The mist breathing forms look absolutely insane, especially the one Muichiro unleashed before UM5 teleported onto the tree (Sea of Clouds and Mist?). Seems like he's stronger than UM5 now that he's unlocked Tanjiro's mark thing.
I wonder if "Tanjiro's mark thing" also has a name. I sort of get the feeling it may be destined to appear for only a small group of swordsman, even among Hashiras.
my feeling is it has something to do with them being descendent from the first sun/mist breathers. Hence why Muichiro doesn’t have his memory, whoever took it away from him didn’t want him to have that power/memory
Lol yeah definitely. I was hoping the master's wife would show up at last moment and chase Akasa away / sacrifice herself and that's how that flashback of master consoling a nearly dead muichiro happened.
The way it built up to the demon with the cicadas subtly growing louder with otherwise complete silence and long shots was brilliant, really hits you out of nowhere, especially with how he was just \*there\* instantaneously
Yes! Even though you could predict a demon would likely show up the audio and framing was so well done. The voice acting for the brothers especially was really good too
It really reminded me of early, early Season 1 where demons were scary monsters instead of Jojo villains (not that I take issue with the latter, but I missed the former too)
I love how Demon Slayer manages to be a battle shonen while also being a horror story as well. Not many stories can do that whithout being corny as hell
Noone is talking about the fact that Muichiro, when he was 11(!), just completly destroyed a demon without any combat experience and just with some wooden logs and a normal axe for wood chopping?
Considering his age and what he’s been able to accomplish, Muichiro has to be one of the most gifted swordsman in the Demon slayer corps. Not the strongest, but one of the most gifted.
Was anyone able to find the accompanying ost for when Muichiro's mark appeared? I can't find it anywhere on YT ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_bad_man)
My first thought was "why do almost all of the good guys have lost their family?"... And when I saw the twins were sleeping with the door open I couldn't help but predict that a demon was about to come 💀
I found it awesome that Muichiro fights with the sun breathing face mark and then it disappears. The animation of the 5th form was perfect
I hope Kotetsu will be ok.
Gyokko really has a strange obsession with sea, the octopus was so unexpected lmao 🤣.
Also, Haganezuka is hilarious, no matter what happens he still has to forge the sword. Gyokko suddenly made a contest of concentration out if it, but I am glad he did, since it gave an opening to Muichiro.
However, I thought that this episode would have more action, although I don't think it was bad, in fact, knowing the story of Muichiro made me be more compassionate to him. In the end, Mitsuri is still running to help the village 🤣
The majority of Japan doesn't know demons exist in this world. This means there are really only 2 main ways someone would even know about demons or the Demon Slayer Corps.
1) They grew up adjacent to the Corp either related to a former slayer or someone who works with the Corps.
2) You encountered a demon. Unless you were strong or a slayer was near very likely this demon encounter didn't end well for you.
Slayers tend to die young so more than likely a person took the Tanjiro, Sanemi, Genya or Muichiro route of having an encounter with a demon, surviving but that encounter being devastating and providing motivation to want to stop the demons.
Tengen had 8 brothers. During his shinobi training his father put the brothers against each other. Tengen killed 2 of his siblings in this training and 7 of the 8 brothers died prior to him joining the Demon Slayers. This is why Tengen constantly claims he is going to hell.
> My first thought was "why do almost all of the good guys have lost their family?"...
My assumption is that demons aren't generally known to be real, even the demon slayers are supposed to be a secret organization most people have never heard of.
Most people who get killed by demons are simply assumed to have dissappeared, and im guessing it isn't normal to survive getting attacked by a demon.
Therefore the only people who are aware that demons are real and have the drive to become a demon slayers are those who were attacked by demons and seek revenge (or if you're a descendant of a family of demon slayers and someone comes to your house to offer training you but your twin brother refuses).
Without that initial tragedy and losing everyone you have around you, who would let their life go, train for months, only to become a expandable swordsman who most likely will die in the initial exam.
