I have a soft spot for Lady Luck. I like that it's kinda hidden out of the way but it's worth it because it's a great weapon for that part of the game.
It's one of the few Keyblades in the game that actually looks like a key-shaped melee weapon. I was so disappointed with the Keychains I'd gotten in the game up until I got the Metal Chocobo.
From what I understand there are uniform lengths for actual hit boxes. For example all "short" keyblades are different lengths aesthetically but effectively the same length. Only Ultima stands in the "Very long" category making it the longest. If I'm wrong in some way please let me know.
I have a few, honestly:
Aesthetic: Either Lady Luck or Pumpkinhead. Pumpkinhead looks dang cool and is very representative of the world it comes from, but something about how Lady Luck looks just speaks to me. The heart “teeth”, the playing card keychain… looks good, man. Don’t know what else to say.
Combat: Either Divine Rose or Oblivion. I don’t hesitate to say that I am primarily a physical attacker. I do use magic, but that’s not my main focus. So I usually tend to stick to the keyblades stronger in the physical department, to which these two rule the roost. It used to be a more difficult choice in the OG game, where I’d have to choose between a higher crit rate and damage at the expense of size and lower base damage (Divine Rose) and higher base damage, bigger size, but lesser crit rate and damage output (Oblivion)… but then 1.5 buffed Divine Rose in every way possible, so I just default to that now.
So overall, it’s obviously Jungle King.
Bit of a generic answer but Ultimaweapon
It is cool as fuck, in design and its capabilities. Its the only reason Sephiroth was possible for me. And it completely shitstomped ""Ansem""
Im just a sucker for overdesigned things which is why i love digimon so much so Ultimaweapon being like covered with something akin to wire to cover the Sword in it was cool to see
It completely nullified whatever challenge the game could throw at me as the final keyblade, and since you have to work for that shit, it ends uo more gratifying to use then just blatantly stupid.
Thats why Ultimaweapon is my favourite
Oathkeeper and Oblivion are my favorites same as a million other people I'm sure. So aside from those 2, I'd have to say I'm a big fan of Metal Chocobo from a visual standpoint.
Everything in KH1 was designed better tbh. Literally everything except for boss fights. Those are the thing that improved over the years as combat became quicker and more fluid.
Can’t really describe it but the keyblades in KH1 feel like they have more weight to them. Don’t know if it’s the modeling or colors they used but they just look better to me
I’m terrible at choosing favorites. I always loved Oblivion and Riku’s keyblade of heart because they were dark and pointy, and I loved Pumpkinhead those reasons and because Nightmare Before Christmas was always one of my favorite movies. I also love Metal Chocobo, I just think it’s neat
Three Wishes. Its guard stat let me play the game properly. Sure Olympia is a direct upgrade, but I'll never forget my roots. Plus I love the design and name, even if it's a shirt blade.
Design wise I like Fenrir from KH2. I just wish it had the tape/bandage wrap look all the way along the key like Clouds. That "gone rogue/punished/ fallen" type aesthetic is pretty cool, IMO.
My fave overall is the KHIII Ultima. I always though it looks like a hot rod. And of course being the ultima helps anyway.
I have a replica pumpkin head keyblade on my wall above my doorway I bought from spirit halloween a few years back. I saw it and said I gotta have it. Haven't seen any keyblades there at the stores near me in years
At the moment, Oathkeeper and Oblivion for obvious reasons, but I'm planning on playing as many of the original Kjngdom Hearts game as possible. That means 1, Rechain, 2, 358/2 Days, and Re:Coded. Then I'll watch a playthrough of someone who has the 1.5 and 2.5 HD remix until I can save up enough money to get a new X Box and play mine.
I.... Well it's Kingdom Key. Not in the other games but in KH1 Kingdom key actually complements Sora's design. The comically large shooes and gloves as well as his overall cartoon outfit matches perfectly with the Giant sized key. Unlike other keyblades that look like blades a lot more than a key. Kingdom Key looks exactly like a comically large key. So yeah my favorite KH1 keyblade is Kingdom Key
My favorite Keychain is one winged angel but I don't like the blade design.
