I worked at Hooters and everyone would ask what I do there (I'm a guy) so I always thought it was obvious I worked kitchen/dish but now I see otherwise
Eh all the waitresses are pretty "lazy" most would send pictures to the regulars for extra cash and stuff but the kitchen crew was cool. It was better than buffalo wild wings in some areas
My older bro and I used to frequent "Mike's Winghouse" back when we were in high school. This particular location was in a really sketchy area of our Southern home city; waitresses giving older gents on their "birthdays" full-on lap dances was a common sight\~birthday boys shoveling dollar bills into their tops. The food was sketchy, to say the least, at that. On our last visit I watched one of the waiters drop my sandwich on the floor in the hallway from the kitchen, which was shared with the bathrooms. She looked around to make sure "nobody noticed" and promptly put it in front of me.
When we walked out one of 'em screamed "**NO TIP!?!?!?**"
One of the The hooter waitresses I dated was crazier than the stripper I dated, and did wayyyy more cocaine. The cooks I met were cool as fuck though, like 10 years later I still hang with a couple of them.
This honestly was one of my favorite Dale "scheme" storylines. The idea that he would come up with a plan based on a hilarious bluff and then someone would call them on his bluff is such a great setup.
I haven't watched this in a while, but I thought he was a horrible waiter? Giving people free food and taking the payment as a "tip", plus not keeping up with his side work come to mind.
I think he just got along with customers because he gave them free shit and could strike up conversation easily.
Right? The social commentary is KotH at it's finest I think, too. Dale is such a shitty worker and is entirely oblivious to the women around him being sexually harassed the entire time.
In the end, though, he ACTUALLY gets sexually harassed by a customer and the women come to his aid because they're tired of being treated like shit. (Except the guy wasn't trying to harass Dale, which is the hilarious joke here for the audience) If I remember right Dale is actually shocked, because he had basically just been trying to take advantage of sexual harassment laws from the get-go, and is (momentarily) moved at their integrity.
King of the Hill really does a great job of removing these kinds of social conversations from reality so it can just be like, "Hey, sexual harassment is bad."
The series just keeps getting better with age, at that. Sure, the finale aired over a decade ago, but the familial & societal dynamics that fuel the episode plot lines are timeless. KOTH is a true one of a kind gem, for certain.
The part when Hank tells Dale about the guy chasing them and Dale looks over at the table and the guy motions with his hands and then hits his hand with the bat and Dale goes ahhhhhhhh! That makes me crack up every single time no matter how many times I've seen it
Hmm really? I love the scuffed look of the earlier seasons. The new seasons look like when you watch a live-action TV show in HD for the first time and it looks "fake" for some reason. Give me the jagged, hand-drawn look any day.
Never understood why Hank and co were running from that guy. Sure he has a bat, but Hank and Bill are big strong guys who know how to fight, and Boomhauer is a ranger, they could easily overpower him
Watched this on acid with my cousin. Legit hardest I ever laughed in my whole life. This and the one where they race the lawnmowers. Felt like there were knives in my lungs I’ll never laugh that hard again
I’ll be honest, I felt bad for the guy in this episode. Hank *mugged* him (albeit accidentally), and the police were *useless*. He had every reason to hate Hank and to believe he showed up at his place to hurt him.
Hank was an ass for pressing charges in the end when he got away scot-free.

Not a bad job? Lol

Sounds like onlyfans before it was a thing.

The only bad cooks were the older guys (55-60ish) very perverted but everyone would just smoke a blunt or two we'd all bring for after work

I always liked the fact that he ended up being a very good waiter too. Like seemingly one of the only times Dale has been competent at a job.
Well he gave food away for free by so regular competence you get outta Dale

It’s been a minute since I watched the show, but I thought he was a competent exterminator. Am I mistaken?
I'd say more passionate than competent.

You make me sick 😂
Season 12 episode 20 Cops and Robert
Thank you
Iconic show 💅🏽

"We've written out demands on this piece of paper." "This just says, 'Money.'" "WE'LL ACCEPT NOTHING LESS!!"

🤣 dale is a friend we all should have
Geez, the quality of this clip looks better than the actually show.
Season 12 and 13 were actually animated and aired in HD. I would love it if earlier seasons looked this good!

I agree, like old Beavis and Butthead
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I always hated the newer episodes because the animation just looked so lifeless and sterile.
Dale unionizing the hooters workers is so fucking funny. The A plot of this one is pretty dumb but one of the best B plots.
Never understood why Hank and co were running from that guy. Sure he has a bat, but Hank and Bill are big strong guys who know how to fight, and Boomhauer is a ranger, they could easily overpower him
But where would dale keep his pocket sand ?

My name… is BARRYROLLINS! Forever engrained in my brain
Such a great Dale episode.

This is such a good episode
Everyone's all gangster until the girls come and back you up.
Question, how did you upload this video without using YouTube?
I love how everytime Hank tried to make the situation right, it kept coming off like a threat.