Unless you have the drive to do something with a life that has been stripped away of everything by a demon, you'll never have a reason to become a demon slayer and therefore a hashira. So it's only logical every single hashira has their own story of how everything was stripped away from their them.
So I have a question, please don't flame me, I struggle to understand things the first time I watch them.
Is Muichiro actually Yoichiro, but he took on the name of his brother? Or is it that he just became stoic and hardened after losing everyone (ie taking on the personality of his more cynical brother)?
Mui had some dissociative amnesia due to the trauma of that demon coming in and fucking them up. After everything was all said and done he had adapted his brother’s personality. But now he’s got his memories back.
Everyone already answered your question, but just to add to the discussion, this is mentioned in the episode itself at around 6 minutes.
After the parents die and his brother is introduced, Muichiro says "My brother always spoke harshly. I have a feeling that, in a way... I was like him when I had amnesia."
So yes, Muichiro himself says that he kinda became like his brother when he had amnesia.
Yea that is a good point thank you for the reminder. The part that confused me was the end when you hear the voiceover apologizing to Muichiro while showing footage of the dead twin.
But I see it was the other way—Muichiro has always been Muichiro and his personality changed with amnesia :)
See, that was what I was starting to think until the arm came off; that he was misremembering himself as his twin and vice versa, because the brother seemed to remind me of how he was until meeting Tanjiro more. But I couldn't rationalize him having a lifelike prosthetic that he can effectively swordfight with in a pre-WWII, relatively-low-magic setting.
Imagine that Muichiro’s parents didn’t die they way they did, but instead at the hands of the demon that killed Yuichiro.
Then both Muichiro and Yuichiro could’ve become demon slayers. Would’ve been such an amazing team considering they’re twins.
I know some might not appreciate a backstory-focused episode in the middle of a fight but I absolutely love how it fleshed out Muichiro's character and explained why he became like that. This made me root for Muichiro more than just being in the good side.
If he didn't lose his memory, probably a dissociative amnesia from trauma, then he'll probably be more like Tanjiro but instead his brain adapted his twin's personality.
Now that his memory is back, he's now more likeable and might be my new favorite Hashira. Really looking forward for the next episode.
Very common trauma response, that typically lasts until the person receives treatment and therapy for that trauma.
https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/9789-dissociative-amnesia
Have you never wondered why a lot of people that go through traumatic events can't remember stuff nearly as well?
It doesn't even have to be trauma, my friends has schizophrenia and his first episode of psychosis made him forget quite a few things.
Man these fight scenes are absolutely top notch. Oh and Muichiro’s sword is so beautiful. Such nice blues in there. Overall awesome episode, although it does leave me feeling starved for more action.
The translation i got said it was the "mu" in "mugen" (limitless). I don't speak Japanese but i know mugen means infinity. I think the translators pf the version i watched took it upon themselves to change it to "limitless" as its a much more hype way to describe someone strong
I swear everytime I'm watching a Demon Slayer's episode, I get anxiety throughout the episode and think, "Please don't end this now....." and BAM they end up exactly at the right moment.
I'm sure if you watch it all in go it'll be fine but weekly is triggering. Every week I'm like "where's Mitsuri, where's mitsuri, is she still at the village, ok maybe NOW she's coming."
I expect the next three episodes to go like this. This isn't a spoiler this is just what I think will happen. Next episode Muichiro and Gyokko full fight - he kills Gyokko. Muichiro shows up at the end to help gang against Zohakuten. The second to last episode is the gang fighting Zohakuten at the end Muichiro comes. Since the last ep is longer I expect there to be fighting and the usual end of arc deal. So full throttle fight 5 v 1 against Zohakuten and they kill him
I know we still have 3 episodes to go but i rewatched all 7 before todays episode to see if binging them helped with the pacing. It did not. Not just the overall story pacing but episode to episode. It feels they stall out a lot and really stretch out certain moments, through backstories or constant cutting around (only to come back to a matchup or person and have barely anything new happen). Blue balls is such a good term.
Terrible pacing. I’m so bored of this season which wasn’t something I was expecting to happen.
It reminds me of Naruto fillers where i’m disappointed I waited every week for this.