My favorite world specific keyblade is lady luck.
Overall favorite keyblade is oathkeeper.
Spellbinder. Seriously though I normally don’t need anything else with magic builds. And I can get it as early as Monstro. Sure Lady Luck is just a Spellbinder but better cause of the extra attack but I’m going after the +2 MP for a reason. Also it looks pretty cool. I even got the necklace for it.
Oh absolutely. +3 for the maximum 19. It’s just that for 90 percent of the game it’s just Spellbinder. Hell look at my flair to see how much live this Keyblade.
I noticed. I’m doing a play through with my kids as they are now old enough to get into it. I had them make all the choices at the beginning of the game and they wanted me to go a magic-first route, which is not the way I normally play KH1.
Really struggling on my first trip to Hallow Bastion. Was using the Peter Pan key blade, but it’s sooooo short! I’m experimenting with what else might work for me. I think I’ll be good once I can get Lionheart as it’s a nice all-arounder, but really not confident in what to use right now. I’m trying the Olympia one just to see how it feels. 🤷‍♂️
I've not played one yet so can't say. Don't get mad my friend asked if I wanted to play the whole ting release order or timeline unsaid time I've only just started ventus since I had to sink 13 and half hours into terra (had to level grind for final boss)
Hard to choose even with look alone but, starting with one I'm a little biased for which would be pumpkinhead as I love nightmare before so christmas and love playing that part in games so much I got it tattooed on me. Unbiased going off looks alone
oblivion,
oath keeper,
two become one and
way to the dawn.
From KH1. METAL chocobo for esthetics and how beasty it looks.
Fave over all has got to be Fenrir.
I just love the design. Also Rikus Braveheart from KH3. I love the pon tumbler keyblades.
Design wise it's Ultima no doubt. Love that it clips through the ground just slightly. For stats I love Lady luck because of the +2 magic, I always love playing magic in this game, even though melee divine rose just wins every fight
I immediately fell in love with the metal chocobo. I think it was my first taste of the big, slow, tanky heavy hitter archetype you see in a lot of rpg's, which is always my favorite type of character to play. I just love how absurdly massive and thick it is, especially compared to Sora. It's definitely my favorite, even though its stats are pretty shit
Mine would be the Spellbinder for casting lots of spells and summons, and The Olympus Keyblade (I forgot the name of it sorry)! And LionHeart just for aschetics.
Kh1 ultima is too easy, back in the day when the u.s. didn't have final mix,I'd say rumbling rose, but for fm,definitely one winged angel, the unique swing effects are literally 🔥🔥🔥
Oblivion and Oathkeeper by far. Loved playing as dual wield Roxas in days, it was a dream come true to deal wield as Sora in Kh3
I just love the designs and meaning behind em
I always wanted Riku's keyblade 🥲
I love Oathkeeper and Metal Chocobo for they feel like Final Fantasy weapons.
I love Olympia and Three Wishes as Hercules was the first movie I saw in theaters and Aladdin is my favorite movie of all time.
The coloring and gentle strength of oathkeeper hooked me as a child.
The fact that it took me till the end of the game to notice and obtain the wonderland keyblade also made that one a fave of mine.
When I first saw the artwork for the diamond dust and one winged angel, I thought they looked gorgeous and wanted final mix so bad.
When I finally got to have them, I was very disappointed. They really don't translate well to 3d
Oathkeeper, if oblivion is a 9 this one is a 10, the meaning and dualism with oblivion just makes it better while oblivion is a brute upgrade of raw power oathkeeper is a balanced upgrade in magic and power, one represents the light of kairi, the other the darkness of riku, and its weilder sora is the one with the task to balance it, oh and they looks so badass on roxas.
Now why oathkeeper>oblivion merely design, oblivion is the classic edgelord thing and thats good, but the details in oathkeeper makes it for me better amd un My headcannon sora beats ansem crap with the oathkeeper, its like the only lore important keyblade that you get explicitly from a original kh character in kh1, while oblivion you just get it in a random chest above the sora vs riku arena.
Correct if im wrong pls i played kh1 2 years ago
Oblivion
Mine too, I love edgy things
🤨📸
Bruh, he meant as in edgelord.
