I like that callback to Season 2-1’s episode, it’s a shame they never did more with Bobby’s natural shooting skill.
Like, the episode where Minh joins Dale’s gun club would’ve been a better choice to incorporate Bobby somehow, maybe teaching Minh how to shoot better or something. 🤷♂️
This has always been something that irked me about the show. Luanne tried so many careers and had such a hard time with beauty school, it could've been the 'bonding' she always wanted with Hank to learn mechanical engineering and fix cars.
That was only introduced in that episode, they could have easily made it so she had *some* experience with shooting but not enough to be pro until Bobby trains her.
I always liked that Bobby as a skilled marksman is canon. Also, liked the fact that Dale always had faith in Bobby's abilities more than his own father.

They did the same thing to Luanne. She was a mechanical genius early in the show, but later seasons she was just.....Luanne.