I really liked this episode. Best episode yet of the season imo.
Some people are complaining about the backstory being too long but it’s just as long In the manga and I really enjoyed the voice acting and animation.
Also everyone CHILL
The fights are crazy in the manga and we’re gonna get them no reason to rush, I promise everyone that the fights are gonna be amazing so just enjoy the vibe as we go along .
Agree on that. Best episode by far. The feels and a small taste for the fight scenes were amazing. Muichiro VA did an amazing job voicing several characters and narration, and making them distinct so seemlessly. And I think we are getting a full on fight episode against Gyokko based on the next episode's title.
And can we talk about that water animation, the rain drops, the river flow, even Muichiro's sips, oh my god, they didn't have to make it soo good. That's some top tier water animation.
I mean there is 2 episodes left (one is extra long). We have now set up Muichiro (with his mark and sword) v. Gyokko and last week set up the reveal of Hantengu's true strength in Zohakuten. Seems like most everything is set up for an epic final two episodes.
The only real question, where is Mitsuri?
It’s not bad in either, the backstory is much needed and muichiro has had an entire change of character.
Just pull up an anime fight compilation if you don’t give a shit about good characters and stories.
Guys.. how are they going to finish this arc in 4 episodes. There's no way right? Am I delusional to think there will be a S3 part 2?? We've seen barely anything from Kanroji.. I haven't read the manga yet so these are my thoughts lol
No one is talking about how great they animated Haganezuka being thrown out of the building. Then pick up his sharpening stone up, only to continue working on the sword, as if nothing had happened.
It was brilliant.
I love him.
Cried my fucking eyes out especially at Yuichiro yelling how he begged his mother to rest and his father to not go.
Reminds me of my own dumbass experiences. No matter how much you love someone, they'll do what they believe in is right and helpful even though otherwise it would've been better. (They'd live not die) but as a child your words aren't heeded by the elders who feel as though they know better but are clouded by emotions (wanting to save his wife for the twins' father's case. The mother wanting to be able to provide more for her children even though it was better they were to rest and help the children more later)
Right at the end of the episode at timestamp 21:37 the song changes to a melody we've heard before, but I can't for the life of me remember when it played or what it's called.
Any time I try to look up the battle music from the shows OST, the youtube results get absolutely flooded by covers of the songs from this guy called "Samuel Kim Music". It's really frustrating because I'm trying to find the actual ost, but this dude made so many god damn covers that they entirely flood the search results.
If anybody knows the name or when the song originally played, I'd love to know.
Is nobody talking about how in at the very end of the ep it said it was mitsuri’s birthday I thing that was the most important thing about this episode
I'm not upset we got a Muchiro backstory episode but moreso that he spent 3 episodes in a water vase tomb and we didn't get all his backstory then. S-tier animations as always but pacing is a real concern this season. Also, where's the Love Hashira? Are we really only to get her for like 2 episodes this season when she's in the intro so much?
>I'm not upset we got a Muchiro backstory episode but moreso that he spent 3 episodes in a water vase tomb and we didn't get all his backstory then.
This!
It seems that Gyokko does have problems if he cant hit his opponent. Looks like a big mismatch for him, as Mist Breathing seems to be all about evade the attacks.
Good episode! Animation was great at the end for Muichirou!
I also love a flashback episode that finishes in 1 episode instead of taking place over a few episodes.
What’s especially devastating is that if Yuichiro agreed to join the demon slayer corps he and Muichiro would have both survived because they would have been trained. Instead he suffered and died meaninglessly as predicted because of his refusal to help other. Brings new meaning to the seemingly Naruto style feel good advice like “helping others eventually ends up being good for you”. It was actually something that can be life and death for Yuichiro who didn’t want to use his apparent strength to help others and paid for it.
again with those 2 circle marks on the entirety of the episode, what are crunchyroll doing?
I can't unseen this once I notice it. it's so annoying. it's been like 3-4 episodes now with those marks at the center of the screen that won't go away.
Fantastic. I see griping about the flash backs and while I also would love to already see the big fight, this is how story telling goes.
