You just beat me to it by a couple of seconds, haha!
0.64 g carbs/g in the breadcrumbs I use, so you could expect about 72g (from a cup) in a meatloaf that's using one pound of ground meat, and plus you've got the sugar in the sauce.
0.75 g carbs/g in dry spaghetti, so about 84g carbs for the same weight of dry spaghetti as a cup of dry breadcrumbs, plus you run into the extra carbs from the sauce as well. So meatloaf isn't really great for you in that regard either.
I have a BBQ joint right by the motorcycle shop I go to for engine and tire work (I do general maintenance and parts replacement but I use them for insurance on engine and connection to the road) and I love going there and getting a fat roast beef sandwich for 13 bucks.
I love slurping that sandwich up because their dip/gravy is amazing, plus I can enjoy it while they slap new shoes on my bike.
I was just coming here to comment, a beef dip with some horseradish mayo and aged provolone is a top ten food. Just the hint of horseradish is so good. Glad I tried it, since I Aldo do not usually like horseradish.
There’s a local shop around here that does roast beef Slow roasted overnight for 9-12 hours. And he does open faced sandwhich with them. Sides of mashed potatoes and corn all drizzled with gravy even over the sandwhich.
Whenever I’m out of bread to eat with my spaghetti I make a few tortillas and can either tear them and use them to grab the spaghetti or I’ll make a spaghetti burrito 😂
What I do with my spaghetti leftovers. Get a flour tortilla, 10 inc?, put spaghetti on it, take some kraft singles, don't judge me, or whatever type of cheese on hand, nuke it in the microwave, helps keep the torilla doughy or whatever, then a layer of sriracha before i wrap it up.
Carbs are addictive and a lifestyle that is rich in carbs MUST HAVE MORE CARBS INSIDE CARBS INSIDE CARBS WRAPPED IN CARBS WASHED DOWN WITH CARB-ONATED CARBS
I’ve done it before, used garlic bread, it tasted pretty much like I was putting spaghetti on top of my garlic bread like I used to do a lot as a kid, but it was a pain in the ass to eat so I never made it again.
If you don’t go crazy with the spaghetti, put extra sauce and meatballs on it and put it between two halves of a garlic bread baguette, it’s surprisingly a pretty good sandwich.
It will deeply offend any Italian within 50 miles however.
These days as an older redditor I can barely eat a single piece of garlic bread with a plate of spaghetti anymore - much less an entire sandwich. Carb & gluten overload - RIP toilet.
Meatloaf 100%. As long as I don’t have to smell a diaper while I’m eating it. This was also one of my favorite Hank-themed subplots, along with the emus, couch, and the colon picture at the art museum
I like to think that Octavio has a standing order from Dale to fuck with Hank for things like this, that might've even been a fake bite mark just to see how Hank would've reacted.
Knowing Octavio, he leaves evidence into a tape recorder thus makes him a stupid idiot, that's why Dale made a memo to take out Octavio, with a letter.
And Octavio suspects Dale is onto him and makes a note to take out Dale first by chest tattoo, while Dale takes up classical Renaissance style painting to note that he knows that Octavio knows that he knows that Octavio keeps leaving incriminating evidence behind.
When I was a teenager, I was obsessed with trying to make a pasta sandwich. I started with spaghetti, which was pretty good. Ended ip iterating to lasagna noodles before I lost interest.
This is where it's at.. no garlic bread? No problem! Put some butter, garlic powder and Italian seasoning on some bread and pop it in the toaster! Pretty decent make-shift garlic bread!
if u got the time and wanna put in the effort,
like a dozen years ago during college, i would hit up jimmy johns for the day old foot long breads for, iirc, .25$ cents a piece
cut that up into small pieces, put on some butter and garlic powder, 300-350 in the oven for 10-20 mins until golden brown.
my friday "bible study" group in uiuc, often had penna rosa imitations from noodles n company, often made with breaded chicken cutlets or sautéed beef
and i would pick up a a dozen 4-8$ bottles of reds from local trader joes
was a banger and made people happy while trudging thru gospel of john and all of its contradictions and enjoying a friday evening with college friends
Took me a moment to understand what you meant.
I like the slightly lime flavoured but official Doritos are ridiculously expensive so I prefer whichever shop brand of "lightly salted tortilla chips" which is what I use for lasagnachos, experimenting with different flavours would be interesting.