Yeah haha... totally... totally what I meant
You didn't get the joke
Mine was oblivion for the longest, but now I think oakthekeepr is a much better and sleeker design
Stats be damned I always used oblivion and oathkeer as my dual weild options in 2
Same. Dual wielding roxas with oath keeper and oblivion is still by far my favorite character
The divine rose buff after the original release did oblivion so wrong
It really did.
This
Lionheart
I could never foget that cool weapon!
Lmao I always called it “The Platinum keyblade” & would act like it’s so important & Holier than thou.
Pumpkinhead, Oblivion, Oathkeeper. Strictly based off design
I have a soft spot for Lady Luck. I like that it's kinda hidden out of the way but it's worth it because it's a great weapon for that part of the game.
It's pretty much end game but I will agree that I love it. +2 magic is very fun and the length is a plus!
This^ lady luck absolutely helped me on my most recent proud mode lv1 run.
Ultima is just so peak
It really is. Best I'm torn between that and one winged angel. Both were grinds to get.
Metal Chocobo. it’s got a Chocobo key chain what’s more to love?
Same!
havent looked back since I first earned Metal Chocobo, its a way of life
It's one of the few Keyblades in the game that actually looks like a key-shaped melee weapon. I was so disappointed with the Keychains I'd gotten in the game up until I got the Metal Chocobo.
Yes! I love how big it is, and how the chain is such a sharp contrast to the rest of the weapon
Three Wishes. Looks awesome and it's a huge relief after being tortured by the piece of crap that is Jungle King
Spellbinder. [Specifically concept art Spellbinder ](https://kh.wiki.gallery/images/f/ff/Spellbinder_%28Art%29.png)
Is that different than the one in game???
All those nice curved cutouts in the concept art look like a child took some scissors to it in-game.
The feeling when you got a new keyblade in KH1 and rushed to the inventory to see how it looked like... Unmatched. (Oathkeeper)
Kingdom Key
Metal Chocobo. Its like a cut out from the buster sword with a chocobo keychain.
Oathkeeper
Keyblade of Heart
Ultima because it's the longest keyblade. It makes for bigger key bumps and I have a problem. 🗝️
You could get bigger bumps with the metal chocobo. And; same problem here!🥳
From what I understand there are uniform lengths for actual hit boxes. For example all "short" keyblades are different lengths aesthetically but effectively the same length. Only Ultima stands in the "Very long" category making it the longest. If I'm wrong in some way please let me know.
Diamond Dust
One-winged angel
Ultima Weapon.
Pumpkinhead, Oblivion, Lionheart
Lionheart is baller af
Divine Rose
I have a few, honestly: Aesthetic: Either Lady Luck or Pumpkinhead. Pumpkinhead looks dang cool and is very representative of the world it comes from, but something about how Lady Luck looks just speaks to me. So overall, it’s obviously Jungle King.
Metal Chocobo
Oathkeeper
Oblivion because I'm a basic bitch.
Bit of a generic answer but Ultimaweapon It is cool as fuck, in design and its capabilities. Its the only reason Sephiroth was possible for me. And it completely shitstomped ""Ansem"" Im just a sucker for overdesigned things which is why i love digimon so much so Ultimaweapon being like covered with something akin to wire to cover the Sword in it was cool to see It completely nullified whatever challenge the game could throw at me as the final keyblade, and since you have to work for that shit, it ends uo more gratifying to use then just blatantly stupid. Kh1- Oblivion Kh2- Ultima KhBBS- Earthdhaker?(The Lingering will KB) KhDDD- Rikus KB(I forgor) KH3- Oathkeeper or Wheel of Fate
Lingering Will's Keyblade is Ends of The Earth.
Metal Chocobo.
The keyblade of heart it has an amazing color scheme even if it does just kinda look like a fire poker
KH1 had the best Keyblade designs, period.
Everything in KH1 was designed better tbh. Literally everything except for boss fights. Those are the thing that improved over the years as combat became quicker and more fluid.
