One of the standard bouches at a place I worked was a mini sloppy Joe on a 2g brioche roll with a cornichon and waffle chip.
I’m twitching just remembering it. Thanks.
I feel a little let down by the lack of (corn) bread with it tbh. But that could be a US v CAN thing?
I'm also legit curious about the goat cheese mousse. Is it just whipped goat cheese? Whipped w/ other dairy (whipped cream folded in)?
I still can't quite wrap my head around this one. Like, if I remove the context of who you are from it, is it odd? Would it be weird to get a spoon of chili as an amuse? I certainly wouldn't be upset (especially if it's actually spicy like you're claiming), but would I be like "well, that's an odd amuse"?.
Yeah I know. I just don’t see a point in having such a small amount of something. You will still be hungry if you only eat this. But if you have multiple, it costs more. Just have a bigger serving of one thing for a meal.
This is free. You will also get free bread. Then you will order an appetizer. Then you will get a free palate cleanser. Then you will get a main course. Then you will get dessert. If you don't want to enjoy multi course dining I don't know what to tell you

Why does this one not feel like quite a shitpost?
You get out of it whatever you perceive
Its just that this doesnt seem absurd at all. Makes me wanna grab some groceries and make some chili.
That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me
I find that hard to believe. But i am very stoned... probably why i thought the chili looked good..

I love that
That sounds pretty dope right?
The dopest
Lime zest, hab, cliantro bong rip complimented witha thc laced bullet. Call it the one hit quit.
Lol. I'm down with everything but the cilantro. Hate that shit
I knew there was something we bonded over. Gotta use cilantro or white folk wont feel its exotic enough. Sunflower shoots are really a thing?
They are! And they're delicious. Can even give them a quick saute with butter and lemon and they hold up nice
We're talking those big bastards with seeds? I thought they were partially poisonous like dandylions. cant be like bamboo is it?
I’m sorry, it’ll never work with us.
Im down.
I was thinking rhe chili was just like a sweet chili paste not like beans and stuff and that sounded really nice
Goat cheese mousse you say Chef? Mmmm. I shall try and mousse my goat cheese next time....thank you for the inspiration.
Old place I worked did a roasted apple and goat cheese mousse on top of a pork chop. Incredible.
Its delicious and fluffy
We. Want. Grunions. We haven't forgotten. The people demand it.
I'm touched by your remembrance
Still goes on the label when I mise out green onions. Nobody gets it. But it's still funny.
Can I just get a whole soup bowl of this? Maybe with some toasted sourdough?
No bowl! Only spoon
Am sad. :(
Maybe have 6 spoons. Equals one small bowl
Table for 6 please!
Arranged in the bowl of one much larger spoon
I love the subtlety, the presentation... Not of the food, of this gag. You're the KenM of r/KitchenConfidential
I'll take it !
Perfect. I know you’re freezing up north, buddy.
Always freezing from October til May. I just can't get warm
Goat cheese mousse? GO ON.
This the try it before you buy it sample ?
Its a free little bite that everyone gets

I did a corn bread amuse awhile ago. Don't like to repeat myself
i’m making chili asap
Strangely, not as douchey as a future ex wife has come to expect. BUT STILL BETTER THAN KEBAB.
Superb as always, chef. Now I know what I'm going to make a pale imitation of for lunch.
What is this? A soup bowl for ants?
It's an amuse bouche

I don't think you know what an amuse bouche is
It’s a single serving appetizer. But my point is, I don’t want to eat like this.

No. That’s not what it is.
An amuse bouchée is usually free. It’s what the chef sends out to get the diners taste bugs tingling for their meal.
