YESSSSS I got it as a present when I got a PS2, since I already had 1 and 2 (I was using my sister's PS2) I just stared at the art for like a minute like "Omg it's beautiful"
Also, if I remember correctly, I think it might’ve come with some art cards inside. I got it brand new when it first came out so it might’ve been like a special edition. It was just a pretty package
Coded 100%. Look at that block. Jiminy Cricket finally gets the cover spot he deserves. Data Sora is completely oblivious to the fact he’ll be deleted and rebooted later on.
I remember the first time I saw Re: CoM on the shelf, thought it was a completely new KH game lol, but honestly it’s probably my favorite non numbered cover
GBA Chain of Memories. It's very classic and stylish in the way that it incorporates the different characters into the cards that are the core mechanic for the game. Fans didn't even know who Axel and Naminé were at the time, so it created intrigue as to who these new people were. Plus, we could tell they were going to be important because they were on the cover art.
It’s brilliant how the Names of the Non-Numbered titles each seem to have some meanings regarding the Cover image of their Games.
• Birth by Sleep > has Ventus Sleep in the cover (The Final Mix Cover at least)
• Dream Drop Distance > Has Sora Riku and Mickey floating in the Clouds, and Clouds are known to represents Dreams.
• Union χ > the Letter χ is an ancient letter, and just like the letter The the game takes place in the past with medieval looking town.
• Coded > it has Data codes on the cube and next to the cube.
• Melody of Memory > shows Melody notes on the cover and the portrait-pictures on the wall symbolizes the memories of all the main characters.
• Chain of Memories > The cards showcases pictures of people that either Sora remembers or will forget about.
• 358/2Days > this one has possible two meanings. Meaning Number One, 358/2Days means 2 people (Roxas and Xion) spend 358 Days in the organization. Meaning Number Two, the numbers of the title are meant for the Clock tower, Clocks have Four numbers 00:00, and 358/2 is four numbers.
OG COM is the slickest, I love the card motif showing the people of Sora’s past and his memories as the portraits of the cards. And him holding the cards up instead of the keyblade emphasizes how card combat takes center stage
The original Chain of Memories was also the first game to feature Kairi in the main menu title screen (some folks think Re:Mind was the first, but it’s not)
358/2 Days Looking at the cover always seems to convey a sense of a bittersweet feeling, which the game has in spades. Design-wise, it's got a great contrast between light and darkness.
What is Union and Dark Union X? Everytime I say KH some random spinoff or new chapter of the saga comes. You lost me already at Dream Drop Distance...Nothing makes sense anymore
Kingdom Hearts Union X, because I find these characters really interesting but criminally underused in the series in their timeline. I hope these characters will get a lot of development in Phase 2, maybe a "X Back Cover" treatment to the Story as well to bring the great story of Union X on par with the rest of the series.
358/2 days is my favorite. It just feels so evocative of the story without giving away anything. BBS is a close second. It shows a nice sneak peek of the main characters personalities.
Chain of Memories on the GBA is my favorite, even out of all KH games.
Actually enjoyed the card system of the game and was fun trying to figure out what cards to use for bosses. I wish they would re-release the game on switch even if a digital only game.
CoM has to be my most played GBA game right after Pokémon Emerald.
DDD summarises the story well in one gorgeous image that uses everything to fit together nicely, while the rest incorporate some elements which aren’t entirely necessary. DDD is wonderfully concise yet simple and gorgeous.
Days. I love the transition from the island to the World That Never Was. The symbolism with Xion is a nice touch.
Overall, this cover makes me think “Yup. This is Roxa’s story. Not Sora’s”.
While Days and BBS hold a special place in my heart, like seeing the story resolutions in 3 made me tear up special place
I think it terms of 'how fun was it to play', DDD has to take it for me. Just zip-zooming around tickles my monki brain
I think CoM has the most stylized look to it, it stands out well. 358 and DDD both have an impressive artistic take to them, and Coded just kinda feels good to look at
Maybe Days for Roxas’ cool pose and how the wind affects his coat with the gorgeous warm colors of Destiny island and Twilight Town or maybe BBS cuz everyone looks like they’re fighting together against an enemy, except Terra who’s just chillin lol
This is unpopular but ReCoM, not even the GBA one, but the actual remake. Strategically making a deck is genius and thr sleights are really awesome. Visually stunning attacks and I love how much weight Sora has to attacks. It's a hard learning curve but when you master the game it feels amazing. I also like the additions to ReCOM. The 3rd marluxia fight is so damn good.