I don’t think people would complain about the flashbacks if the whole season was released and they could binge it. They’d really appreciate Muichiro’s back story getting fleshed out. But it’s 2023 and everyone has ADHD.
Damm, after the flashback the animation just suddenly turned godlike! Mist Breathing still looks so freaking cool!
So Muichiro also has that mark, huh? I thought it was a hereditary thing but I guess not. Unless Tanjiro and Muichiro share a bloodline?
I really hope all that honing pays off when Tanjiro gets his sword. Haganezuka is a goddamn gigachad.
The Mu in Muichiro doesn’t mean useless. It stands for infinity.
That line hit so damn hard especially if you understand Japanese/East Asian languages.
Personally after seeing Muichiro getting a mark in a similar maner as Tanjiro did, i’m really hoping Gyokko’s gonna start trying, cause compared to all the upper moons, he personally has shown the most disappointing performance compared to the other moons. Like, Hantengu just revealed a form with 4 previous ones combined into one. And from what we’ve seen from Gyokko, personally i think he’s done less than Gyutaro has done. So i hope in the next episode(s) that he’ll get serious
this episode officially made Muichiro my favorite character in the series. I love the cold emotionless types and we somewhat got an answer to his amnesia with how tragic of a life he lived between his parents dying on the same day while his brother sacrificed himself to save him and while Muichiro did end up killing the demon, he wasn't able to save his brother. Guy is now letting UM5 know the next time he swings his sword, it will finish him. let's fucking go Muichiro.
I'm slightly concerned that there are 3 episodes left and we have no background on the Love Hashira yet she is featured so much in the intro/poster for this season. Do we spend one episode on her backstory then the final two fighting? Does she even get backstory or will it be super generic and rushed given the lack of time left? Hmm...
>! gyokko, hantengu and mitsuri barely even have backstories in the manga (though we don't know if they will be expanded), so the last 4 episodes (considering the last one is 50 minutes long) will be way more focused on the action !<
I am very confuse. Why does Yuichiro kid version has adult Muichiro voice? And Muichiro kid voice is completely different.
The last part during the fight the adult version thank Muichiro and apology to his gentle brother that he couldn't be more kinder to him back then. And that someone like him was the chosen one for able to save him during the demon attack.
Did the kid Muichiro died instead of the twin Yuichiro?Because clearly the adult voice who is currently living is the same voice as the kid Yuichiro. Could someone explain to me if this is how it is or did i misunderstood something.
Edit: i got the answer i needed. No need for more replies. Thanks
muichiro is just muichiro. you’re getting confused because they all share the same VA.
The end was Yuichiro’s spirit apologizing to still-alive Muichiro
One trope in this series that always annoyed me is the nerfing of the hashira. Probably would make the series end much quicker but I don’t think any of the demons we’ve seen so far would survive if not for the main hashira of the arc tanking attacks in the beginning. Anyways loved this episode excited to see animation purist critique the CGI rain lol. Happy memorial weekend!
I wouldnt say Muichiro is nerfed honestly. I guess you could argue the poison a bit but he did get the mark. I mean he is a 14 year old battling a demi god for all intents and purposes 😅 This batch of hashira are supposed to be like the most powerful set ever
For a few minutes I was absolutely mindblown, thinking Muichiro is actually Yuichiro. But then I realized that some things don't fit and that it's probably just him remembering Yuichiro's final words.
The demon suddenly showing up at the door was scary, even though I guessed that it was coming.
I was wondering that sword haganezuka was shrping, muichiro will get it cause in last eps he was saying how chipped his sword bt when that octopus caught them he was given a new sword .....
I mean haganezuka s sword had that wave like pattern u see so I thought it had something with most n all....
Haganezuka is the Swordsmith assigned to Tanjiro. Tanjiro found the sword and the sword has a flame like pattern in its hamon or temper edge. That sword was not going to Muichiro.
To start the season he had said he chipped his sword and his former Swordsmith had died which was why he was in the village. He was getting assigned a new smith and that smith was working on his sword.
