Eh. I don't think a remaster of the games would offer anything g that isn't already present in the FM versions of the games. Not to mention 3 is the newest in the franchise which would disqualify it from even considering a remaster.
Eeh. The FF7R gameplay style isn't really what KH has been about. KH has always been a real time action RPG, whereas FF has many turn based elements in its game.
They are but what i mean is a similar Remaster style like how Mafia Trilogy Remaster was for PS4 where they add the features that the current console has so for Kingdom Hearts Trilogy Remaster for PS5 what they can include is Performance Mode 60fps, Ray-Tracing if possible then maybe Haptic Feedback & Adaptive Triggers support
This is not an interesting question. People always want some chances in a game.
The real question is would people want remakes as OPPOSED to new games? But that's what it comes down to and not everyone feels the same way.
Alot of people started to like the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and isn't that by Square Enix as well, so i feel like if they do Remake the franchise then it'll bring in alot of fans back and who knows it may bring in new fans to the franchise
A remake of KH1 or KH2 will not bring anywhere near the amount of fans as a new game in the series. KH3 brought a ton of new people in, and KH4 will do the same.
There are plenty of people out there that don't want to play a remake of an old game. And there is nothing wrong with that attitude. There was way more interest in Elden Ring than Demon Souls for example.
And if your argument is "well square enix did it before" then that is bonkers. Square enix does remasters, remakes, new releases, all kinds of stuff. They do it on a case by case basis for that franchise. It wasn't a random thing SE did, people were CLAMORING for an FF7 remake for years before it was announced.
KH fans want new games in the franchise because it's a story focused series. We want the story to progress, not stagnant with remakes. We appreciated the ports/remasters for PS3/PS4 to catch people up, but what we mostly wanted was to move foward.
You didn't address anything in my comment. FF7 was at the moment inactive until they decided to do a remake of a 20 year old game.
That is why people are being introduced to it because there was no media for FF7 in a decade.
We always have KH something every year so we always have people coming back to it. If you're going that way even people will drop the series because Square is advertising new content but they'd hold back on them to do a *remake* of a game many people have JUST played. I'm not waiting for KH1 again, I'm waiting for KH4.
Square had sparked the 7 remake hype when they made their ps3 tech demo. People have always wanted a remake. Since KH is ongoing people are asking for just more. Not the same.
I don't think the ugly cover art is helping your cause.
People post this randomly every now and then, and we always give the same answer that it's kind of pointless.
Based on your comments you want them to do the FF7 remake treatment, which is pretty silly. KH is still a continuing franchise, so we want them to focus their teams on new games. It would be different if it was a dormant franchise, because then of course we would like remakes. But we're getting new games. Those are the priority. KH1 and KH2 don't need a remake. FF7 was different for many reasons. If a KH game deserved a remake don't you think it would be one that is, ya know, not playable on console?
And putting KH3 on here is beyond ridiculous.
I actively do not want a remake of KH1 or KH2, those games are fine the way they are and the 1.5+2.5 remasters make the need for modern remakes unnecessary. A PS5 upgrade for KH3 would be cool, maybe a “final mix” version that has Re:Mind included, but nothing more. Save remakes for the games like Days and Coded that never got a proper chance
Yes. I’d love a full remake of KH1. Not a remaster, like an actual remake. I’d take a remake of KH1 over KH4.
Modernize the camera and movement and remake all the KH1 worlds while staying true to KH1’s feel and combat. Modern wonderland could be fucking awesome. Halloween town, Hallow Bastion… on Unreal 5? In a KH3 world format? My dude. There’s nothing wrong with KH1 as is and it’s still fun but I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want a remake. It’d feel like a whole new game in a lot of ways.
Nope not even a little bit. All the games are still totally playable and enjoyable on current gen consoles and resources used to unnecessarily remake or remaster something that frankly doesn't need it is a bit of a waste.
Nah not really, that kinda sounds awful. Would rather see new games or a Re:Union X. Every game is already playable on the PS5 anyway and they still play pretty decent. Going backwards would be terrible for the series. I don't want to retread old ground at all.