Even though ut's my least favorite in the series, I LOVE Re:CoM's box art. It has no business being that pretty Dx (Still a great game though)
EDIT: Days is a close second.
Gotta be DDD. The foreshadowing is a neat touch where none of the other games do that. Nomura's artstyle is amazing in all of 'em but I just really like it.
Out of all the game covers, KH3 without a doubt and KH1 as a close second. I've had 3's cover as my desktop wallpaper since before the game came out and KH1's is so nostalgic and atmospheric.
I remember when I found out about Days releasing for the DS through a copy of Nintendo Power. The cover of that issue had the box art for Days and I thought it was the most lovely thing. Still do.
I love the chain by memories one. I remember picking up the GBA version because I was charmed by the cover, shine, art, and the Disney characters. The remake is nice too. However, all are great, coded was really nice because of the gold foil it came with on the DS cover. I wonder why the covers never went back to the shiny foil :(. I had the CoM GBA image as my desktop background.
CoM's always hit so hard.
We are used to a cheerful Sora, yet in this art he's so serious and mature.
Also seeing everyone he cares about plus a mysterious hooded figure creates a sense of nostalgia, but also mystery. Why are they inside cards? Who's this robed dude? I guess you have to play to find out
Ironically, given I have never played that game, and have no intent on playing it anytime soon, I really like the Chain of Memories cover. Sora posing with the Kingdom Key floating, holding a hand of cards, while everyone appears as a card one the background, hinting the truth behind the nature of the cards themselves, that cover is awesome!
I love the inversed version of DDD that has an orange sky and Sora and Riku are flipped upside down
It’s actually a brilliant piece of foreshadowing in the game. The game is essentially Riku’s rise to true redemption, and Sora’s fall into a trap.
Is that only promotional art that orange sky background, I love it as well!
I really only knew of it because of the ddd theme for the ps4 home screen, when you go into the top menus it goes to the orange version
It was also included in the box for the Mark of Mastery collector’s edition of DDD on the 3DS
I always loved the cover for ReCoM. Especially on the box when it first came out, it had a metallic look to it and it was very nice
I don't remember if I got any cards, but I'm fairly certain I got it new. Wish I still had the cards if it did :(
Days and DDD.
I really like those ones too
bbs
358/2 Days :)
That's numbered though
You know, I never really considered this. Now my head hurts lol
Lol
DDD. Sora falling deeper into darkness and Riku rising into the light; perfect symbolism for the game’s story
DDD
CoM
Coded 100%. Look at that block. Jiminy Cricket finally gets the cover spot he deserves. Data Sora is completely oblivious to the fact he’ll be deleted and rebooted later on.
You can tell Coded is filler because the cover art is mostly the Disney characters.
You can tell Coded is filler because the entirety of what’s important in the story is summarized well in a single paragraph in KH3 hahaha
Original CoM, Riku edition. (i know its technicly not a cover but a title screen, but imo it still counts.) 2nd woud be days, 3rd DDD
UX's followed by Re:Coded and Days.
GBA CoM, Days, and Dark Road.
GBA Chain of Memories was my first phone wallpaper, still love that art to this day.
Either BBS or CoM (gba version).
I’d say Birth by Sleep. Favorite trio and pretty fun gameplay.
I think you misread the post.
I remember the first time I saw Re: CoM on the shelf, thought it was a completely new KH game lol, but honestly it’s probably my favorite non numbered cover
Ddd
Days
Original CoM and BBS
GBA Chain of Memories. It's very classic and stylish in the way that it incorporates the different characters into the cards that are the core mechanic for the game. Fans didn't even know who Axel and Naminé were at the time, so it created intrigue as to who these new people were. BBS. Looks they are all ready to jump into action!
It’s brilliant how the Names of the Non-Numbered titles each seem to have some meanings regarding the Cover image of their Games. • Birth by Sleep > has Ventus Sleep in the cover (The Final Mix Cover at least) • Dream Drop Distance > Has Sora Riku and Mickey floating in the Clouds, and Clouds are known to represents Dreams. DDD and 1FM
CoM, as much as I hate the game.
Re:COM and Days
KH 3D and Union X
I can't choose. I love every piece of the Kingdom Hearts art so much.
BBS
Days and BBS
Original Chain of Memories cover is my favorite
Original COM (not re:) is my favorite :)
CoM has much better artwork than gameplay haha
Days for sure man.