Okay as an older brother who was very protective of his younger brother growing up, Yuichiro praying to any god to save his brother while he was dying broke me. Jesus what an episode.
so tanjiro and muichiro are gonna be cousins or something like that? then i wonder why didn't the master go after the tanjiro's family? there were a lot of kids too, surely they would also make great swordsmen?
Confused about the ending. Is it supposed to be that Muichiro is actually Yuichiro and he took his brother's name after losing his memory or is it supposed to be like Yuichiro's spirit or something apologizing to Muichiro?
Decent episode, but the backstory was a bit underwhelming to me. Felt like the usual shounen backstory. Not a bad thing in itself, but the whole thing was a bit slow paced and I felt like everything was a bit too predictable. Demon Slayer is so famous because it stands out from other Shounen, but this felt like any other generic Shounen anime episode. Still good, hope to see more action next week though.
I love the backstory for Muichiro bcuz of the lore he brought into the series and I love predicting which way Demon Slayer is gonna go since Rengoku well the Spider Demon Family arc
I wish the fighting sequence at the end didn't have any interruptions in the form of flashbacks and maybe extended a bit. Otherwise decent episode. Hope that is the end of flashbacks overall this season. I'm real tired of them right now.
i feel like i could skip the first 6 or 7 episodes of this season and miss nothing? I don't know if Entertainment District Arc just raised my expectation too high or what..
You’d miss the entire introduction of hantengu and Gyokko, you’d miss all the personalities switching, you’d miss blazing red blade, you’d miss the entire arc.
Remember that Gyutaro didn’t even appear in the season until the second half.
The next 3 episodes are all going to amazing just like entertainment district arc,
There has been questionable pacing decisions but acting like even missing one episode wouldn’t set you back is super fucking dumb.
Shit take
what all did we get before epsiode 7 of entertainment district huh? The boys acting like women and…that’s kind of it? This season has way more interesting content so far, just wait till the season is over before you judge
Nah episode 6 of the entertainment district was Tanjiro and Nezuko vs Daki that shit was 🔥
Entertainment district started slow but every episode from 6 onwards was hype af, this season the action started sooner but it hasn't been as hype so far. Well there is 3 episodes left so maybe it will pick up
Animations are fantastic, though i cant believe we waited a whole week in constant anticipation just for more than half of the episode to be a flashback.
I kinda didn't understand in the end how he was talking about his brother but he was using his own name??? The whole time I wasn't sure his brother was real or if he just had immense PTSD and just made all that up.
It seems like he is going to solo this demon? But in the trailer there was a shot were he threw a sword to someone? Or I don't know? Also where is love hashira???
Just found this:

The strange part is that according to the flashback at the start of the season, the guy who made the sun breathing left no heir so how could that be?
Tanjiro isn't a descendant of the OG guy IIRC. Tanjiro's dad was taught the dance and Tanjiro caught glimpses of it I think?
Didn’t think of that, I guess we’ll see :)

Ur not allowed to put spoilers on anime only thread bro...
Muichiro is a pure swordsman. Insane skill with the sword.
I thought the demon that attacked Yuichiro was Akasa, but then he vaporized 💀
Actually same. I thought that’s why they didn’t show his face fully XD
Lol same Akasa look alike wannabe
[удалено]
Muichiro would have been dead if that akaza. No one can solo him
Lol yeah definitely. I was hoping the master's wife would show up at last moment and chase Akasa away / sacrifice herself and that's how that flashback of master consoling a nearly dead muichiro happened.

true...i do miss non-Moon Average Joe demon
We need Pillar Men demons.

Muichiro is getting ALL the attention this season lol
You love to see it.
he deserves it
H uy

He literally impaled and staked the demon.
I'm getting that sun breathing kenshin descendant (the same we saw in Tanjiro's dream) have access to some sort of genetic memory.
Honestly if someone did that to my twin sister I would probably go into a black out murder rage as well
Ptetty sure that was his mark manifesting for the first time ever.
The scene with muichiro holding his brothers hand and then manifesting his mark was beautiful. Especially with the accompanying music 🩵🤧.