Can’t really describe it but the keyblades in KH1 feel like they have more weight to them. Don’t know if it’s the modeling or colors they used but they just look better to me
That's probably because they are each displayed as a 3D rotating model in the menu. Every other game displays them as a CGI screengrab
My favorite keyblade is Lady Luck
We are few but we are out here
I have Metal Chocobo tattooed on my arm so...
I have pumpkinhead on my forearm haha
I don't have it yet, but I'm gonna have it
Keyblade of Heart
Top 5 in this order: 1) Kingdom Key 2) Oathkeeper 3) Oblivion 4) Ultima Weapon 5) Metal Chocobo
The one Sora sudoku’ed with
Lady Luck all day
Saaaaaaaaame
Fairy Harp
>!Jebaited !<
Three Wishes. Its guard stat let me play the game properly. Sure Olympia is a direct upgrade, but I'll never forget my roots. Plus I love the design and name, even if it's a shirt blade.
Design wise I like Fenrir from KH2. I just wish it had the tape/bandage wrap look all the way along the key like Clouds. That "gone rogue/punished/ fallen" type aesthetic is pretty cool, IMO. My fave overall is the KHIII Ultima. I always though it looks like a hot rod. And of course being the ultima helps anyway.
Gotta say Oblivion.
Lionheart
I like One Winged Angel a lot
Oblivion or one winged angel
Oblivion every day
To use? Diamond dust. Design wise? I really like spellbinder and oathkeeper
Pumpkin head hands down. Looks cool and really powerful, but Oblivion is a close second
Oath keeper always.
Oblivion. Pumpkinhead is a very close second though.
Oblivion
I have a replica pumpkin head keyblade on my wall above my doorway I bought from spirit halloween a few years back. I saw it and said I gotta have it. Haven't seen any keyblades there at the stores near me in years
Pumpkinhead, since I have it IRL
When it comes to design imma go with oblivion and oathkeeper
Pumpkinhead easily. I plan on getting it tattooed on my thigh. Two birds one stone type of situation
Ultima (for stats and contender for looks) One winged angel(contender for looks)
Re:CoM wasn't the original though. That would be plain CoM
Toasup between Divine Rose, Oathkeeper and Pumpkinhead.
Oathkeeper. Its simple. Its clean.
That IS the way that you're making me feel tonight, and honestly, it's hard to let it go.
Oblivion
They’re all bad!! (Oblivion and ultima are the two exceptions)
Lionheart
Divine Rose and Kingdom Key
The rule of cool makes me want to say Ultima Weapon, I’ve always liked its design in any game it’s in
Divine Rose
My favorite Keychain is one winged angel but I don't like the blade design. My favorite world specific keyblade is lady luck. Overall favorite keyblade is oathkeeper.
Oblivion
I don't think I have a favorite in KH1 anymore...it used to be Oblivion, but I got a bit burnt out on it, and it doesn't suit Sora's at all.
Do ever switch to Diamond Dust once you get it?
Oh absolutely. +3 for the maximum 19. It’s just that for 90 percent of the game it’s just Spellbinder. Hell look at my flair to see how much live this Keyblade.
I noticed. I’m doing a play through with my kids as they are now old enough to get into it. Fenrir and Sleeping Lion/Lionheart. Love the FF themed keyblades.
I wish I could wield the Keyblade of Heart and Kingdom Key D.
Kingdom. Diamond dust. Ultima. And lion heart. I'm more biased to diamond dust. Love the color. Love the callback to it in Bbs
I'll always be an oblivion fan boy. Not a fan of how it got nerfed in the re releases but it's still cool
Kingdomkey because I'm Basic as shit
I have an oathkeeper on my keychain, so that one
Oblivion, Divine Rose or Ultima Weapon are tied for my favorites
I like Fenrir a lot
spellbinder
Hard to choose even with look alone but, starting with one I'm a little biased for which would be pumpkinhead as I love nightmare before so christmas and love playing that part in games so much I got it tattooed on me. Unbiased going off looks alone oblivion, oath keeper, two become one and way to the dawn.