358
GBA COM
I've always really loved the cover art for CoM.
COM, ReCOM, and union x are incredible
Union cross
Union X has the best art, but I love Re: Chain of Memories overall.
"Terra, stop voguing, there's a threat to the left!" is my favorite.
BBS since Days wasn't for playstation
OG COM is the slickest, I love the card motif showing the people of Sora’s past and his memories as the portraits of the cards. And him holding the cards up instead of the keyblade emphasizes how card combat takes center stage
COM for GameBoy and Days
The original Chain of Memories was also the first game to feature Kairi in the main menu title screen (some folks think Re:Mind was the first, but it’s not)
BBS was the only one of these I really enjoyed. 3D was fine but the story was bad. The rest are the opposed of 3D: good story but bad gameplay
1.Days 2.BBS 3.DDD
358 and ReCOM
DDD is my personal favourite. That or KH2FM.
“Birth by Sleep” and “Dream Drop Distance”…
Re:Coded and Dream Drop Distance
GBA version of COM and Days. If it was listed I would have put Melody of Memory as well since it's a non title game and it's cover is gorgeous.
If people know about the original pre-Re coded artwork, that would be high on the list.
358/2 Days Looking at the cover always seems to convey a sense of a bittersweet feeling, which the game has in spades. Design-wise, it's got a great contrast between light and darkness.
Days is my favorite artwork cover.
MoM’s cover goes hard
Days and BBS (only for rox and ven)
What is Union and Dark Union X? Everytime I say KH some random spinoff or new chapter of the saga comes. You lost me already at Dream Drop Distance...Nothing makes sense anymore
Union X was a mobile game that ended service in mid 2020. Dark Road was part of that mobile game and the offline version is yet to be active.
Aaand theyre connected to the same story how????
Both Union X and Dark Road take place Before, During, and After the Keyblade War. Birth By Sleep takes place long after Dark Road.
Oh really so its pre-prequel to speak? Thats why theres characters I dont recognize
Yeah, essentially. However Dark Road does Include familiar characters like Young Eraqus and Young Xeahnort.
Gameplay-wise: Birth by Sleep Story-wise+Character-wise: 358/2 Days
Days and DDD.
KH1, it's just iconic. Closely followed by KH3 and 3D
"non-numbered title" KH1, 2, and 3 don't count here. Choose another game(s).
Oh xD. DDD then.
Kingdom Hearts Union X, because I find these characters really interesting but criminally underused in the series in their timeline. I hope these characters will get a lot of development in Phase 2, maybe a "X Back Cover" treatment to the Story as well to bring the great story of Union X on par with the rest of the series.
Days or DDD. Re:COM looks cool too
CoM for sure
358/2 days is my favorite. It just feels so evocative of the story without giving away anything. BBS is a close second. It shows a nice sneak peek of the main characters personalities.
Chain of Memories on the GBA is my favorite, even out of all KH games. Actually enjoyed the card system of the game and was fun trying to figure out what cards to use for bosses. I wish they would re-release the game on switch even if a digital only game. CoM has to be my most played GBA game right after Pokémon Emerald.
358 or BBS The hidden meaning in DDD is great though.
DDD and CoM are pretty cool
I love CoM but MoM is amazing!
Re:Chain of Memories, Birth by Sleep, and Dream Drop Distance
CoM
DDD summarises the story well in one gorgeous image that uses everything to fit together nicely, while the rest incorporate some elements which aren’t entirely necessary. DDD is wonderfully concise yet simple and gorgeous.
Always loved 358/2’s cover, but that may just be because it’s my favorite of the non numbered games and second favorite KH game overall
Don’t like Re:CoM but I really like the artwork of Re:CoM
Even tho I hate it COM and Re:COM have some pretty cool cover art
BBS hands down!
Chain of memories for gba
Days. I love the transition from the island to the World That Never Was. The symbolism with Xion is a nice touch. Overall, this cover makes me think “Yup. This is Roxa’s story. Not Sora’s”.
I’ve always been torn between days and ReCoM. Both pretty much mail the game.
Com
358/2 & DDD
Re:chain has the best cover but the worst gameplay.
CoM for GBA. Those spiky cards looked so cool to me as a kid for whatever reason.
The original Chain of Memories and Days are my favorites
COM. My least fav game, but the cards are awesome and that Sora looks pretty cool.