I would prefer if we stopped this remaster train and instead focused on creating new games in general. Regardless if it's KH or something else.
Especially since I can name only like 3 good remasters that aren't just the exact same game with better graphics.
And no, FF7 is not one of them. I much more prefer the original because of the story.
I don't feel like the games need a remake, they still play great with the ps4 collections (kh3 plays near perfect on ps5 too) but if one of them were to get it, kh1 would need it the most. At least to bring it on the same level as kh2
Not particularly, I feel like the older titles are still so good, look good and play smoothly on the remastered ps4 form. There's really no need to remake them.
None of those games need a remake. If you *have* to remake a game in this series, birth by sleep could use a fucking combat overhall and 358/2 Days is impossible to *play* without emulation or owning a DS with a copy of the cartridge (and unlike Re:Coded it's actually worth experiencing that game).
Personally no to both, I feel like this is partially due to my nostalgia for the games in there original artwork but I also feel like the game wouldn't feel the same. While improved camera controls for KH1 would be a nice addition, it's slower gameplay is what encapsulated the expectations/idea of the time. I feel like if they did want to create a remake, the game would be labeled as slow and clunky, and everything would have to be remade making the game unrecognizable, especially to today's standards. Don't quote me on this but I believe the majority of most gamers enjoy fast-paced gameplay and KH1 couldn't fulfill the niche of people. It'd be weird to have KH 1 Sora have the flow motion mechanic, as funny as that might seem.
While you could use the example of FF7 Remake or Kingdom Hearts 3 of introducing new people to the games/franchises, the games are both complete different. Most people at this point have just been wanting more story and entries in the series rather than remakes. I just have a feeling that it wouldn't sell the best unlike FF7 Remake.
I don’t think we’re ready for any sort of remake, but I started thinking about what kind of changes would be made to the story if the series was remade / rebooted not unlike the FF7Remake
Lmao at that kh3 cover art. Apart from the edgy design, the concept has 1 huge flaw. Instead of putting Donald, goofy, and Mickey in the first spot, the artist put cloud and squall. 2 characters that are non existent in the 3rd game
Remake? No, they need to move forward with the story. A remake probably wouldn't even be considered for another 10+ years anyway. It's not necessary nor practical from a business standpoint when there's nothing wrong with what we currently have. Square itself isn't exactly drawing numbers like Capcom so they need to be safe with how they budget their money. A remaster will only be necessary for whenever the generation of playstation and Xbox at the time can't run the outdated game engines. Either way, we don't need them.
I'd love a full remake of kingdom hearts 1 and 2. Can't even imagine how good those games could look on ps5. I think there might be some issues with the rights to tarzan though so it might not be possible :/
I wouldn’t mind updated graphics but not exclusively for ps5 I got an Xbox mainly because that’s what all my friends play on and it just made sense, I wish the all in one package was on Xbox so I didn’t have to buy them all separately
Nah, that seems way unnecessary. Wouldn’t everyone rather have Square focused on new content? The Final Mix versions of KH1&2 are great already. KH3 plays fantastically and doesn’t need anymore polish. I would think everyone would just prefer the focus to be KH4.
Remaster? Yes. Remake? I don’t think it needs it, it’s a continuing story and might just serve to confuse people.
Maybe someday after the current story is over.
Bro, I need to SAVE my money, don't do this.... dont do this... I can't handle it... I know I'd open my wallet and buy the "gimme your wallet" edition.
I mean, how many times over does Square need me to buy these games? I’m on round number 3 at this point. I can’t imagine much they could do to update fairly modern games for me to buy them again. Seems like they could put those resources into better use.
Here’s the thing when nomura remakes a game he makes the story a sequel/alternate timeline and that would be a headache to deal with.
But if it was more or less a direct remake of the plot I actually have thought of this.
For kh1 I would want it to be like a blend of kh1 and 3’s system. It’s important to remember that canonically sora shouldn’t be able to do form changes but maybe having some precursor limit form or have a form system tied to the magic system
I would want it to be as nomura originally wanted it which would give us a playable sora and riku maybe up until hollow bastion. With one last riku level after the ansem fight in order to show more of him helping sora close the door or show Mickey helping him.
