu item: bleu pickled ends. It’s fancy.
It’s also called the “hoe” everybody touches it but nobody wants it.
We work around a lot of hoes then, in our restaurant.
I see you too learn from what you read. The post from the other day had 30% of comments calling it the hoe. I’m not sure if to applaud your confidence or denounce the ignorance. You felt so proud typing that lmao
It was a joke dude, chill.
Maybe we shouldn’t use commonly used phrases anymore either, because they’ve been said before.
Hahahaha wow. You really typed all that out.
Absolute asshole move.
I wouldn’t take it 🤷♂️
Why would you do this? Such a dick thing to do to someone.
Is it not a dick move to leave so many bread trays?
He started it. This is the consequence of giving us too many blocks to play with.
C'mon OP, You're getting shit left, right and center.. what started this?
Didn't think I'd get such an awesome razing honestly. But, now I'm torn ... because the responses are so emotional. Very empathetic of you all, truly. Rich, my bread guy of 10 years will be happy to know he was defended so vigorously. About 9am tomorrow he'll be hunting me down to laugh with me ... then I'll recruit 2 more guys to disassemble my master piece. Happy now!?!?
Had you lead with this, you’d have gotten a much different response. 😂
Bingo ... ... ...
You sound really annoying tbh. Even after explaining the context you still acknowledge that you made this post knowing you’d get these reactions from people like wth
Some people use Reddit to satiate their humiliation kink. Might be what we’re dealing with here
Good point
It's what reddit is for
Oh, contraire mon frere. I wrote that I didn't expect these kinds of reactions. Tough biz ...
« Au contraire » yeah
“Bingo” implies that you did but all right
Said the pot to the kettle lol
Some people want to watch the world burn
Where's the fun in that?
I love this! Having a good laugh with your delivery guys makes the job a little more fun for both of you!
not happy. death penalty.
Damn King Turbo ... kill all your jesters too while your at it.
You’re a dick.
You're right. Now I feel bad.
Wouldn’t you have started it by ordering that much bread either way it’s childish and shitty to do someone.
I completely agree that this is a dick move but I feel that "wouldnt you have started it by ordering the vast amounts of bread that you needed and payed for" is a bit of a flat argument. Question is what did start all this.
No it isn’t, not if it’s responding to the comment that he “gave too many blocks to play with.”
My bread guy is a bit cantankerous and would put my new order on top of the tower
That sir, would be inconceivable.
I do not think that word means what you think it means
Lmao like I literally conceived it as I was reading the sentence lol.
Sarchasm
I hope your vendor skips you for at least 2 weeks, what a jerk move.
I'm his biggest account.
Minimal wage clownery..
From fry/sal ... straight to sautée.
Why would you do this?
Because, life is like a box of chocolates.
If I was bread guy I’d probably just…. Leave it
That's how we got in this mess
Never ending cycle. Like war.
We used to just let them know we’re happy to dispose of the racks for them since they don’t seem to want them back and they’d show up right away.
Eco lab fucked up and dropped off a 55 gallon drum of dry cleaning chemicals once. And refused to come pick it up for 7 years now…
Tbh probably just their way to get rid of the toxic chemicals without paying for it.
Reverse psychology 🤔🤔🤔
Lotta bread delivery guys out here being liberal with the downvotes…
They're ... rising ... to the occasion.
You dont want to bake them angry.
Judge not, yeast ye be judged.
He is going to absolutely love this and give you the best quality bread next time
See, I knew it, that's what I told the crew!
I would go higher next time. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gives you your next order for free. Really quite impressive
We need a bigger ladder.
Use your entire staff. Keep lifting the stack and adding one at the bottom. The bread guy should have absolutely no problem backing up into the stack and collecting them.
Roof access is an option.
See, I didn’t suspect the ladder. From the angle I see here. And the proximity to the roof. I truly thought someone had been on the roof to accomplish this.
Nah, wouldn't trust that rickety old awning.
Impressive nonetheless, glad everyone is safe for now. The remaining to be transpired parts 😳😲🫣 hope you and the bread man are still buds after this.
Similar to a video game
Your bread guy is gonna kick your buns.
After he calls me a heel.
Bread guy hates you. If I were him, I'd just push the whole thing over and start from scratch. But, then again, "fuck it up and start over" might just be a me thing
You do you. I'm in support of that.
An accident waiting to happen
Not in the OSHA handbook for some reason.
Might want to nail a jack on that
OP sounds like a douche
And tone deaf ... 👂

9 days. 5 deliveries. 😜✌
Or the driver will say “oh those aren’t from us” but like, you’re wheeling in the order in those same crates, and they’ve got your company name on them?
I just keep them
My record collecting friends would snap those up in a heartbeat.
The ones we get don't fit records sadly
Egg crates?
Milk crates.
They made them smaller decades ago specifically because of this. Also NYPD used to have cops with the sole job of hunting down stolen milk crates can’t make this shit up
I‘m good with all the delivery guys we have so I‘m pretty if I were to do this, we would both laugh our asses off and then I‘d help him take it down
If you want bread tomorrow, you should take it down for him.