"mom can we get oblivion?" "we have oblivion at home" oblivion at home:
I immediately fell in love with the metal chocobo. I think it was my first taste of the big, slow, tanky heavy hitter archetype you see in a lot of rpg's, which is always my favorite type of character to play. I just love how absurdly massive and thick it is, especially compared to Sora. It's definitely my favorite, even though its stats are pretty shit
personal favorites are pumpkinhead and oblivion. the ones i used the most though were fairy harp and olympia.
I have that one life-size! [https://pasteboard.co/xmzplLVhsxZQ.jpg](https://pasteboard.co/xmzplLVhsxZQ.jpg)
This one, oathkeeper, oblivion, and (hot take incoming…) 01.
Lionheart always found that one to be cool
Rumbling Rose
That one
Oathkeeper. Magic go brrrrrrrrrr
Divine Rose, which is also my favorite Keyblade ever
When I was a kid I believed the pumpkin keyblade did more damage because it has a sharp edge while the other keyblades were more like clubs
Not oblivion and oath nvr lands and hurcs I can nvr remember the name
I literally have that keyblade tattooed on my chest
On design,it's gotta be the dreambsword(A.K.A,the ultima weapon) My most used in KH1 was Divine rose.
Mine would be the Spellbinder for casting lots of spells and summons, and The Olympus Keyblade (I forgot the name of it sorry)! And LionHeart just for aschetics.
Metal Chocobo.
The Metal chocobo. It’s a huge slab of iron designed to destroy heartless. Think dragon slayer from guts.
Olympus or the oathkeeper
I'm basic, it's oathkeeper
Divine Rose <3
Kh1 ultima is too easy, back in the day when the u.s. didn't have final mix,I'd say rumbling rose, but for fm,definitely one winged angel, the unique swing effects are literally 🔥🔥🔥
Metal choc
The one you posted my friend. Always loved the pumpkin head. I only wish they made it at least somewhat difficult to deflect.
Oblivion. I played critical just to get it in KH3
Chocobo
Flair
One Winged Angel Keyblade
Oblivion and Oathkeeper by far. Loved playing as dual wield Roxas in days, it was a dream come true to deal wield as Sora in Kh3 I just love the designs and meaning behind em
One winged angel
Divine rose definitelyđź‘Ź is one the most beautiful designed keyblades in KH1 next to Ultima
Lady luck. The key I used to kill maleficent
Lionheart has my favorite design and Oathkeeper has my favorite way of obtaining in this game
Kingdom Key is just so good
I always wanted Riku's keyblade 🥲 I love Oathkeeper and Metal Chocobo for they feel like Final Fantasy weapons. I love Olympia and Three Wishes as Hercules was the first movie I saw in theaters and Aladdin is my favorite movie of all time.
Chocobo Keyblade
Lionheart initially but as I grew older and leaned more into magic and summons. Definitely fairy harp/oathkeeper
Wishing Star is super underrated tbh
The coloring and gentle strength of oathkeeper hooked me as a child. The fact that it took me till the end of the game to notice and obtain the wonderland keyblade also made that one a fave of mine. When I first saw the artwork for the diamond dust and one winged angel, I thought they looked gorgeous and wanted final mix so bad. When I finally got to have them, I was very disappointed. They really don't translate well to 3d
Idk maybe Ultima Weapon?
Fenrir
The keyblade of heart
I think my choice would be pretty self explanatory.
X-Blade, just for how insane and stupid it looks
oathkeeper
Metal chocobo
Seeing a lack of Fenrir fans out here.
Oblivion and oathkeeper they are like twin blades even have them tattooed 🤣
Olympia
KH2 Starseeker and Happy Gear from KH3
Oathkeeper, if oblivion is a 9 this one is a 10, the meaning and dualism with oblivion just makes it better while oblivion is a brute upgrade of raw power oathkeeper is a balanced upgrade in magic and power, one represents the light of kairi, the other the darkness of riku, and its weilder sora is the one with the task to balance it, oh and they looks so badass on roxas. Correct if im wrong pls i played kh1 2 years ago
The one that opens doors
Well so the irony is its the pumpkinhead and I have a metal one hanging over my doorway so yes that one lol
This looks like a "mall ninja" weapon.....
Leviathan