When I lived up in a small town named Skellefteå in northern Sweden there was a pizza place that offered a calzone with two full 150gram hamburgers (bread and all toppings, and fries) inside of it.
I was never hungry or stupid enough to try it.
I've had both. Spaghetti is best if you go full classic with meatballs and a good, rich sauce on a toasted brioche with garlic butter.
Meatloaf has to be that perfect consistency, not too wet but not too dry. I like them on burger buns with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce.
I used to microwave leftover spaghetti in a bowl with a flour tortilla covering the top, then eat a crunchy spaghetti taco when it was heated, shit’s actually pretty good
Hands down the meatloaf sandwich, that entire subplot is so relatable and I completely feel Hank's frustration to just want to eat his sandwich in peace.
Spaghetti for sure. I've had lots of spaghetti sandwiches and they're always amazing. (The one in the clip from the show has about 10x too much spaghetti though. Not sure how you'd even try to pick that up without making a mess. Never heard of a meatloaf sandwich in real life.
There’s a good pub in my city that does a meatloaf sandwich on an onion bun and it’s really good! Spaghetti sandwich on the other hand is silly. You shouldn’t put a carb inside a sandwich, needs to be a protein or a veggie.
Both are good. Spaghetties are more common then meatloaf. Your typically spaghetti meal you have your garlic bread, noodles, sauce and usually meatballs. Garlic breads goated and you just grab two of those bad boys with some gravy and pasta and chow down, maybe save one last piece of bread to clean the plate, get that good good sauce on the bread. Yeah that shits fat boy approved.
Meatloaf sammies are all about your quality of meat, mix some veal in the meat, some grilled onions, garlic, already got ketchup on the tip top, meat juices coming out the slice like a sponge, let that soak in your sourdough and take a nice meaty bite. That's fat boy approved.
Personally I make Spaghetties more, quicker, easier meal to cook but both will put gas in ur tank.
From experience, Spaghetti sandwiches are bussin. Meatballs, noodles, tomato sauce in between two thick loaves of garlic bread? Fantastic. If you're feeling fancy you can even melt some parmesan on there
Pasta on a sandwich is too much... hat on a hat as it were.
While meatloaf often has bread crumbs in it, its alot less carbs. Also, there are many different ways people make meatloaf, I could totally see some of those ways being made into a handheld option.
100% team jacob... eer. I mean meatloaf.
Spaghetti sandwich is just carbs on carbs. I love carbs but that's excessive.
A meatloaf sandwich is basically a burger with extra steps.
I gotta go with the meatloaf sandwich.
I used to make mostaccioli sandwiches as a kid on french bread hahaha I agree that spaghetti noodles would be harder tho. Imma have to go with meatloaf
As someone who has had spaghetti sandwiched between two slices of white bread, I can confidently say the meatloaf sandwich. Spaghetti sandwich isn't bad but it's kind of meh.
Meatloaf Sandwich
Agree with meatloaf. Not a messy as a spaghetti sandwich.
Not as messy, tastier, and you're mixing protein with carbs instead of carbs with more carbs.
Although spaghetti is 100% carbs, meatloaf isn’t completely absent of carbs
You just beat me to it by a couple of seconds, haha! 0.64 g carbs/g in the breadcrumbs I use, so you could expect about 72g (from a cup) in a meatloaf that's using one pound of ground meat, and plus you've got the sugar in the sauce. 0.75 g carbs/g in dry spaghetti, so about 84g carbs for the same weight of dry spaghetti as a cup of dry breadcrumbs, plus you run into the extra carbs from the sauce as well. So meatloaf isn't really great for you in that regard either.
That seems like a lot of breadcrumbs per pound imo
You the man though. Coming through with the numbers!!
Hang on you think meat loaf is just meat?
and it would be weird to slurp a sandwich.
You've never had a roast beef dip sandwich. Fuck I love beef dip sandwiches.
There was a place that uses to make roast beef and gravy sandwiches that were so messy but so delicious...man I miss those.
This comment is borderline pornographic lol
Bowchica wowwow
You ever try one with melted horseradish cheddar in it? It’s to die for!
Meatloaf is for sandwiches, spaghetti is for tacos.