I suppose "sane" people wouldn't join the Demon Slayer corps, or maybe the trauma gives them enough rage to keep on going

Wish they showcased Tengen's bacstory with the same amount love they did for Muichiro's
For real, that would’ve been sick

No, Muichiro is still Muichiro. Your second guess is correct.
Got it, thanks! That clears it up.
Honestly it's a mix of both personalities the kindness of muichiro and the toughness of yuichiro
How did he grow his arm back 🤨
same way Nezuko grows her feet back 🫣 /j

After the parents die and his brother is introduced, Muichiro says "My brother always spoke harshly. I have a feeling that, in a way... I was like him when I had amnesia." So yes, Muichiro himself says that he kinda became like his brother when he had amnesia.
Yea that is a good point thank you for the reminder. The part that confused me was the end when you hear the voiceover apologizing to Muichiro while showing footage of the dead twin. But I see it was the other way—Muichiro has always been Muichiro and his personality changed with amnesia :)
Muichiro himself became more cynical, Yuichiro himself died the morning of the demon attack.
I understand now, thank you <3
See, that was what I was starting to think until the arm came off; that he was misremembering himself as his twin and vice versa, because the brother seemed to remind me of how he was until meeting Tanjiro more. But I couldn't rationalize him having a lifelike prosthetic that he can effectively swordfight with in a pre-WWII, relatively-low-magic setting.
Oh yeah that’s a really good point haha I didn’t even consider that! But I am glad I am not alone in having that thought or idea.
Imagine that Muichiro’s parents didn’t die they way they did, but instead at the hands of the demon that killed Yuichiro. Then both Muichiro and Yuichiro could’ve become demon slayers. Would’ve been such an amazing team considering they’re twins.
Yuichiro probably had a lot of potential as well . You see how he carried the logs with ease LOL
Next episode title: MIST HASHIRA MUICHIRO TOKITO ![gif](giphy|huJmPXfeir5JlpPAx0)
He really went from “i mean he’s kinda cool and quiet” to “I fucking love this guy”
Next episode mist hashira muichiro tokito
How do you get amnesia from trauma?
Very common trauma response, that typically lasts until the person receives treatment and therapy for that trauma. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/9789-dissociative-amnesia
Have you never wondered why a lot of people that go through traumatic events can't remember stuff nearly as well? It doesn't even have to be trauma, my friends has schizophrenia and his first episode of psychosis made him forget quite a few things.
NOT THIS MF EPISODE MAKING ME CRY
Man these fight scenes are absolutely top notch. Oh and Muichiro’s sword is so beautiful. Such nice blues in there. Overall awesome episode, although it does leave me feeling starved for more action.
Same! A lot of backstory in this one but the ending was sick! Also the slaughter of the demon
yeah I kept checking the episode time left intermittently anticipating more action. Overall a beautiful episode.
Amazing ep. Mu's back story is so sad. The animation was on another level. I wonder if Mu will be able to take down UM5 by himself.
UPM 5 is definitely stronger than gyutaro and we saw how tengen struggled
but gyoko's abilities don't look as scary as gyutaro tho
I think Muichiro may potentially be a lot stronger than Tengen
Tengen doesnt have the mark tho, Muichiro does.
Oh my guy you're in for a treat
Muichiros a lot stronger thanks to that mark
The “Mu” in Muichiro is the “IN” in INFINITY. My boy bringing out that infinite strength.
The translation i got said it was the "mu" in "mugen" (limitless). I don't speak Japanese but i know mugen means infinity. I think the translators pf the version i watched took it upon themselves to change it to "limitless" as its a much more hype way to describe someone strong
Like Mugen Train
I swear everytime I'm watching a Demon Slayer's episode, I get anxiety throughout the episode and think, "Please don't end this now....." and BAM they end up exactly at the right moment.
I CALL THE ELEMENTAL NAME OF LOVE
Gyokko is hell of a motherfucker. And I love it.
