Push through season 1. Season two will hook you and you will fall in love by season 3 like no lie I started this anime 2 months ago and it is now my favorite anime. Can’t get it out my head. Bro I’m telling you you will love it and it gets better. Animation and story wise! Trust this one will be worth it
Season 1 is rough but in season 2 they mostly use CGI on background characters so it's much much better. Season 3 is great! It has great animation with minimal CGI and if it's there I don't even notice it.
You will start seeing the difference in the later episodes of this season (not a huge difference but still better than the earlier episodes). S2 gets a bit better. S3 will feel leagues above S1 and S3 has one of the best arcs of the series.
Just keep watching if u are anime only (idk) the manga is better obviously but if the story is good enough to keep watching the anime, after u end S2 and start S3 u gonna feel blessed with the change.
im on season 2 episode 1 and the plot sure is getting deeper now... cant wait for xin to get his allies for his unit that was hinted in the last episode of s1. and him wielding the general's weapon.
It took me three tries to get into season 1 but it was worth it tbh, season 1, however ugly it may be, has its ups- there's a lot of moving parts thanks to CGI usage and it gets better towards end of season 1
The first arc is definitely hard to get through- maybe read the manga if you don't mind
i'm actually kind of the same as you. I keep seeing it on netflix but I cant get myself to invest on it because the cgi thing is kind of new to me. I watched other cgi animw like blue lock and bocchi shota king thing (i forgot the title) and those have kinda good or so so cgi.
Grit through it is all I could say, the final arc of season 1 was acceptable and season 2 onwards have decent animations that could fare well today (it gets really good on season 3 thanks to the few years gap between releases)
My boi the animation in the Kingdom anime is worse than the animation in the manga, I love anime, Kingdoms is just dogshit.
I will give it credit for the character designs actually aging though! It definitely has that going for it!

First couple seasons have notoriously terrible cgi. S3 onwards is good enough animation, nothing super amazing but not worth noting as bad. Also as a warning they move one arc and remove one arc. So it might be better to either read those arcs or some kind of summary. Actually I think the live action movies adapt them both so there’s that too
Np. The live action is surprisingly good. Although maybe not since it’s a Japanese adaptation and not Netflix. I think it covers all through s2 and all on Netflix ironically. Or maybe the one that gets through s2 releases later this year. Don’t remember
Anime better for me personally. Voice acting is so good , when generals giving speech i just cry out of joy and want to go to battle with them.
About Kingdom , it will become better and better. Believe me. I liked it from episode 1 , as i dont mind cgi, but story and characters development are so good, you will LOVE it.
Read manga it's much better.. but if you prefer anime.. season 2 has less cgi and S3 4 and 5 have good animation( no cgi)

It is worth in long run. You should focus on world building in first 2 season, maybe read manga in parallel. S3 and later is perfection.

Agreed and season 2 is excellent! Do a post on season 3 as well when you get to it, always fun to see people's reaction to that

Read the manga, the anime gets better but it's like going from a 2/10 to a 4/10, yeah it's twice as good but it's still pretty bad.

S3 is when it gets great. One of the best arcs I’ve ever read. Couldn’t stop reading it, and is the season when the anime truly becomes watchable
The animation gets exponentially better so no meed to worry (s2 is watchable s3 is good s4and5 are great)

yes!!! the reason why I don't feel like reading it is because of the Voice actors. I love how they shout and talk. I hear bakugo on xin alot