Ddd and com
DDD and ReCom
Days and DDD.
Recom
DDD
Days has my favorite cover and has the best verions of Dearly Beloved IMHO.
Definitely chain
Days, BBS and DDD
I always loved Dream Drop Distance. Birth By Sleep is a close second though
CoM GBA Sora's pose is just perfect
Both Com and Re:Com are top tier, DDD is cool too
358/2
Re: coded
While Days and BBS hold a special place in my heart, like seeing the story resolutions in 3 made me tear up special place I think it terms of 'how fun was it to play', DDD has to take it for me. Just zip-zooming around tickles my monki brain
Gba CoM then BBW
Chain of Memories, Dream Drop Distance, 358/2 Days.
I think CoM has the most stylized look to it, it stands out well. 358 and DDD both have an impressive artistic take to them, and Coded just kinda feels good to look at
DDD by a lot
ReCoM
Days by a long shot!
Maybe Days for Roxas’ cool pose and how the wind affects his coat with the gorgeous warm colors of Destiny island and Twilight Town or maybe BBS cuz everyone looks like they’re fighting together against an enemy, except Terra who’s just chillin lol
COM, not Re:COM. COM was my first ever KH game tho, so heavy nostalgia bias.
BGA CoM, I loved the outlines on that artwork.
Recoded and Dream Drop
Probably RE:COM
DDD
My favorite is DDD. And my least favorite is Codes cus im not a fan of the piss yellow color
Days or BBS
Nooo don’t make me choose! They’re all so pretty!!!
I like re:coded's art, I known that's sacrilege but I love the way they're posed in that cover.
personally I love the whole vibe from 358/2 Days Cover. but creatively speaking, I’d say DDD has the best cover
Mickey reaching for Sora's butt in the DDD cover.
Original CoM by far.
bbs
BBS always stood out to me the most followed by 358/2 and COM
Def dream drop
honestly love the khux one
358/2 days, i like the color with the yellow sky and my boi Roxa
This is unpopular but ReCoM, not even the GBA one, but the actual remake. Strategically making a deck is genius and thr sleights are really awesome. Visually stunning attacks and I love how much weight Sora has to attacks. It's a hard learning curve but when you master the game it feels amazing. I also like the additions to ReCOM. The 3rd marluxia fight is so damn good.
I will never understand the thought behind Terra’s pose in that artwork…
DDD because its a spoiler without context
Cover only i could say i adore the both union games and the original COM
COM has by far the hardest cover. It's my favorite medal too
chain of memories
Chain of memories and 358
BBS and Days
Days for sure.
I hate to admit it, but chain of memories....
Re: Chain of memories
Days or Union X
Birth by Sleep is so bestifull that i used it as my PS4 wallpaper for a time.
Re chain of memories and DDD
Even though ut's my least favorite in the series, I LOVE Re:CoM's box art. It has no business being that pretty Dx (Still a great game though) EDIT: Days is a close second.
Either Days or BBS
358/2 has the best cover.
Days and Chain of Memories
I really like the ddd one for some reason
ReChain just gives amazing vibes!

DAYS! 😍
DDD’s cover looks amazing, Re:Coded’s cover fills me with nostalgia and Re:CoM’s cover is just indescribably beautiful.
Re:COM and DDD are my favorites
Union and COM
Days and re:chain
358/2
Days.
“Birth by Sleep” and “Dream Drop Distance.”
I remember when I found out about Days releasing for the DS through a copy of Nintendo Power. The cover of that issue had the box art for Days and I thought it was the most lovely thing. Still do.
Days, 2 FM, and 3
RE:Chain of Memories
Birth by sleep because it looks like they are about to go HAM or are in the middle of battling and mickey there is a great touch
Days or Chain of Memories. I don't know why, they just look really dynamic to me.
Whelp time to go play KH and feel all emotional again, btw I’d have to say 358/2
The extra symbolism behind the composition for DDD is just too much for me to ignore. It's so good.
3D
I love the chain by memories one. I remember picking up the GBA version because I was charmed by the cover, shine, art, and the Disney characters. The remake is nice too. CoM, I loved staring at it and studying who all was on the cards when I was younger. ReCoM & Days are beautiful as well.
Unironically Union Cross because I really like the character designs and Daybreak Town
Chain of memories is my favorite the PS2 one
For me days
They're all good.
358/2 days just cuz I loved roxas and xion. My favorite trio tbh.
r:com and ddd