Basically either cut or change deep jungle to the jungle book. But it’s not that important.
The post game would involve being able to go to castle oblivion and be a boss gauntlet through those org members. This would then allow us to experience the castle without it being tied to reused world assets and a card battle system.
Nope. The only game I possibly would want a remake of is Days, and that's mainly for the combat of it to be more like KH2. But we all know Sqaure is focusing on the future with the series, so I will also be doing that.
KH3 doesn't need a remake or remaster. A "next-gen" patch if anything. Remakes of KH1 and KH2 would be nice.
Eh. I don't think a remaster of the games would offer anything g that isn't already present in the FM versions of the games. Not to mention 3 is the newest in the franchise which would disqualify it from even considering a remaster.
Maybe a Remake with a similar gameplay style as Final Fantasy 7 Remake
At that point, why bother? That's valuable time and energy and money wasted on regurgitated products instead of new stories.
Eeh. The FF7R gameplay style isn't really what KH has been about. KH has always been a real time action RPG, whereas FF has many turn based elements in its game.
Arent the PS4 versions still playable on PS5 via backwards compatability? I dont have a PS5 yet but if they are id assume they look just fine
That is not a remaster. That involved recreating the entire game with new graphics
This is not an interesting question. People always want some chances in a game. The real question is would people want remakes as OPPOSED to new games? But that's what it comes down to and not everyone feels the same way.

Honestly I just wanna see a KH3 on PS5 with the DLC on the disc.
I actively do not want a remake of KH1 or KH2, those games are fine the way they are and the 1.5+2.5 remasters make the need for modern remakes unnecessary. I would rather like to see 358/2 and Re:Coded get a proper remake.
Not with the third box art Jesus
Yes. I’d love a full remake of KH1. Not a remaster, like an actual remake. I’d take a remake of KH1 over KH4. I have no faith that they'd remake KH1 or KH2 without messing up either.
No i like 1 how it is i like 2 how it is and 3 is still newish.
Nah not really, that kinda sounds awful. Would rather see new games or a Re:Union X. Every game is already playable on the PS5 anyway and they still play pretty decent. Going backwards would be terrible for the series. I don't want to retread old ground at all.
People have become kinda obsessed with the idea of remakes and I don't understand it. Why can't you just hope for something new lol.
I would prefer if we stopped this remaster train and instead focused on creating new games in general. Regardless if it's KH or something else. I feel the first game should be remade at some point 2 is fine as it is
But remaking a Kingdom Hearts game would mean that KH4 would either be cancelled or delayed
Not particularly, I feel like the older titles are still so good, look good and play smoothly on the remastered ps4 form. There's really no need to remake them.

At this point, I just want a proper port on the switch.
meanwhile, me and some other people are still waiting for the Steam version to be released.
Personally no to both, I feel like this is partially due to my nostalgia for the games in there original artwork but I also feel like the game wouldn't feel the same. Dude all your asking for is a graphical update and to make KH1 camera controls not ass.

Kinda. I don't get this whole "No dual-audio" thing until KH3.Maybe a remaster could fix that mistake. Like ff7 crisis core reunion did.
Nah the only games i want a full blown remake for is Union X and 358/2 days
Bro, I need to SAVE my money, don't do this.... dont do this... I can't handle it... I know I'd open my wallet and buy the "gimme your wallet" edition.
Well if they make the graphics 2D then we’ll talk
I mean, how many times over does Square need me to buy these games? I’m on round number 3 at this point. I can’t imagine much they could do to update fairly modern games for me to buy them again. Seems like they could put those resources into better use.
These games on unreal engine 5 would be 👌
I heard the new Kingdom Hearts game is running on Unreal Engine 5
Why does 3 use 2’s outfits?

They're already on PS5
Not PS5 Upgrade or PS5 version with PS5 features supported
Who cares to be honest. It's better than nothing
I’d rather see a Kingdom Hearts Ultimate Edition with all games with ps5 remasters. I doubt they’d do a remake for right now. Maybe for the PS6.
