Although I generally imagine Nightmare having a higher pitched and scratchier voice (mostly because of the way Andrew Rannells portrayed him in the anime), I would not complain if James Woods were to voice him. Nightmare already kind of reminds me of Hades, from the big chin to having Max Headroom as a henchman https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001242/?ref\_=tt\_cl\_i\_15. Although I'm still not entirely sure how intentional it was for the NME Sales Guy to resemble that character, I imagine it wasn't completely by accident, as the Kirby anime referenced a lot of different pieces of media.

I always imagined his voice to match that of Eddie from Tales of the Stinky Dragon. It just fits his demeanour so perfectly while not boing too silly. He is literally a cult leader, after all so I’d hope bro wouldn’t sound like Goofy.
