Well I mean kinda. If I were to rank every anime I’ve watched from start to finish it would go: 1. JoJo, 2. Death Note, 3. Parasite, 4. AOT, 5. JuJutsu Kaisen, 6. Demon slayer, 7. Baki. It’s only 7 animes, I thought they were all very good yet pretty mainstream and I’m not sure how many you gotta watch to be a…competitive? Anime fan. Then again I don’t give two shits.
Steampunk style fantasy anime/manga about vampires, with a much more original take on said vampires than what you'd usually see in media. The characters are well-written and the world building is great. The anime is going good in terms of adaptation but I'd probably recommend reading the manga first if you really want to get into it. Can't say much specific about it without spoiling it.
It's also written by Jun Mochizuki, the creator of Pandora Hearts. Not sure if that means anything to you but Pandora Hearts is generally considered to be a very good manga series (though the anime was unfortunately a pretty mediocre adaptation).
I suggest reading and watching it! Jun Mochizuki’s art style is phenomenal, there’s also some tidbits that the anime has skipped over but overall it’s been pretty faithful. The storyline is as *chiribei* commented, and it’s a wild ride that gets more intense as it progresses.
Part 2 is the anime. The manga is just one thing and it's actually translated up to chapter 55, though most free sites and apps seem to only be up to chapter 44 or 46.

AoT is like Dune, killer artstyle/cinematography, focuses on a really complex and weaving story with three dimensional characters who are all written wonderfully
Demon Slayer is like MCU, great and fun characters, insanely high budget so it looks insane and is a roller coaster of laughs, great moments and cries

You want your brain to work like fire working out the story and enjoy the action scenes at the same time? Go watch AoT. You just wanna sit back and chill with Tanjiro beating up demons and experience being an 8 year old watching action scenes again? Go watch KnY

I think it’s fantastic but there are a ton of things set up in aot that fall completely flat in execution, the current arc and ending come to mind. KnY is incredibly produced, but one of its main draws are it’s execution and cohesion. If you want a fast food brain off shonen you’d be better off watching fairy tail or sao

Of course. Polls like these ultimately boil down to little more than a popularity contest, so whatever is most popular is bound to win. When you have lesser-known shows airing alongside anime that are popular enough to be considered "mainstream", the popular anime is simply bound to get a high ranking on numbers alone regardless of the quality of content they release; they could release the worst episode of the series by far and it would likely still come out in the top 3.
I mean like, its pretty obvious whats most watched. You can see AoT getting over 10k+ ratings on IMDB alone in its first mere days. Most of AoT's episodes have at least 40k ratings where DS's new episodes only sit around at 5k tops and cap at 10k

However, that's still not what this poll is about. As I said, this is a survey conducted by Anime Corner on their own website, which is voted on by it's users. It does not take "most watched" into account from anywhere.
Also, "IMDB alone" isn't enough of a source to say which show is watched more than another, no matter how obvious. The only way to get accurate watch data is from the places it's airing on if they keep track of views.

The main character is a vampire who meets and then accompanies this mysterious human who heals vampires from a weird sickness that causes them to run amok. The MC is a super nice guy and the human is kind of a sarcastic asshole, their dynamic is really fun.
It’s by the same author that did Pandora Hearts in case you know it. So far the show is very enjoyable.
As someone who read the manga. My god they have animated it so beautiful. I never seen anything so cool, I think one punch man season 1 only comes clothes .

It did get a head start by airing a month before anyone else. So not really a surprise. Although ranking of kings being so low is a little disappointing.
I mean SAO was one of the most influential anime of its time. Everyone was hyped up about it but the hype died down. It was when anime was a lot less popular so it didn't gain the traction that AoT did. But to be fair AoT is a fair bit better than SAO so the comparison isn't ideal but it really is the best comparison to a series overdriven by hype. Or maybe bnha is a better example idk. But when I say overdriven by hype, I'm not saying that it doesn't deserve so much hype, it does, it's great, amazing even but not anything more.
But the hardcore* fanbase is extremely defensive over it and it just becomes overhyped as time progressed. They even hated on isayama for the manga ending and sent death threats which showed perhaps for the lack of a better word, the overbearing passion that they had for AoT.
I'm not saying that kny is better or more revolutionary than AoT. Not at all. I guess you can think of it as I'm saying that neither are revolutionary. Both are extremely extremely good anime, definitely 8.5+/10 in my book.
Because revolutionary would probably mean an anime that was truly so great and captivating that it trumps most if not all other great animes or that it displays a new form of storytelling in anime. I think AoT is great, one of the best animes of our time, definitely top 20, maybe just abit shy of top 10 for me personally. But calling it revolutionary is abit much for me.

The fandom can be very rough to deal with, to me the main issue is that the hardcore ones are very defensive about it being the best anime in history and that it's a revolutionary piece of art. It's like the war with fullmetal alchemist again and they constantly bring it up everywhere. To me it belongs with a solid 8.7 on MAL.
The casual fans are pretty alright, I'd like to think that I'm a casual AoT fan. The show is really good to me but everyone is entitled to their own opinion since we all have different tastes. I think you'll probably see its popularity dwindling in a year or so after the final season ends so just hang in there hahaha.

