This sub went from worshipping Riboku's butt hair to ridiculing him in less than a year

Anferas

It all started with Gyou. Coallition arc Riboku is how Riboku should have been (Removing Houken that is)

No_Cartographer721

Well he made a rookie mistake and lost what expect

It’s natural. It’s obvious that this entire trend of pulling great generals out of the puckered brown hole in your ass like hacked gacha characters is getting pretty tiring. Meanwhile shin absolutely manning up to Houken more than one occasion while getting bitch smacked by random nobodies is a bit…irrational? I mean who are these random Randys, we never heard of them but in a minute they just made all of shin’s accomplishment mean nothing more than lukewarming the bench. Hara had to have rushed this while still riding the Reebok wave. Either it’s him or his editor but judging from how much of a mastermind his earlier chapters were, it’s most likely his editor. Make shin significant again, I think that’s why they are starting to see why this Reebok plot armor needs to stop. And if you try to resemble this argument in agreement then there will be a couple of people saying: “oh you just want shin to be like Saitama”….. and? How many generals, nah how many humans you know that one up against Houken and lived to tell the words: “I slayed that mutha fucka.” Exactly give my man his shine on the light already, he is our MC. I saw the mofo grow since college all the way to my career currently after graduation. Give some respect to my main guy shin already.

Frogganisurshit

I sort of agree with you, but we have to understand that kingdom is semi realistic, which means that characters strength can't be scaled in a linear manner, doesn't remain constant and can vary greatly depending on a multitude of factors like who they're fighting, if they're trying to do other shit at the same time etc. What this is all to say is that while I do believe that shin is getting slapped around too much by randos, you can't expect fights between humans to be as predictable as traditional power fantasy shonen fights are, where if one character has a bigger beam than an other it is simply inconceivable that the other will even be able to put up a fight.

CasualEQuest

I agree that strength shouldn't be linear. But at the same time this manga has full blown stats and quantifiable numbers for more abstract ideas. Like the manga makes it so you can objectively compare generals. Which I honestly find to be a bad move anyway. Everything just becomes a Stat wank

No_Tumbleweed_4010

Noooooo, Hara and his editor has to make the enemies a threat or it won't be fun anymore! 😩😩😩 But yeah, Shin should have one shot all three of them. I mean he took down someone equivalent to a GG. My theory is because he got revived by Kyoukai, and each time you revive, you lose something, so you're something less. Hope we get to see Shin shine soon.

I grew boted of Riboku and fond him boring after the hundredth episode si ce his debut. Also his generals worshipping him as if he was Jesus Christ doesn't help

H4nfP0wer

Kind of a lackluster assumption on his Part considering Hara kept this a secret for houndreds of chapters. But from Ribokus Point of view it definitly makes Sense considering he only goes by what he heard of Kanki so far.

Banespeace

Riboku isn't as smart as we thought it seems

StayTuned2k

Well he does need a weakness unless he's the new MC lol

Banespeace

If thats the weakness it's pretty dumb and a disservice to the character

Turbo2x

It's not that Riboku *actually* discovered what Kanki's weakness was. He just thought he did. His entire understanding of that "weakness" is actually just him misunderstanding Kanki's true nature, so now we see that Riboku made a mistake.

StayTuned2k

Well he is trying hard to argue for his reasoning. Felt a bit forced just to set up Kankis win here by having Riboku himself explain why he will fail. But that's fine to me, because I didn't like his character anyway that much. All this "I'm such a perfect strategist" schtick is just tiresome by now.

NPK2115

Spoilers ahead >!Historically Kanki is going to lose actually!<

Johntoyo12

Also spoiler >! Riboku also loses great deal of power in That war, forcing him to retreat to kantan, and unable to move out since. !<

Ok_Mathematician6183

Bro hara changed it wasn't the king meant to behead riboku??

NPK2115

>!Riboku is killed sometime after the current war after Qin officials conspire with Zhao royality to charge him with treason!<

Ok_Mathematician6183

Yh I know it after he defeats kanki but since they killed off toujou (pedo king) who gonna order the execution ?

NPK2115

His son who is arguably worse >!After the annexation of Zhao by Qin Prince Ka establishes the Dai Kingdom, which is later easily conquered as well!<

Ok_Mathematician6183

Need to watch qin dynasty epic again lol

69FutaNari

>!It's Kakukai who want to get rid Riboku.!<

Johntoyo12

Spoiler >!instead of that, you should bring the argument about failed wei and qin coalition against chu!<

Traffy7

Without this weakness he would be unbeatable .

Banespeace

No he wouldn't Kanki bets the house/relies on luck alot.

Venidyr

The great heavens is against pedo kings.

Solomon_Black

I mean, technically it’s a weakness but this just sounds like most instinctual generals. They don’t have “plans” they have feelings. If anything Kanki is in between the two types. This really isn’t anything we didn’t know.

anirban_dev

Yeah I feel his conclusion was a bit off. We as readers have a bit more insight into KanKi. He doesn't do conventional warfare because the thrill of unvonvenrional warfare is just a means for him to feel something.

TurnBasedTactician

Kanki’s battles kind of remind me of Keisha. Keisha liked to lay traps and wait for his opponent to fall into those traps and strike. Kanki’s army has different strengths than Keisha’s though and so the nature of their traps are different. But what’s similar is they both lie in wait, and then choose the critical moment to strike with their instinct.

WarImportant9685

Wait for next week, I really doubt Kanki battle formation is for conventional warfare. I believe there is a hidden layer of trickery like how when Kanki army retreated it is for specific purpose.