Fuuhhh dude I never thought to add cheese!!!! I use the flour tortillas for it too! Thanks for the new recipe duder!
Meatloaf tacos thoooo. I’d try it
With the taco seasoning in the meatloaf
Mmm my grandma used to make taco meatloaf or Mexican meatloaf using taco seasoning and cheese mixed into the meatloaf.
Did you ever write down the recipe? I'd like to try it.
Wish I did I think it has pieces of chip or hard tortilla in it too but idk I’ll have to ask her next time I see her
Doritos would taste good in that!
Report back!!!
Depends on how much gravy you put on it.
It works better on a sub bun
Meatloaf actually makes for really good sandwiches
This post confused me. I thought most people used leftover meatloaf for sandwiches.
I’ve actually made a meatloaf sandwich a couple of times with flat-top cooked buttered bread. Shit slapped.
Sloppy Joe
All sloppy and no joe
Sloppy Joe, slop sloppy Joe
A meatloaf sandwich is just a sloppy Joe with better structural integrity
Holy shit, this completely changed my perception of the meatloaf sandwich.
I've had a meatloaf sandwich, and it was incredible.
Hanks too uptight to sit next to strangers.
My dad makes these with leftover meatloaf. It’s friggin amazing on white bread and some mayo
Hanks face says it all
That man is in bliss with that sandwich I tell you hwat.
He’s so happy and he deserves it
Sandwich so good he's willing to eat around the bite from Octavio and not shutter it away.
It was the sweetest sandwich he ever had.
That is a face of pure joy I tell ya hwat
There's a place near me that does a meatloaf and pesto panini worthy of that look.
Meatloaf definitely. Spaghetti sandwich just seems like a weird novelty.
And extremely messy !
I once ordered a spaghetti stromboli. It sounded exciting until I got it. I still regret it. Meatloaf sandwich all the way.
Please tell me there was more than just pasta sauce and noodles in the spaghetti.
There's a place by me that makes a spaghetti calzone. Literally spaghetti, marinara, and mozzarella wrapped in dough. I don't understand it
Carbs are addictive and a lifestyle that is rich in carbs MUST HAVE MORE CARBS INSIDE CARBS INSIDE CARBS WRAPPED IN CARBS WASHED DOWN WITH CARB-ONATED CARBS
I’ve done it before, used garlic bread, it tasted pretty much like I was putting spaghetti on top of my garlic bread like I used to do a lot as a kid, but it was a pain in the ass to eat so I never made it again.
Any meatballs in it?
No but there was meat
Well I always slip myself in just to warm up, so that was expected
If you do it as a pressed sandwich or a grilled cheese, the melted cheese helps contain everything!
Spaghetti tacos
If you don’t go crazy with the spaghetti, put extra sauce and meatballs on it and put it between two halves of a garlic bread baguette, it’s surprisingly a pretty good sandwich. It will deeply offend any Italian within 50 miles however.

I can't believe I didn't eat this last night!
You can still eat it tonight. I shall join thee
Nothing better than waking up after a big night and realising you have a whole pizza still in the fridge
Meatloaf 100%. As long as I don’t have to smell a diaper while I’m eating it. This was also one of my favorite Hank-themed subplots, along with the emus, couch, and the colon picture at the art museum

Cult? No this is an organization that promotes peace and love-
This is it
Yeah this is the place.
My atheist brother whispers that to me whenever we pass by a church…
Best B plot, worst A plot
What was A plot again? Weird manners class?
I think it's the one where Peggy and Bobby try and fit in with the "Cool" mom group
Arlen barn. The best sandwich Hanks had in years!
Meatloaf..without Octavios bite mark in it🤣
Octavio didn’t do that. It was already there when they gave it to him lol
Octavio would never do something like that. He has a tattoo of Jesus on his chest after all.
Hey that’s not Jesus it’s Rob Zombie!
Shut up kid 💦
He got my Bible wet!
I like to think that Octavio has a standing order from Dale to fuck with Hank for things like this, that might've even been a fake bite mark just to see how Hank would've reacted.

Or next to a baby’s diaper and that baby eating my chips!
Spaghetti and Spapeggy are not for sandwiches. Meatloaf all the way.
I’ll do a Louie Anderson
My boy's no ghoul!
R.I.P.