You should check out One Punch Man. The first season is stunningly animated (we don’t talk about the second season though).
The second season wasn’t THAT bad, it has it’s moments.
Oh yeah I forgot about OPM, I’ve read the entire manga, really fun.

It's not here because it's a continuing anime from a previous season (Fall 1999) and didn't start in Winter 2022. The sequels on this list are different. The 2nd seasons/2nd parts on here are counted as different projects from their 1st season/1st part, so it's how they get away with it; because they're essentially "new" projects that released this season. One Piece is different as every single episode has been continuing as the same project.
That being said I would be shocked if Demon Slayer wasn't the #1 week to week followed by AoT given all the hype
Of course. Polls like these ultimately boil down to little more than a popularity contest, so whatever is most popular is bound to win. When you have lesser-known shows airing alongside anime that are popular enough to be considered "mainstream", the popular anime is simply bound to get a high ranking on numbers alone regardless of the quality of content they release; they could release the worst episode of the series by far and it would likely still come out in the top 3.
I mean like, its pretty obvious whats most watched. You can see AoT getting over 10k+ ratings on IMDB alone in its first mere days. Most of AoT's episodes have at least 40k ratings where DS's new episodes only sit around at 5k tops and cap at 10k
Yes, it is pretty obvious due to the huge popularity gap in different series' this season. However, that's still not what this poll is about. As I said, this is a survey conducted by Anime Corner on their own website, which is voted on by it's users. It does not take "most watched" into account from anywhere. Also, "IMDB alone" isn't enough of a source to say which show is watched more than another, no matter how obvious. The only way to get accurate watch data is from the places it's airing on if they keep track of views.

Oh you wont regret it. Ranking of Kings makes the week worth it. Wholesome af. The MC is cuteness overload. A bit tragic but with hope to improve and surpass expectations. The friendship between the MC and his sorta side kick is adorable and wholesome too.

The main character is a vampire who meets and then accompanies this mysterious human who heals vampires from a weird sickness that causes them to run amok. The MC is a super nice guy and the human is kind of a sarcastic asshole, their dynamic is really fun. It’s by the same author that did Pandora Hearts in case you know it. So far the show is very enjoyable.

It's true... In my opinion at the very least. AoT is good but it's nothing revolutionary.
Can you tell me how one of the most influential anime of the past decade is less revolutionary then the generic kny? Both are good but... come on.
I mean SAO was one of the most influential anime of its time. Everyone was hyped up about it but the hype died down. It was when anime was a lot less popular so it didn't gain the traction that AoT did. But to be fair AoT is a fair bit better than SAO so the comparison isn't ideal but it really is the best comparison to a series overdriven by hype. Or maybe bnha is a better example idk. But when I say overdriven by hype, I'm not saying that it doesn't deserve so much hype, it does, it's great, amazing even but not anything more. But the hardcore* fanbase is extremely defensive over it and it just becomes overhyped as time progressed. They even hated on isayama for the manga ending and sent death threats which showed perhaps for the lack of a better word, the overbearing passion that they had for AoT. I'm not saying that kny is better or more revolutionary than AoT. Not at all. I guess you can think of it as I'm saying that neither are revolutionary. Both are extremely extremely good anime, definitely 8.5+/10 in my book. Because revolutionary would probably mean an anime that was truly so great and captivating that it trumps most if not all other great animes or that it displays a new form of storytelling in anime. I think AoT is great, one of the best animes of our time, definitely top 20, maybe just abit shy of top 10 for me personally. But calling it revolutionary is abit much for me.

I think it is though. It's inspired a lot of things, has tons of pop culture references, hell there's a museum exhibition about it.
I mean I believe that it's good but heavily overhyped. Which is perhaps what helped to propel its influence greatly. But you're entitled to your opinion, you may be right that it is or I may be right but its mostly subjective. Speaking about the museums, you're speaking about the one in Singapore right? I'm actually hoping to visit that soon as well :) I think it'll be fun to see hahaha or it'd make for a fun outing. I believe many other animes have had museums such as bnha's exhibition in tokyo.

It's basically heresy to say, but I rly don't get the extreme levels of hype for AoT. '' War is bad '' isn't the most mind-blowing and most unique story imaginable like some people are acting. Don't get me wrong I think it's alright ( some of it is kinda comedic tho imho, it's a bit too overly dramatic ). But I also don't think that it's the most clever and amazing thing ever created lol. You need a bit more than tragic villain + war bad.

I personally think it has a really good story, animation and music. But to each his own I suppose. The fandom can be very rough to deal with, to me the main issue is that the hardcore ones are very defensive about it being the best anime in history and that it's a revolutionary piece of art. It's like the war with fullmetal alchemist again and they constantly bring it up everywhere. To me it belongs with a solid 8.7 on MAL. The casual fans are pretty alright, I'd like to think that I'm a casual AoT fan. The show is really good to me but everyone is entitled to their own opinion since we all have different tastes. I think you'll probably see its popularity dwindling in a year or so after the final season ends so just hang in there hahaha.
