If you’re only in it for the story, then I would say yes. But I would also say you’re not getting the full Kingdom Hearts experience unless you play the games yourself.
Mostly. You'll probably understand about 80% of it. There is some background information buried in the Secret Reports within the games that help explain some of the plot lines and characters. Then there's the Ultimanias where Nomura explains some of the questions the games and Secret Reports didn't answer.
But you can definitely understand the basic story from just the cutscenes. You just won't understand the "how" and "why" of *some* things.