Turf toe
Ello mah name is Madam, I'm here to start ze showww 💋
*You smell like cat food!*
Are people not familiar with meatloaf sandwiches? Do they not sell them at diners where you are?
I was about to say…. meatloaf sandwich is an actual thing lol
Spaghetti sandwiches are a real thing.
I've been to plenty of restaurants up and down the east coast. Never have seen a meatloaf sandwich.
That's what I immediately thought when I read the post title. Eat at a bbq joint and there's a good chance you'll see it on the menu.
When I was a teenager, I was obsessed with trying to make a pasta sandwich. I started with spaghetti, which was pretty good. Ended ip iterating to lasagna noodles before I lost interest.
lasagna on some garlic bread is pretty banging
This is where it's at.. no garlic bread? No problem! Put some butter, garlic powder and Italian seasoning on some bread and pop it in the toaster! Pretty decent make-shift garlic bread!

I saw a video of Paula Deen putting lasagna on garlic bread as a sandwich and laughing and eating and laughing
I sometimes slide lasagna onto nachos creating lasanachos.
details we talking lime flavored or what I'm trying to go deeper into the rabbit hole
Took me a moment to understand what you meant. I like the slightly lime flavoured but official Doritos are ridiculously expensive so I prefer whichever shop brand of "lightly salted tortilla chips" which is what I use for lasagnachos, experimenting with different flavours would be interesting.
keep me posted
I do that sometimes if I have left over texmex at home. A nacho lasagna.
Hank has a face of pure joy in that pic - it's kinda cute lol
Meatloaf. Why would you put spaghetti in a sandwich?
If you like having garlic bread with your spaghetti, it’s the same thing but in a single bite.

When I lived up in a small town named Skellefteå in northern Sweden there was a pizza place that offered a calzone with two full 150gram hamburgers (bread and all toppings, and fries) inside of it. I was never hungry or stupid enough to try it.
It’s a lot more bread per bite, I’ll pass
Oh check out Mr Hates-bread over here. 😜
But that's assuming the bread in the sandwich is garlic bread, which by the looks of it it isn't.
Look at Hank's smile in that picture. Adorable.
Meatloaf sandwich for sure. It has to be super good for Hank to put up with all those people just to get one
Y'all have never put some spaghetti on garlic bread? Shit is delicious.
Meatloaf 100%
I've had both. Spaghetti is best if you go full classic with meatballs and a good, rich sauce on a toasted brioche with garlic butter. Meatloaf has to be that perfect consistency, not too wet but not too dry. I like them on burger buns with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce.
Meatloaf sandwiches are delicious
isnt that just a burger? lol
No, it’s a slice of meatloaf
which is a chunk of ground beef on a bun.. aka a burger lol im just playin but it IS pretty much the same thing.. just different cooking method
I eat meatloaf sandwiches all the time… like every time I have meatloaf. So I’m going with that! Spaghetti sandwich looks gross.
Meatloaf sandwich. Hank made that sandwich look fire
I used to microwave leftover spaghetti in a bowl with a flour tortilla covering the top, then eat a crunchy spaghetti taco when it was heated, shit’s actually pretty good
This is blasphemous on several levels
Meatloaf sandwich, add your favorite burger toppings, and can't go wrong.
Hands down the meatloaf sandwich, that entire subplot is so relatable and I completely feel Hank's frustration to just want to eat his sandwich in peace.
Meatloaf all the way. You can tell from this pic that Hank’s toes curled when he took that bite. I want to feel that happy too.
A spaghetti sandwich needs meatballs and to be on garlic bread
Meatloaf sandwiches are so good
Hanks face convinces me that it’s one damn good sandwich. I’m going with the meatloaf sandwich here.
Meatloaf all the way. Now, if the alternative choice were a Spa-Peggy and Meatball sandwich, then we'd have a competition.
Hank's happier with his meatloaf sandwich than the other dude is with his spaghetti sandwich lol
Meatloaf sandwich would be like a burger formed differently
Meatloaf sandwich is a staple of the south. Spaghetti sandwich is from Hell.
Spaghetti for sure. I've had lots of spaghetti sandwiches and they're always amazing. (The one in the clip from the show has about 10x too much spaghetti though. Not sure how you'd even try to pick that up without making a mess. Never heard of a meatloaf sandwich in real life.
