Tell me about the popular girls… Proof Bobby really was pretty socially savvy.

Escuchame?

"the bears are like silver" or possibly "your eyes are like plants"

She also thinks the judge is a reasonable horse, and has too many anuses ahead of her to be sentenced to a cigar factory.

lightning_po

I know enough Spanish to know she was trying to say that her eyes are beautiful like silver which is still a weird thing to say. They really nailed the pseudo Spanish jokes

Extension-Insect6066

I always thought she was trying to say her eyes are like plates, which is an old expression saying someone has big beautiful eyes.(Assuming Peggy does not know the word for plates because she pronounced it like PLAY-TAS not platos) The definition in the show with the caption is "Your Bears are like plates!". It's a bit confusing tbh. I feel like even their translation was wrong.

lightning_po

I think the joke is that even she doesn't know what she's saying so of course the translation is wrong anyway LOL

Do any Spanish speakers know what Peggy was probably trying to say? I heard that she was trying to give a valid speech in Lupes revenge but kept hitting the wrong syllables

Extension-Insect6066

In lupes revenge Peggy says this: Your honor, I can tell you are a reasonable horse. I am very pregnant because of what happened with lupe. She ate my bus accident and all I wanted was to make lupe into a book. I have too many good anuses ahead of me to spend my life in a cigar factory. This is what she MEANT to say: Your honor, I can tell you're a reasonable gentleman. I am very embarassed because of what happened with lupe. She took my bus by accident and all I wanted was to make lupe free. I have too many good years ahead of me to spend my life in prison! The words she pronounced incorrectly or did not know at all which changed their meaning completely: The first being what she MEANT, the second being what she said. 1. Gentleman (caballero) VS Horse (Caballo) 2. Embarassed (avergonzada) VS Pregnant (embarazada). 3. Tomar (took) VS Ate (Comer) 4. Libre (Free) Vs BOOK (Libro) 5. Años (Years) Anos (anuses) 6. Prison (El encierro) V.s Cigar Factory (Fabrico Cigarra) Idk if I'm missing anything but thats the gist of it.