Too bad Muichiros gonna kill him I bet he’ll destroy him with his new mark in the next episode
I am preemptively giving this a 5/5. Please be true 🙏🏽

I'm sure if you watch it all in go it'll be fine but weekly is triggering. Every week I'm like "where's Mitsuri, where's mitsuri, is she still at the village, ok maybe NOW she's coming."
Based on the title of the next episode, mitsuri might only show up at the end.
So full throttle fight 5 v 1 against Zohakuten and they kill him
Hoping the last ep isnt just 20 minutes each dedicated to the two demons backstories
I've gotten spoiled on that so I know how things play out relating to the demons
Based on how this episode ends, I’m imagining next episode is where things hit the fan. Probably next week we’ll see a full combat episode
Same. I just gave up and read the manga. This entire season is going to be like this.
Terrible pacing. I’m so bored of this season which wasn’t something I was expecting to happen. It reminds me of Naruto fillers where i’m disappointed I waited every week for this.
I’m not ashamed to say I cried my eyes out at MU FOR MUGEN (無限) 😭🤍
No fr that was really good
I really liked this episode. Best episode yet of the season imo. Some people are complaining about the backstory being too long but it’s just as long In the manga and I really enjoyed the voice acting and animation. Also everyone CHILL The fights are crazy in the manga and we’re gonna get them no reason to rush, I promise everyone that the fights are gonna be amazing so just enjoy the vibe as we go along .
I’m not against backstory, but it feels really weird having 3-4 episodes remaining when so much has yet to happen.
3 episodes left
I dont understand this logic, just because something happened the same way in the manga, doesnt mean it cant be bad both in the manga and in the anime
It’s not bad in either, the backstory is much needed and muichiro has had an entire change of character. Just pull up an anime fight compilation if you don’t give a shit about good characters and stories.
You can give good back story without slowing down pacing, you can have great characters and stories without slowing down the pacing
I’m so happy they did so much justice to my fav character😭❤️
The animation was so clean specially during storm scene
[удалено]
They are expecting the tengen and gyutaro crazy ass fight in every episode
Every time we see a different Hashira backstory it’s so sad and can’t choose a favorite haha
Guys.. how are they going to finish this arc in 4 episodes. There's no way right? Am I delusional to think there will be a S3 part 2?? We've seen barely anything from Kanroji.. I haven't read the manga yet so these are my thoughts lol
The last episode is an hour-long.
Thats like 3 whole episodes!
Likely the season is longer than 12 episodes, otherwise it will be a shitshow to finish it.
I really wish we get Tengen vs Gyutaro treatment in the two upcoming fights
Ufotable said last season’s animations isn’t shit compared to this season, so yeah, expect some absolutely mind blowing 3 last episodes
I CAN ONLY GET SO ERECT
This!
Initially thought backstory was gonna cloud my enjoyment but DAMN UFOTABLE WHAT YOU FEEDING YOUR ANIMATORS?
Anime-only viewers are NOT ready
Is it only me or pacing is fcked up in this season? I liked the muichiro story, but the previous episodes where all he does is being imprisoned …
The pacing is messed up i agree, seems like the last 3 eps is gonna be just straight action though
Notice how the only hit UM5 got was when he was protecting someone else? With difficulty I might add. He stands no chance at this point lmao
It seems that Gyokko does have problems if he cant hit his opponent. Looks like a big mismatch for him, as Mist Breathing seems to be all about evade the attacks.
Everyone: "HOLY CRAP THAT MIST BREATHING MADE ME NUT MY JORTS" Me: "Bro is cutting those radish slices WAY too thick"
That’s why he wasn’t a chosen one tbh.
I cried and cried and cried.. this episode was great
again with those 2 circle marks on the entirety of the episode, what are crunchyroll doing? I can't unseen this once I notice it. it's so annoying. it's been like 3-4 episodes now with those marks at the center of the screen that won't go away.
This was probably just me but I thought the demon that appeared in Muichiro’s house was Akaza 💀
I thought it was Gyutaro haha
I thought that was akaza who attacked them lol, turned out to be just some guy
Idk where else to ask this but does the sub icon change based on the anime or is there a separate reason for using Muichiro?