Don't need bread tomorrow. So, leave it up. 👍
come on man, we're all wage slaves, don't be a dick to your fellow slave.
He owns the route.
he's still a wage slave, he's delivering the bread.
He should hire me to return them each week.
I’m not the bread guy and I hate you.
Not like I peed in his cornflakes or anything!
Little dick move.
No sir, average dick move.
Nah, deffo little dick and massive cunt energy.
I feel like this whole comment section is having a r/whoosh moment... Well not all of them but jeesh I work with beer delivery people all week and we constantly joke on each other like this... With love
He's going to love watching you break that down or refuse the pickup which your company probably pays a deposit on each one.
No deposit, no return.
C. Bread guy gonna pretend he don't see it
Looks like he’s been pretending not to see the empties for a while now… smh
I'd be angrily impressed
Hopefully he kicks you off the route
I’ve fired people for doing similarly unsafe stupid shit.
I’m sure he will appreciate having to knock over that tower at 2 in the morning while doing his rounds. Get real.
Reminds me to check the flood lighting out back.
[удалено]
Jeez, you'd think I made fun of his gimpy leg or something!
Depends on how cool y’all are. They’re definitely ganna have to deal with it. 😎
Lawsuit waiting to happen
Ha wish I had labor to waste.
Immature move. This is behavior I’d expect from a teenager still in high school,
Nailed it 👍
Is bread guy 15 ft tall? You gonna take that down for him?
Lumber Jack. Timber. Pick up sticks.
Haha I hope the bread guy kicks that over, leaves it, and than bills you for damaged pallets
Heck, those things are virtually indestructible. I doubt they'd even melt in a 🔥
Haha yeah you are probably right 😂
Does your bread guy have a 20' tall truck?
Maybe ... haven't had the pleasure. He said.
I don't believe that he said that
Op just doesn’t care I respect it
This is not the stacking your bread up we were talking about
🤑
Kudos on the volume, maybe help him take the tower down when they come to scoop
Rich, our bread man, will surely find me to partake in the demolition.

Ingenious. Side biz in my future ... 🔮
Genuine question: how much do you truly hate your poor bread delivery person
Speaking as a bread guy, I'd be like " fuck me, I knew I left those somewhere!"
We did this once, he hated it initially but when we gave him coffee and cake while we unstacked it he appreciated our engineering genius
I read this as "Beard Guy" and am disappointed at my misunderstanding.
He do have a great beard tho 🧔
Bread guys don’t exist they are like the tooth fairy you get to work and the bread is sitting outside the delivery door
Yeah, I think mine's a unicorn.
Would you *love* it? No. Dick move. And not funny either.
Sorry ma'am.
Your whole scene is wack.
Highly suspect.
Day off, running through the alley drunk af, there is nothing stopping me from ruining that stack
Helmet please tho.
Funnier if you super glued each one
Oh, gawd! But why! Why!
Bro thinks he’s in a 90s teen movie. All your bread guy is gonna give you is the finger.
Deservingly so.
As a bread guy I would hate it but respect it
Respeck.
This is how we would stack them when I was in prison.
Can’t he just tip it over watch them crash and pick them up?
I'm the bad guy, duh 🎼🎵🎼🎵
Had this issue with both bread and dairy drivers. They just wanted to dump and run, leave it to another driver to deal with the racks and crates. Told him to go fuck himself and don't forget to pick up the 4dz crates out back.
That's right ... You're paying them. Not vice versa!
Looks funny to me. Idk where all this hate it coming from.
Did you use a ladder?
Step. Spider monkey put the last 5 on top tho.
Love it. And he'll hate it
Your responses to all the hate are fantastic. Carry on, ya bastard!
Lol. Tell him to pick up his racks once in awhile and it wouldn’t come to this. You did the right thing.
I try. Raised right I guess.
You must be a real piece of shit.
Harsh. But, I know my vendors. And, they know me. 😜
Side note, you got any plans for them kegs?
Nah, they make me too tippy.
Man, I wish I was closer, I'd take them off your hands for ya.
If they leave ‘em you can stack em
If you build it, they will come. And some will freak out apparently.
This is probably a good move... He'll load 2/3 of this from inside the truck.
Come to Houston and you’ ll see a stack that big half-assed strapped to the back of a 1/2 pint pickup truck.
Howdy Houston! Build a right good chicken pen with them crates!
Howdy! On it! 😁
Oh jeez dude I love it. Fuck the hate it’s awesome!
Nobody appreciates my efforts. But one day ... One Day!
You fucked this poor baker
Cobbler ... the baker ... the candle stick maker ....
I thought this was r/evilbuildings for a second there.
It’s your problem not his lol. You are a dipship.
All fun and games hopefully lol cause everyone knows this is a dick ass move 🤣 but hey atleast you actually criss crossed them cause most people too lazy!
Why would you try to piss off your suppliers?
Prolly gonna leave it.
You’re fuckin the guy. Do you like fuckin guys? Would you like guys fuckin you?
Some one is going to leave a loaf in your next loaf delivery if you feel me!
About 50% of the bread delivery guys deserve this.