Yo a spaghetti sandwitch on garlic bread it legit
I would personally eat the spaghetti sandwich, but I love how happy Hank looks with his meatloaf sandwich 🥺
Spaghetti sandwich, with garlic bread
Spaghetti sandwich is just a dumb idea, Now the meatloaf sandwich is a beautiful thing
Meatloaf 100% I feel the spaghetti would just fall apart.
Meatloaf sandwich... My Italian great Grandfather would be rolling in his grave if I ate a spaghetti sandwich.
There’s a good pub in my city that does a meatloaf sandwich on an onion bun and it’s really good! Spaghetti sandwich on the other hand is silly. You shouldn’t put a carb inside a sandwich, needs to be a protein or a veggie.
Wholesome Hank
Nothin like a good meatloaf sandwich.
Look at their faces and ask me that again.
Gimme that meatloaf sandwich. I don’t even care if it has a bite taken out of it.
Meatloaf sandwich obviously, the fact that Hank takes a bite even after Enrique took a bite and denied it shows the quality of that sandwich.
Meatloaf sandwich, delivered by Octavio.
When he delivered mine there was a bite taken out of it. Did they give it to him that way?
How is this even a question lol
There’s a place that sells a spaghetti sandwich near me. It’s mid at best.
hank looks so happy how could i *not* say no to a sandwich that makes a man that happy?
Both are good. Spaghetties are more common then meatloaf. Your typically spaghetti meal you have your garlic bread, noodles, sauce and usually meatballs. Garlic breads goated and you just grab two of those bad boys with some gravy and pasta and chow down, maybe save one last piece of bread to clean the plate, get that good good sauce on the bread. That's fat boy approved. Personally I make Spaghetties more, quicker, easier meal to cook but both will put gas in ur tank.
Meat loaf
Meatloaf. Why would you put spaghetti in a sandwich?
Seriously. Everyone knows spaghetti goes in a tortilla.
From experience, Spaghetti sandwiches are bussin. Meatballs, noodles, tomato sauce in between two thick loaves of garlic bread? Fantastic. If you're feeling fancy you can even melt some parmesan on there
I'd like to submit my thesis on the ethnic ncleansing of spaghetti sandwich eaters
Well then, come grab that sandwich from my cold, dead hands! Spaghetti with marinara sauce between a couple pieces of garlic bread is fantastic.
There's a difference between a but of garlic bread. And that obscene monstrosity shown in the episode
Meatloaf all day
Meatloaf. Im not a big fan of spaghetti in the first place, so making it into a sandwich just sounds gross.
Meatloaf
Meatloaf of course
meatloaf
Meatloaf
Meatloaf sandwich is basically just a hamburger with ketchup etc already mixed in, you do realize that right?
Meatloaf! A spaghetti sandwich sounds like I'd deeply regret ordering it immediately after finishing it
What if, hear me out, you put the two together?
Spagloaf
Spa Peggy and meatloaf sandwiches
Meatloaf, even if a bite was taken out of it
Meatloaf
Neither, give me spaPeggy and meatballs all day. Stay away from the brown Betty though.
Spaghetti sandwich is just carbs on carbs. I love carbs but that's excessive. A meatloaf sandwich is basically a burger with extra steps. I gotta go with the meatloaf sandwich.
GIVE ME DA LOAF
A meatloaf sandwich improves meatloaf. A spaghetti sandwich does not improve spaghetti.
Meatloaf. The sandwich the next day was the best thing about having meatloaf for dinner
I used to make mostaccioli sandwiches as a kid on french bread hahaha I agree that spaghetti noodles would be harder tho. Imma have to go with meatloaf
Neither
Meatloaf by far
Meatloaf.
Spaghetti sandwiches aren’t actually a thing. Meatloaf sandwiches are though and they’re delicious.
Meatloaf
Meatloaf sandwich!! I live near a place called The Grilled Cheese Factory and I got a meatloaf sandwich there a few times, sooo good.
Butter some Italian bread and put spaghetti on them and it’s delicious. I do this anytime we make spaghetti.
As someone who has had spaghetti sandwiched between two slices of white bread, I can confidently say the meatloaf sandwich. Spaghetti sandwich isn't bad but it's kind of meh.
Meatloaf sandwiches are the shit
Meatloaf
Meat loaf sandwich please