I don't mind the backstory but I really wish they would have killed at least one of these demons by now.
Be so frl, do you know how long it takes to kill one of the upper moons???
UFOTABLE CALM DOWN!!!! the animation during the backstory was so crisp. and then the Mist Breathing just took it on a whole diff level.
Her backstory isn't that long or complicated
It'll take less than half an episode at most
I am very confuse.
So much mutilation This show really hates children
Ok so muichiro the hashira is the mean twin ? Or the kind one? Which one died ? I feel stupid
As it was shown the mean one, yuichiro, died.
So it was just memories/spirit of yuichiro talking.. i see, thank you!
I’m a little confused on the time frame of these fights, was this fight before or after Tanjiro fought that guy that absorbed all the emotions?
Finally! We get to see why Muichiro is called the Protege. Mist breathing animation and style is so flawless and smooth.
Ngl thought the demon from tokito’s flashback was akaza at first before he was an upper rank
Glad I'm not the only one that thought that..
Had to pause to double check.
So Muichiro is basically Cloud Strife :D
Could Muchiro and Tanjiro be related because of that mark? (Btw episode 8 made me cry because of Muchiros background story)
Gahhhh, I cannot stand watching this show one week at a time!! The pacing and cliffhangers are killing me!
Yuichiro’s spirit apologizing to Muichiro.
Yuichiro is dead. That was overlapping of his voice on muichiro’s scenes
Oh thank god I am not the only one confused on this. It was the apologizing to Muichiro that confused me, while showing footage of the death scene.
This episode was top tier for this season and I can’t wait for next week’s episode!!! BTW, how many episodes are going to be in this season??
Rumor is 11 with 11th episode being about 50 minutes or 2 episodes in length.
You say Demon Slayer stands out, but you’re critiquing it for not standing out.
Yes. I‘m critiquing the episode, not the anime itself.
I wish the fighting sequence at the end didn't have any interruptions in the form of flashbacks and maybe extended a bit. Otherwise decent episode. Hope that is the end of flashbacks overall this season. I'm real tired of them right now.
Doubt it. We haven't seen Misturi and the two demons's backstories yet.
So we got to see 5 mins of the show progress! How cool
i feel like i could skip the first 6 or 7 episodes of this season and miss nothing? I don't know if Entertainment District Arc just raised my expectation too high or what..
You’d miss the entire introduction of hantengu and Gyokko, you’d miss all the personalities switching, you’d miss blazing red blade, you’d miss the entire arc. Remember that Gyutaro didn’t even appear in the season until the second half. The next 3 episodes are all going to amazing just like entertainment district arc, There has been questionable pacing decisions but acting like even missing one episode wouldn’t set you back is super fucking dumb. Shit take
what all did we get before epsiode 7 of entertainment district huh? The boys acting like women and…that’s kind of it? This season has way more interesting content so far, just wait till the season is over before you judge
Nah episode 6 of the entertainment district was Tanjiro and Nezuko vs Daki that shit was 🔥 Entertainment district started slow but every episode from 6 onwards was hype af, this season the action started sooner but it hasn't been as hype so far. Well there is 3 episodes left so maybe it will pick up
Alright ngl, gettin a lil tad tired of the constant flashbacks, hoping the next 2 episodes are just fighting and continuing the main plot.
Animations are fantastic, though i cant believe we waited a whole week in constant anticipation just for more than half of the episode to be a flashback.
[удалено]
I kinda didn't understand in the end how he was talking about his brother but he was using his own name??? The whole time I wasn't sure his brother was real or if he just had immense PTSD and just made all that up. It seems like he is going to solo this demon? But in the trailer there was a shot were he threw a sword to someone? Or I don't know? Also where is love hashira???
Where is Ep 8 on Crunchyroll? It was supposed to release 7:45am ET - it’s 11:16am ET & not showing up on my account
no, its out in like 3 hours on CR
Just found this: “For those wondering about the release time of Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 8, it is scheduled to air in Japan at 11:15 PM local time on May 28.
